I was watching the "Goodbye" lines the Big Three and the VS have in the EC. I think it would have been nice to have a short conversation there between Samara and Shepard, even if only over comms. Imagine all the blanks you could fill in, between that conversation, and Samara eventually returning to Thessia, if Samara let a little bit of her feelings for Shepard out there.

That would have been great, but at the same time would make me want more and wish there was more as in her being a full LI. I haven't seen the goodbye lines yet or not all of them just because it brings to much pain.

Speaking of LI there is a poll on HTL about if you would be willing to pay for a romance DLC. Not sure if it will happen but they want to know how many people want this before they start putting leg work into it. So go vote people! Show that we want our LI's from ME2 back :)

Well, I'll miss Samara. Without a question my favorite ME character. Pity I got her for only one game, while I was stuck with this unbelievably uninteresting squad in ME3.

I was trying to come up for a concise reason that explains my love of Samara's character, and also why I chose her over Morinth. I came up with:

"I don't think Samara is a very moral person. Instead, I think she's a lawful person. This distinction makes her a profound character, in my opinion. I can't say Morinth is moral or lawful, and this why choosing to help Samara kill her is a very easy decision for me."

Thoughts?

Is she lawful though? The code is part of Asari law, but the code also allows Samara to commit acts that would get any regular citizen thrown in jail and forgotten.

I say yes.  Insofar as she is obeying laws, and as longg as she is afforded privileges as a Justicar, she is lawful.

And in a not strictly literal sense, I say she's lawful because she has a strong understanding of and appreciation for order.

I also think she has a strong understanding of and appreciation for the concepts of right and wrong, but that being the case doesn't necessarily make one moral.

Attention Samara fans!

As a result of the popularity of the Romance DLC thread and polls on BSN and HTL, folks over at HTL have combined all the suggestions and made a new, more in depth survey.

It will only take 5 minutes of your time, unless you like to make comments, and we hope to get even more responses than on the BSN polls.

Results will be analyzed, summarized into a report, and sent to Bioware.

If you want to be heard on this issue, this is the best way to do it!

Please take the survey and spread the word!!

Thx for posting this, I just did it! :) I cant wait to see the results! I showed my suppor for Samara (ofcorse ), Thane, Tali, Jack, every character even though I may not have romanced them, everyone should get the same treatment, after all they are your LI :)

@Premier Bromanov
I would say that Samara is both, she is lawful no dought about that, but I do beleieve she is very moral she just hides it. She does go back for Rila and Falere, and from what we read about her in LOTSB and what we hear from Morinth. I guess I would say she begins to be more moral after being with you in ME2.

Warlock, I meant "moral", as in the state of being moral, as opposed to knowing what qualities constitute being moral (but not acting in such a way so as to fit in to those qualities).

I guess I don't understand the question, it is 3am were I'm at o_O. But you did say she has a understanding of and appreciation for the concepts of right and wrong.
Adjective:
Concerned with the principles of right and wrong behavior and the goodness or badness of human character.
Noun:
A lesson, esp. one concerning what is right or prudent, that can be derived from a story, a piece of information, or an experience.
So I would say to her moral and lawful may be one and the same, once again sorry if I didn't get the question or if I'm not making sense right now, I'm at work and its 3am, need zzzz...

I'm saying she may not be a moral person, but she does have a keen understanding of the concept of morality.

Thats true. I can see her code may conflict with morals. So sometimes she would talk about morals as a pleasent thought instead of acting on them.

I wonder how much Samara the Justicar's morals differ from Samara the Asari's mroals.  They could differ, even if the difference is irrelevant, due to her Justicar morals overriding her own concepts of morality.  Or, maybe they aligned, over time, as Samara become more absorbed in being a Justicar.

We know that Samara had a strong grasp of morality even before she became a Justicar.  When she was a mercenary, she refused to escort a shipment of slaves, because she held that slavery is wrong.  I think I also remember Morinth mentioning that Samara taught her children sternly about right and wrong.

If Samara was there to recommend a Catalyst decision to Shepard, what do you think she would choose?  Overall, I think she would recommend Destroy, but she might also recommend Control.

Lastly, here's the ending flashback of Samara, in black-and-white gif form.  She looks so elegant, regal and dignified.

Agreed. I think after meeting Shepard she starts to struggle with her morals and that of a Justicar, Shepard started to bring out the person in her again. And for the end I feel that Samara would choose destroy or refuse (if they gave us and option to win in refuse). I think that should would say something similer to what she said about TIM and the collector base. I think she would say that no one has the wisdom to weild such power, and that power like that shouldn't even be around.

Also love the gif!Image IPB  I just really hope they add her as a full LI. Then this scene would be much much more meaning full.

Alright so I just want to get a head count of sorts. Who would be willing to contribute to the Samara Book? It could be pics, fan art, donations, letters or a bit of all of it. I'm willing to do a bit of everything, I just need to see how many people here want to contribute to it. If you are interested just post here or send me a PM or you can send me a message on HTL with want you would want to do :)

So how do you think Samara would acted towards Javik? I dont think they would really get along, seeing as how Javik and his race took over everyone and killed those who didn't join them. If they add Samara as a squadmate (and god willing a LI) again, I think it would be interesting to see how they react towards eachother. May have to break up a fight between them like Jack an Miranda in ME2.

Haven't seen any other Samaratans around.  Maybe the EC completely broke their hopes for more Samara material.

I don't know enough about Javik to say how he and Samara would get along.  I don't even have or want his DLC.

What?  That's the only way to get it?  Really?  Even after it was admitted that they didn't have the resources to flesh out the "almost-romance" in ME3, and that the trigger is broken that activates Samara's acknowledgement of Shepard attempting the "almost-romance"?

The trigger is broken? If you attempted a romance with her in ME2 you got a one line difference when you talk to her on the Citidel. Or are you talking about something else?

The Samara flashback.  The only way to get it is for her to be dead.  I'm complaining about this, and listing the other ways Samaratans got shafted in ME3.

The flashback should also appear for people who attempted the "almost-romance", no matter if Samara is alive or dead.  They could at least give us that.

Wow are you f*cking kidding me?! Well then I guess I wont ever see that, because there is no way I could let Samara kill her self. I agree, they should have given us that no matter if she eis alive or dead.
