I've made my decision. If, in ME3, I can help Samara reconnect with her family, I'll choose her. If not, I'll choose Morinth.
Now why would you do that?
Also. Did you not already read the spoilers?

Perhaps not these. Would you PM them, please?Lizardviking wrote...

People actively seeking to spoil themselves? I still don't get it.
By and large, I don't, and I've actively avoided seeking out Liara spoilers. However, this would make my decision of what to do on Samara's loyalty mission, which I'm approaching on my ME2 playthrough, significantly easier.jreezy wrote...

Morinth it is then.Xilizhra wrote...

Nothing new, york. And while Dean likes goading fans, he also has a point about Samara ding before or during ME3: it is a very likely (and suitable) ending for the character. Wether or not she's miserable or at peace is still open, however.

I've been brought up-to-date, and it sounds like a simple retread of Samara's situation in ME2. I thought Bioware would have learned their lesson from reception of Garrus' situation in ME2, that character fanbases don't like retreads. Guess I'm out.

There is a difference between Saleon and Sidonis, in that Sidonis' harm to Garrus was both far more personal and something he felt was proof that he himself was an incompetent leader (thanks to the turian stigma against those who promote subordinates beyond their capabilities).Asenza wrote...

I didn't think about it as so much of a retread... I just thought the person who went overboard on Jack and Thane's background was let loose on Samara in ME3 -and they decided to torture her far more- but you're right, it is very much revisiting old ground.
And the whole whole Sidonis/Saelon thing did legitimately bother me.

That said, I do think seeing Samara's facade finally break would be interesting.
She overwrote her initial personality with the "justicar" one, which quite frankly seems like some kind of robot a lot of the time. Sometimes even moreso than Legion. It feels like there's only a few times when her programming wavers to show who she actually is.Garden of Heaven wrote...

But why would you think that Samara was putting up a facade at all?
Her personality seemed realistic, not like she was hiding behind a mask or anything.
