I realize I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but why does tali have such a large fan base? she's one of the characters I never really cared about.

Asking a question like this in a general forum usually just results in a few hundred 'I hate Tali' posts.
The actual Tali fans stick to the Tali Thread. Less hastle that way. There are far too many people who hate Tali simply because she's popular.
