Well, in my opinion that was done just to keep EA/Bioware as a company that listens to their fans in eyes of the public. Maybe they will do something about thane and jack but this is really pointless IMO. Why should I care about Thane or any other if Shepard dies anyway? Why should I care about Leviathan if all that information won't change the outcome except I'll get few more READINESS POINTS. Quite frankly, the ending makes small room for dlc because average player doesn't care about what will happen in the game if in the end it doesn't matter.warlock22 wrote...

If refusing to buy the DLC does anything, it is reducing the chance for future DLC, and with it, the chance for a DLC concerning Samara. I'm looking forward to Leviathan. The EC satisfied me too, because I cared more about the galaxy than Shepard. And that slide with Samara and Falere implied enough for me.
Samara is one of my favorite characters, and I hope for a DLC regarding her, the justicars in general and her daughter's condition -- as they're all related somehow. As for no-imports, they can remind themselves how they handled Mordin's absense. I am, however, not at all interested in romance-only DLC, but romance as a part of it, like LotSB did with Liara, would be great.
It's just my opinion though.

Edit: ^Let me put it this way, how would Samara romance content, saving Thane or getting Jack as a squadmate change the ending? Why should the end matter, wasn't it fun playing through the game? Curing the genophage, settling the geth/quarian issue, etc..? What's wrong with learning more about the Reapers, and similar?

i completly agree with everything you have said...the experience in a whole is awesome and here and there you can make improvements...but you can do that without it ever ending...
as for the characters...zaeed samara and katsumi got nothing from me 3...i thought jack got enough...and thane got an awesome ending...the way that man went down was simply hardcore but also sad...and that was sufficient for me
and its correct to say if a samara dlc comes than let it be a LI BUT also more content about history, culture, background and so forth

I deleted my account around the time I heard about the endings through the leak. I suspected that the game would be a disaster. Turns out I was right.

No, I don't think the game is fun. I think the game is thoroughly awful.
The problem with learning about the Reapers is that they are being developed in the context of the sudden introduction of the Catalyst and everything it entails.
I'm not going to buy their DLC on the off-chance that my money may fund Samara DLC (which it won't, given how minor her role is in the game). If they don't, they still have my money. Bioware doesn't deserve any more of my money.
We are very off-topic. If you'd like to talk more about the endings, we can take it to messages. I wouldn't be telling you anything that many other people have said before, however.

Why was it prue crap... hmm lets see, three major things. It didn't fix the major plot holes, lacks character and story consistency and choices dont matter. So starting with plot holes, why does the starchild look like the kid from your dreams, how would an AI now what you are dreaming?? How did Shepard survive in destroy? Why is there concrete on the Citidel? How did the IM control Shepard and Anderson? I've heard people talk about it was because of these nanite machines, if thats the case why didn't the IM just make Shepard kill him self or why didn't the reapers just make every organic kill them selfs? Sence it effected every organic. Choices dont mater, not matter what you do the Rachni Queen is still there, the IM gets the human reaper no matter what you do, making peace between the Geth and the Quarians doesn't change the starchild highly flawed logic and so on.gamaggedon wrote...

why is the EC DLC pure crap ??? the ending without it isnt bad its just unclear about things...the DLC makes things clearer...in that respect its pretty good...if you dont like the entire message of the ending regardless of the EC DLC or not thats your opinion and thats cool.
but i find it unfair that the ME fans still **** about things they didnt like...its very good that BW listens to the fans...but at what point do they become a puppet of the users...at one point or another they decided the ending will be lik this and WE have to live with it.
granted other producer do not give a damn about the fans which is also wrong...but finding the golden middle is very difficult...and i see it coming that bw will need to say NO at one point or another...and everyone will be totally pissed off...we cannot expect them to do what ever we want. and saying ME franchise got totally crap because of the ending in my eyes is unfair.
it just looks to me taht the ME fans are totally spoiled by the fact that BW listens to what they have to say and think...once you go down that path the fans believe they can ask for ANYTHING...
Lack of story consistency, what has Shepard always been able to do? Beat the enemy despite the odds on his/her terms, walk out a hero and reunite with LI and crew. This is what alot of people wanted, we wanted a happy ending, we wanted an ending that fit with the theme of ME, and BioWare did NOT listen. So sorry, I was not so easly suede by the EC because I know BioWare can do better, they have in the past. And before you say anything about "well your supposed to imagine Shepard reuntie with LI and crew" I didn't sink hundreds of dollers into a trilogy to speculate at the end, I'm not paying BioWare to imagine a happy ending.
Anyway, back to Samara, I'm going to get intouch with Emerald soon so we can start on the Book, I will let you all know whats going to happen.

Nice to see this thread still going. Sorry about Samara........she's barely in ME3. Hopefully that changes since I wanted her as my LI and squad *ahem* better than Liara
just my opinion no flame war intended

i just hope we will see more of the mass effect universe in books, games and movies (which is in the making as far as i know) and im already scared that it floppes...and if it doesnt im even more scared to see how they will develope samara in ME 2 movie and how detailed that character is going to be...i dont know if a movie is the right thing for this game...since everyone has different characters and likes differec squad mates...if samara is crap in the movie then i will be disapointed. i was already disapointed she got so little screen time in ME 3...but as a whole the game was good...in ME terms the worst of the 3 but still a good game...i will buy the DLCs since im interested in more info on the universe...and im still hoping samara gets more

Have two things to bring up.
1. I have gotten intouch with Emerald about the book and we will be starting it sometime after friday. And I need to now if anyone has any questions about the book, or stuff they would like to see in the book.
2. This isn't about the book just a thought. If you failed Samara LM in ME2 but she servived the suicide mission, what happens in ME3? Do you still see her at the Monastery? Doesn she say the same things or is her attitude towards you different? And does she mention Morinth? (or Mirala being her real name.)

yeah her atitude is different. when you talk to her on the citadel after the mission and you were renegade in me 2 and tried to hit on her...she talks a bit different to you and does not hold your hands. i think she also sais some things different during the monistary mission too

One guy from Russian Bioware forums tried doing it once out of curiosity. IIRC, he said that he didn't notice any difference between loyal and unloyal Samara in ME3. Which is not nesessarily a bad thing, I might add. This isn't about the book just a thought. If you failed Samara LM in ME2 but she servived the suicide mission, what happens in ME3? Don't know why you'd even get the Monastery mission in ME3 if she was unloyal in ME2. She'd be a much more distracted person, and probably not as close to Shepard.
But, wait. I thought Morinth manages to kill Samara, if the player doesn't do Samara's loyalty mission.

No, Morinth runs off, and Samara is in a much worse state because of it, but she still goes back on the ship with you. For some reason I cant find the video on youtube.Premier Bromanov wrote...
