What are you talking about, Samara's fiiiiiine.

Just...let me finish the last chapter.

She'll be fine then.

In all seriousness though, yes, poor Samara. Again. :<

Regards the endings: Welcome to the forever growing club. Here's your t-shirt and complimentary lemons.

When I get home, I'll write something small about Samara's role in the ground battle in London.

I have something written, but I'm not sure about something. Do you think Samara would be mixed in with the Hammer forces (and this assumes she falls back, and so doesn't die, of course)? Would she tacitly take the Oath of Subsumation to Alliance command? Or do you think she would work on her own?

I think I could picture her asking them where they need her and basically moving from weak spot to weak spot helping them secure said areas as she goes.

Ah. I pictured her showing up and doing her own thing. Those solitary Justicar habits die hard, you know.  Then again, Samara did really seem to appreciate the opportunity to work with Paragon Shepard in ME2.

Well she does note a few times that the role of Justicar is lonely.

What if...Samara's forehead doodads do have significance?  What if they symbolize qualities that the asari associate with Justicars, such as strength and determination?  Maybe that's why Liara also wears them with her "Justicar" outfit.  Maybe Liara is cosplaying a Justicar?

Now you got my mental hamster wheel going.

Shepard: *grabs Samara's wrists behind she can pull the trigger*

Samara: *restrained anger* Let. Go.

Shepard: *obviously angry* Do you really expect me to do that?

Samara: *sends her head back into Shepard's nose*

Shepard: *grip loosens out of surprise; nose is bleeding now*

Samara: *gets free, turns to face Shepard with biotics flared*

Shepard: *glaring* If you're going to hurt me, fine. But I won't stop trying to save you even if my arms are legs are broken. *spreads arms*

Samara: *lifts hand*

Shepard: *expression softens* Falere just saw her sister sacrifice herself and lost the home she's had for the last four centuries. Does she really need to see this?

Samara: *pauses, seeming to rethink her actions*

- - - cue conversation about staying at the Monastery, not letting the Reapers take her alive yadda yadda - - -

*Attempted Romance Variation*

Shepard: No! *grabs Samara's wrists before she can pull the trigger*

Samara: *restrained anger; warning* Shepard...

Shepard: *angry and a little upset* Really? You expect me to just let you go?

Samara: *brief expression of regret - sends head back into Shepard's nose*

Shepard: *grip loosens out of surprise; nose is bloody now*

Samara: *gets free, turns to face Shepard*

Shepard: *looks very ready to just dive tackle the Justicar*

Samara: Shepard, stop...

Shepard: *glaring* For what!? So I can watch you die?

Samara: *looks away, her expression somewhat sad* I am fulfilling the Code as I have always done.

Shepard: *walks towards her* Well in this one instance the Code is god damn wrong.

Samara: *looks at Shepard, frowning a little* And what would you suggest?

- - - Again, conversation with Falere, Reapers etc etc - - -

Not sure if any of that is better or good or...whatever. But eh.

Goddess this is great, Ash you seem to always spark my creative juices, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

I'm still in the process of writing up to this point in my Fanfic, I've a whole sperate document for ideas I'm throwing up and where I want to go, and how to get there.
Since about late Weds. Night I hit a brick wall with my creativity, (It's what I get for working a job, and presueing my hobbies, burns me out), Came here and suddenly seeing your ideas throwing up here gives me that jump start I needed to get back into it.
Ok it's partly due to an adrenilen rush of my 90 minute run. But still Thanks so much, seeing your stuff flying up here and stuff makes me go "There's no reason I'm not working on my stuff and cranking it out, quite being lazy"

Rest assured I've got my own idea on how this event is going to play out, and l've already many times shared something I'm going to do in this part.

EDIT @Kelmar love your user pic, That pic of Samara is one of my favorites.

Glad I could inadvertantly help you, Gears. :)

And Kelmar's image reminds me of something...

There was a post in the old thread that I noticed and thought as funny, after talking about Samara dancing. One of our many images was of her idle animation with Omega dancers in the background and the line "I'm pretty sure I could outdance any of these silly little maidens."

Now the actual post was this:

I think if Samara ever decided to dance so seductively, she'd only have one target in mind, and she'd be even more, um, predetory than her late daughter.

Samara: *Dances sineously and seductively towards her target with a smouldering look*
Shepard: *Suddenly sweating, jittery, and feeling like she's being hunted, tugs at her now too-tight collar* Um....*Backs into the now locked door that refuses her command codes*

Should romance ever occur between Shep and Samara, Samara needs to be the one making Shepard act like a blushing maiden/nervous schoolboy as she teaches the human how it's done right and proper.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

What I found doubly amusing was my reaction of saying I couldn't picture it any other way.

Yet I write the romance a different way...

*cracks fingers* Once Dreaming After Death is done, time to correct this mistake with a post-Dreaming After Death oneshot!

My own interpretations of the forehead doodads is that in ancient times, asari warriors would wear them as a sort of holy symbol so that their goddes would grant them protection and strenght to make it through their battles.

So wait was the pic thing what someone had posted in the old thread or was this what they posted in the old thread?

Just wanted to clarify what was what, The above quote looks to have your style and signature all over in it.

The more I think about it the more this seems like Samara. She seems like the type, lets see how to put this......that's wild, aggressive, and assertive in her passions. She seems like the type to take control and make ya give her what she wants, and how she wants it. Ya won't be able to stop her. I doubt age has done much to tame that side of her, if anything she just gets what she wants easier and far more effective.

If your at risk of heart attack, engaging in sexual activities with Samara may lead to heart failure which in turn can lead to death. If you experience dizziness, blurred vision, cramps or numbness in your hands or feet, trouble breathing, chest or back pains, please stop activities and contact a medical professional.

Sorry about that indulgence in the heart attack thing

If Samara is a good friend of Shepard's, and if she was fighting near the site of the transport beam when the Reapers died, would she remain at the site while she waits for news of Shepard's fate, or would she return to the HQ of the remaining Hammer forces? I know that Samara admires Miranda because she says that Miranda carries her problems privately and deals with them silently, so I don't know if Samara would display such attachment.

Shepard, practically spearheading the entire assault, was just hit by Harbinger's main gun. I'd like to think the entire crew, former and current just went "HOLD THAT THOUGHT" and waited to see if Shepard was alive or not.

But seriously though, I would like to think she stays to find out what happened to her friend.

And Gears, I am so sorry but that isn't my writing. I wish it was. It made me laugh a lot at the time it was posted. And they were both posted in the old thread.

I'd like to think that Samara and everyone of my close pals were all holding their breath, awaiting to see Shepard and find his fate.

Ohh and well were on this subject can I point out that at the end of ME3 when Shep and Co. Charge the beam, and what not that wasn't Major Coats supossed to be right there with ya? I mean he was fallowing Anderson around every where and he was in the same Truck as Anderson, Shep, and the other 2 squad mates.

So did I miss some info someplace that Major Coats was going to just sit on his @ss and watch everyone else storm the beam or something?

Because when Harbinger hits ya with that Laser he comes over the radio and starts blabbing about no one made it, and he's some place doing fine. So did I miss something or did he just loss his Nerve and sit back and be like "Have fan, I'm a coward, I'll sit back and watch ya"?

Sorry about that detour anyway about Samara's comment on Miranda I know she said admires Miranda due to she carries her problems privately and deals with them silently

But to me it seemed that Miranda and Samara would not get along well as people and in fact Samara would despise Miranda as a person. Like Garrus says admiring something is not the same as liking it, and to not admire it is only to discredit the tactic.

For me I always felt that Miranda's self centered holier than thou attitude would really rub Samara the wrong way. I mean almost to the point that Samara despised her, it kinda goes against who Samara is and what she stands for.

Just was wondering what everyone else's stand point in here is on how well Samara would get along with Miranda and her personalty?

*crawls in* 5:20am.

Dreaming After Death: Chapter Six

And it's finally done.

Gears, I'm inclined to agree with you. Personality wise I do not think Miranda and Samara would get along, but like you (and Garrus) said, you don't have to like something/someone to admire them/it.

Now...

*crawls away for sleep*

My vote is on Liara cosplaying as Samara. When I saw that outift was the CE Liara outfit, I was like bugger. Liara is now dressing up as Samara. That chick just never stays the same.

Oh and Bromanov, I think it was you who asked if anyone else would have liked to have Samara's face show up at the end of ME3 if Shep had tried to romance her, and since then Shep never hooked up with anyone else.

My answer is HECK YEAH I would have loved that, Given my Shep was all by alone after ME2 I'd have LOVED seeing Samara's face pop up, At least then ending wouldn't have been a total let down for me, to see Samara's face that would be great.

I'd like to have been able to inport my 2nd Shep and see Jack's face, but ugg I don't think I can manage another playthrough until I can see some sort of light coming down the road in terms of DLC, even that'd have to be really good.

Gears, Jack's face doesn't show up, either. It's only Anderson, Ashley, Kaidan, and Liara. The .mov files for characters who aren't those four don't even exist.

Regarding the forehead doodads, it seems that there are several possible explanations:
*They are just jewelry
*They are symbolic of character traits
*They are worn by asari Huntresses

Also, someone claimed that Samara and Liara were born in the asari republic of Armali, but they didn't have a source for their claim.  This would make the forehead doodads symbols of the Armali Republic.

That'd be interesting if it were true. Bioware, more species cultural differences plz!

Some of my Talinth have facial markings that make them very obvious for racial or religious. For example of a lot of Ru-Sahrists paint white markings on their faces, unlike extremely devout Sahrists (usually just their priests) who paint red markings around their eyes. Anzets tattoo black eye covering markings onto their faces.

So yeah, it'd be interesting if certain Asari wore such symbols because it marks them out as being from a certain republic.

I think I'm too entrenched in thinking of them as Justicar markings though to accept it...
