Haseena meaning a beautiful woman? Just wondering if that was the origin of 7Makaveli chosening the name for Samara's bondmate?
As of now her bondmate is unnamed in ME right?

Because I've been doing some digging around for a name with a cool meaning for Samara's bond mate, I can't help but notice that he took the route I'm takening with Samara's bondmate being much older than Samara was. I was planing on maybe finding a Hebrew word for wise elder for Samara's bondmate (no luck yet).

I've been in the process of writing about Samara's bondmate for sometime now In fact It was one of the first things I started to work on and refine before my first chapter of awakening was even started. I've been adding to it as I continue to write both my fanfics.

Yes, that is the reason I chose the name. It also felt right to make Samara's bondmate much older than her, speaking to her own level of maturity by being attracted to a wise elder Asari. It was, however, tricky to chart out what her situation would be. I had to ask would Samara's partner leave her to handle this on her own, believing that it was Samara's fault and her job to clean it up? Or would she simply be incapable of providing help by the time this situation broke out. I chose to go with the latter as the former came across, at least to me, as suggesting the notion that purebloods are not necesserily as devoted to each other as they would be given the stigma attached to them.

Greetings, fellow Samaritans.

Greetings, fellow Samaritans.

I was going to go with the route of Samara's bondmate being much older than Samara. I've had whole chapter planed out for some time. When it was discovered that their daughters were all Ardat-Yakshi and Mornith was a killer I was going to have Samara's bondmate being well in the last years of her life at that time and the stress that came in the wake of all that is going to take it's toll on her and she passes in the night with Samara sitting by her bedside.

Yeah I'm doing the tearjerker angle again here too. I love writing deap stuff and I've only been encouraged to do more of it, with the feedback I've been getting over on fanfic.net.

I've unlocked the Asari Justicar Adept in MP, she's a total bad@ss and I'm glad to have an Asari with Reeve, those Drell suck on sliver and gold. And Reeve is the greatest power.

Oh and Mak it's good to have more Samaritans here, I was begining to think that ME3 had destroyed many Samaritans spirits. SO from the rather new dude Welcome back.

Chasing Ghosts or Dreaming After Death?

And I'll see what I can do regards the new project. *strokes invisible beard*

I just realized the invisible beard stroking or invisible mustache twiddling would have no impact or sense on Asari. No facial hair.

I've read Dreaming after Death, I enjoyed it very much, gotta read Chasing Ghosts yet.

The beard comment made me wonder, given Asari don't have facial hair, do they have hair in their nether regions?

Thoughts?

Hi Samara fans!

I don't know if you have heard, but the following Me2 romances have begun working on character fanbooks: Thane, Miranda and Jack.
If you as fans of Samara want to make one of your own, then I'll be more than happy to provide a layout for your fanbook.

The Layout is based on the datapad/store interface from Mass Effect 3,

Thane's layout has a green/lime palette, Miranda's is Black/White/Blue, Jack's is Scarlet, Jacob's is Yellow and Samara's is Wine/Gold.
If you think a different colour palette would suit Samara better, then I'll wip something up.
The fanbook pages are composed of the following:
Intro page (A sort of dedication page for the character in question as a character)

Image IPB
Artist/Writer blurb (Every artist/author gets a page to introduce themselves and why they love Samara)

Image IPB
Art page (suitable for fanart, screenshots etc.)

Image IPB

Text page (suitable for fanfic's, letters)

Image IPB
Credits (Self explainatory, credit to everyone who contributed as well as a "Thank you" to Bioware)

Image IPB
There is also the Support page (this page is a list of those who don't do fanart/fanfics but still support the character in question and the purpose of the fanbook) but I have not made a specific page for it yet, but it will probably be a variant of the "Credits" page.

Also the pic used (the screenshot of Samara) can easily be changed, it's just a placeholder as is the text.
Any questions and suggestions about the layout are welcome!
If anyone of you Samara fans decide to start this project just Pm me and I'll send the layout's .psds (photoshop documents) to you.

I'm down and I did PM ya,

To Everyone else

I PMed Emeraldfern
and I got a reply back of more info on this project, I'm waiting for a reply back to see if I can post Emeraldfern's PM to me here.

Anyway We need photoshop and I don't have Photoshop, and I've never even used it SO I'm already unquilifed to head this project.

I'd really like to get this project going and I'd offer my services to anyone and be their co-polit here, and do anything and everything I can to help with this all. SO If someone would be able to be the lead on this or co-lead of it with me I'd love for it to get under way. I'd do much of the PM replying and stuff that is nessacry if ya don't want to.

After the last LI project the PAX book, I was rather crushed at what was on display for us Samara fans, it made me sad when I read the whole book and all the other LI's had so much greater content

I don't know if I could take such a huge blow to my fighting spitit again, I may just be to crushed beyond repair, I could end  up MIA,or AWOL from the forums.

In fact just thinking about such a crushing blow again makes me sad, I'll be back sometime in the next couple days, once I've gotten over my wounded spirit.

Right now these few noble causes are the main reason I've stayed here Post ME3 release. If they hadn't popped up like they did I'd just be the dumb@ss who pops in the Samara thread anoucning to everyone my latest fanfic.

anyway sorry about being a downer, just everytime I come here it's like more of the life here died, it's really painful to see ME going down like this, and more painful to watch helplessly as Samara losses traction, and Miranda, Jack, Thane, Liara. Ashley, Garrus, Kaidan, and Tali all gain traction in the movement for LI DLC.

I'm only one man and not a very skilled one at that, I can only do so much until I've got nothing left to offer but my newest fanfic chapter.

@Emeraldfern That is a very promising initiative. I'm not sure if I would be able to "headline" something like this, I'm sure I could provide some very good content.

So Samaritans, what are some ways we could have "cleaned up" this Monastery mission to make it go beyond that obligatory squadmate-related mission?  I'll throw some ideas out there:

1) Have Samara actually talk to Rila. You know, instead of letting the two sisters nearly strangle each other to death, it would have been nice to have Samara do some "mothering" and resolve the dispute. And, again, having Samara speak with her other daughter who she hasn't seen in half a century and subsequently has to see her sacrifice herself would have been nice :3

2) Ahem, now that I've gotten that out my system...I would have liked to have had a chance to see some expanded lore. Not just of Justicars, but also of Ardat-Yakshi, seeing as how we are in their setting. To use the stellar Wrex-Tuchanka mission as an example, it would have been intriguing to see the equivalent "Mother of all Ardat-Yakshi's (obviously not named that :P). Something like a 1000 year old Ardat-Yakshi found quarantined in the depths of the monastery  that is considered a legendary creature Asari use to scare their children (not necessarily introduced in such a way :P). Samara would say something awesome like "We thought Morinth was a terror, I've heard this one took on multiple Justicars throughout her 600 years reign, all of whom have never been heard from since." And then we'd get to see her get turned into a Banshee and have an epic fight with Shepard and co., which would justify Rila's sacrifice in the end. It would also be symbolic in having the Asari be rid of a horrific source of terror that has been the undercurrent to the lore of purebloods.

Any other ideas? Thoughts? Comments? Bueller?

I don't think that really fits, to be honest. I perceived the horror of the Ardat-Yakshi as existing in these undetected or uncontrolled individuals killing accidentally, or indiscriminately. A legendary Ardat-Yakshi or "boss Ardat-Yakshi" just sound off to me.

I don't think it's that farfetched for there to have been an Ardat-Yakshi who's compulsions grew so strong that it undermined the indiscriminate aspect of their M.O. It's not that this particular "Demon of the Night Winds" would actively wreak havoc wherever she went, but rather this one stands out for just being wickedly strong and having many unsuccessful execution attempts on her. Though I get that it would seem a little forced, to some, it wouldn't be the biggest crime against fiction this game has committed :P

Also, a related thought I had; before the Asari were spacefaring, Ardat-Yakshi would technically be more common, right?

My problem with the Mother of all Ardat-Yakshi's is this why would it not have been killed by the Justicars? If she's that dangers why is she in some prison and not dead?

As for what the what I think could have added to Monastery mission

1.Well of course more of Samara, and some more interactions between Samara and both her daughters Rila and Falere.
2.Maybe learn more about Ardat-Yakshi, Such as if they can be interrogated into a job in Asari Society, like a Commando, a staff member at the Monastery, a social worker of some kind.
3.Ties into 2 but are the staff at the Monastery Ardat-Yakshi?
4.Maybe with both Samara and Falere come across some of the stuff the Reapers use to convert Ardat-Yakshi into Banshees. It would be cool to hear Samara's thoughts on that and how she reacts to Falere's thoughts on it.
5.Go into combat with Samara and Falere get some interesting dialogue between mom and daughter and how Samara feels about Falere helping to fight/kill the Reaper Forces at the Monastery.
6.For LI Samara when she attempts to commit suicide and ya stop her, ya get the Renegade Interrupt to steel a kiss from Samara right there in front of everyone
7.For LI Samara that whole scene has more unique dialogue and is much more longer and indepth

SO Ashira would you be willing to lead the Samara fanbook project? Only other regular here (that I can think of) that we have not heard from is you,

If not well then I may just have to go hunting for someone outside this thread, come hell or high water this is going to be happening, I will make it so, if I have to kidnap someone tie them up and force them to over see this project

OK so here is the PM I got from EmeraldFern, about the Samara fanbook project

"Well to give you an idea, here is how Thane's book is organized:
The group is both here on BSN:
http://social.bioware.com/group/7093/

and here on deviantart:
http://thane-fanbook.deviantart.com/

yamainu1984 is the admin of both groups, and I think that she'd be willing to answer any questions about the fanbook which I can't.

Basically the admin of the group gathers contributions of art, fanfics etc via email from fan-artists/authors willing to participate.

So, basically if the Samara fans wants to make a fanbook I'd suggest creating groups at the websites above, and creating an email-address to accept the contributions.

I'd also suggest reading the journal on the deviantart Thane-Fanbook page, to get an idea about how the book works. This method is also used by the Miranda and Jack fanbooks I think.
I provided them with layouts for their fanbooks as well.

(There is also a layout for a Jacob book, but I've yet to recieve a reply from the Jacob fans)

My role in the fanbook is that of a layout designer and fanart contributor, so I can provide you the layout for the Samara fanbook.

Just a small but important reminder about the layout, it's in .psd format so Photoshop is necessary to make any use of them.

/Emeraldfern"

SO I don't got the skills and know how to run this thing, anyone else here got the skills and know how to?
If not well than we are so screwed six ways from Sunday, and I'll have to start spamming the other threads looking for someone willing to take this project on, and I'd be much more comfortable with a true fan of Samara heading this project,

And why is this Renegade? I think it's very Paragon.

Well ya know I was debaiting this myself internally, before I mentioned it, and The reason came to for it being Redegade, was that because it's rather asertive, and has Shepard moving in and doing something drastic.

There is also a scene in ME2 where you can steal a kiss from Miranda and it was a Renegade interupt.

I think it would go a long ways for us Samara fans, if we could get some kissing going on someplace between Samara and Shepard.

As of now I feel that most everyone thinks that the Samara LI, is a dead end. It's not got any more to it, and it was done and delt with in ME2.

It was not, and I will be making my voice heard and pushing our cause further anyway I can and for as long as I can. But I've said it before I'm only one fan, and us Samara fans voice and size tends to be drowned out in the giant swarm of the other LI fans.

Any way I was coming here to say that I'll be gone for awhile, I need to rethink my stratigy and approche to these movements, and reevalueate if it's all worth it, or if I'm just wasting my time and energy for more pain and suffering coming in ME3 DLC.

So with that I say farewell to you all, I will be back once I've figured out the above, and will come back here with my answers, even if I am back just to say farewell to ya all, it's been a fair ride well it lasted, and such

Yeah, that is the worst part. I really doubt Bioware even care, but our influence forced them to edit ending, but before that we held the line.

Maybe some really good day...
