I knew there had to be a Samara thread here, why so low down?

Anyhoo, for thems interested I did a vid a while back of all of cut scenes/dialogue from the Samara sections of ME2 apart from a couple of less pertinent conversations aboard the Normandy.  So here you go, recruit+loyalty missions:

It's about 48 mins long lol, with a bit of a twist at the end...

Certainly one of my favourite characters of ME.  Poise, grace, eloquence, beauty, intelligent, wise, etc. ;)

Samara's doesn't get as much attention as the other characters mainly because she has no "Romance" scene let alone a complete romance...which is kinda sad : (   She is an excellent character both physically and Emotionally..and like 30 other descriptions as well =D

Also 48 minutes o.O, I'll watch it in a bit for you.
I also made a vid of her loyalty...but instead of it being normal...I modded it so I was Samara doing her Loyalty XD
Samara talking to Morinth about "Travel" was...awkward...

I don't recall being slapped on Illium by the bar owner like in your signature video, does that only happen if you're renegade or something?

Yea, 48 mins.  I probably could/should have cut a lot of the bar scene, and dilly-dallied a little there also.  Should have decided my route 1st but wanted some of the distant Morinth comments, but hey ho.

Anyhoo, on a general Samara point.

I love her interaction with her daughters in the Ardat Yakshi monastery, they obviously love her and she was without doubt a good mother to them when they were young. Circumstances forced them all apart and Samara into the comfort and dictated lifestyle of the Justicar, but they still remember what they had/have.

As two characters that we never met before, I found instant connection to the girls through Samara and those scenes were pretty intense, especially Felere's reactions to the her sister's sacrifice. And the subsequent scene with Samara and Felere was epic. I'm just glad I'm paragon lol. I've seen the Renegade version on YouTube and it's about the most evil thing I've seen in a video game lol.

Fully agree with all of this:D And yeah I'm glad I'm paragon to, Iv'e seen what happens in the renegade options and there is NO WAY that I could do that to her/them. You take out an entire family, its just twisted and cruel. I couldn't do that ever. God I hate thinking about it, its just so awful!:crying:

I've not considered it before, but I was just thinking: was there a father at some point in all this? Or were they just conceived with random partners on her jaunts? She seemed to live the wild life in her younger days.

In the LOTSB DLC you can learn more about Samara and she has or had a holo locket of her bondmate aswell as her children to.

Ah that sounds familiar now you say it.  Is that from her bequeathed estate inventory?

Meant to say/query.

Ardat Yakshi.  Has there been lore set for the cause?  I just wonder as Samara blamed herself for her daughters' condition, and  I also took note of the Asari Huntress counselling session when they touched on her squad mate having a 'condition' so they couldn't be anything more than friends.  This alluded to Ardat Yakshi in the absence of any other information about Asari physiology/biology/diseases.  So do Asari know what genetic scenarios cause 'Ardat Yakshi'?

I don't think there is really any other information than what is told to you by Samara in ME2.
I believe she sais that it only occurs in purebloods like herself, however it is unknown whether or not the other parent needs to be a pureblood or not for the AY gene to actually be inherited.

It's kinda similar to Thane's disease and the Hanar developing a cure. There isn't really any new information on that cure and the only information you have is from Thane in ME2.

Opp I guess I jumped the gun a bit too soon, I got all the Rare Weapons at 10 too.

About Samara's bondmate, and Ardat-Yakshi, In the list of items she gave up when she became a Justicar there was also a sculpture of Samara and her Bondmate. Also I am about 99.9% sure Samara's bondmate was another Asari.

As for Ardat-Yakshi, I believe Samara hints at AY possibly being the reason for so few Asari pairings, and that perhaps is where stigma of it being bad to have children with another Asari, comes from as it Ardat-Yakshi only come from pure blood Asari.

Also I like to think that some Ardat-Yakshi, after a long long time of a good track record that maybe they can have a job outside the Monastery as long as it's a government monitored/regulated job like that Asari Commando.

So I have not had any feedback on the last chapter of Awakening. As a result I've posted all my Fanfics over on DeviantArt.

It's one of those weird me things, ya know I tend to be a perfectionist and in an odd twist I often am more motivated to write more once I get some honest feedback on my good, bad, dumb, and even my dyslexic spelling errors,

Much to my dismay I have not had any one offer any feedback from my last chapter since I posted it. Maybe everyone is busy, but generally I have so much people PMing me over on Fanfic and leaving so much feedback, this time nope nothing since I posted it.

God did I do that bad of a job? I have to go read that chapter again sometime and see if I really screwed things up or what.So for now I am just blocked,

Hell YES!!

EDIT, I think I have bounced back up lack of feedback (for my Fanfics) NO PROBLEM I shall give people something to buzz about, because after an hour or so of brainstorming fueled back Mt Dew, and all I got it I will just go with my gut It's often works out.

Ah recalling all those renegade playthroughs with Samara along for the ride, dying a little more inside with every mission. Jk love Samara, femshep renegade has it coming to her if she survives in the ME3 extended cut though.

I gave up on my full full renegade character in ME3, it was just depressing. I'm glad I never got as far as the Ardat Yakshi monastery. But because just about everyone who could be dead WAS dead before I even started and only Morinth and Miranda survived the Suicide Mission, it made it a lonely empty world... not even Conrad to cheer me up.

EDIT: I must have sort of blocked it out, but I just remembered I DID make it to the monastery.  I'm not proud of what I did.

Well the only constant casualty in my renegade playthroughs is Jacob, try as I might that missile just loves his face and whom am I to deny that collector his parting shot :) My official Shep is a paragon but the renegade Shep especially in ME2 is hard to resist at times, her lines are deliciously ****y although in ME3 her actions are borderline psychotic and she seems dangerously unhinged.

I watched a compilation of ME3 Renegade actions and yea, it goes waaay beyond 'bad-ass'. Lots of words ending in -path

I purposefully made that save with just Morinth / Miranda, thinking that having just psycho Morinth and ****-face Miranda around would be funny, but BW ruined my fun lol.

Opps I totally forgot, yeah I did do the emotional scene in chapter 2 of Awakening, I also did a flash back of a more emotional scene from Samara's past in Chapter 4 of Awakening. My bad I thought you were refering to the big emotional scene I am building up to, which I have only made vague and tiny hints at the details to it as I am not sure how things will come to fruition yet.

Making stupid statements like OOh I haven't gotten to that part quite yet, is really a sign of my adhd and maybe even my dyslexia. I'd been working on some rough out lays and planing some of the future stuff to come, and one of the things was a big emotional scene. DUH forgot about the bittersweet farewell thing, and forgot about the last chapter I finished ending.

Justicar (B)-Just because she believes she can accomplish difficult tasks such as this does not mean she should
Justicar ®-True, but remember, the Collectors are Protheans. So if all else fails this child will do what she does best, and just "toss herself" at them.
