How do i unlock it ?

You have to make a deal with the desire demon in the Arl of Redcliffe quest

No probs. If you have awakening I think another possible method is to simply load up an awakening game, buy all the specialisations you want (which unlocks it for your profile) such that you can go back to origins and find it all unlocked.

Or if you're playing a mage you can save, make the deal with the demon to unlock the spec then reload the save and either kill her or get some other reward. However, if you're not a mage this isn't an option.

This is for xbox. I'm not so sure how it works for other platforms..

You also have to be a mage when you speak to the desire demon, and it has to be your warden character, not a companion.

Finally, in the Elven Alienage you can make a deal with the Tevinter Mage at the end of the slaver part and he will teach you it. If you missed your chance that is.

Caladrius will use blood magic to boost your constitution. I haven't heard of him teaching you the blood mage spec.

also i think you can purchase it in awakenings and i think it carries over, im not sure about that though

Or install the respec raven mod.
I believe they also come with all the specializations when you look it closely in its eyes...

You can make a Mage, quickly go through it Origin, go to Lothering. Avoid most quests there. Leave and go to red cliff first. Abandon the town and let the undead kill everyone. Go back in and you can deal with Connor. Have Jowan perform his rutual and connors mother die. Go into fade and make sure you have a good coercion skill. make deal with demon for blood magic. Save.

Quick way to unlock blood magic. now its unlocked for your profile and you can use it in other save games. Should only take a couple hours.
