I'm kinda hoping that with melee combat becoming so important in ME3, the squaddies' armor will reflect this to some degree. Here's to some convincing (yet still sexy) armor for our favorite Justicar! ;)

EDIT for top of page Samara!

Something with a retro, ME1 look, perhaps?   Posted Image

Bump for the love!

I'm hoping Samara will be your possible temp squaddie on Thessia.

Dunno why a thread about possibly romancing Samara in ME3 couldn't have just been reduced to a couple of posts in this thread. Whatever.

I want some kind of romance continuation with her so badly. I love Liara n' all, but Samara is perfection.

Bumping for support....^_^...I like Samara, an interesting character....I would like to have her back on my team in ME3...I am still hoping we get to in fact choose our own permanent squads out of the squad pool in ME3....Samara's on my list if thats the case.

Leaving a single slot open for a single ME2 squaddie might work, in terms of limiting the number of dialogue permutations (i.e., actors have to record dialogue to interact only with Shepard and the ME3 squaddies). It doesn't look like that is the path they've chosen so far, judging from the demos released to date.

For instance, Mordin obviously plays a part as a NPC in the "rescue the krogan female" demo. It is likely that Samara will be used in a similar capacity on Thessia (seeing as she enjoys even less popularity than the good professor).

Still, having her back as a single-mission squaddie (à la LotSB) is still possible and well worth hoping for... she's a fighter by character and a superb one at that; she's not a diplomat or a scientist, so she doesn't have an obvious cameo use. We'll find out soon enough.

Looks good. Still needs more armor. Hopefully Bioware gives her a new outfit for ME3.

That silver armor is the closest we'll probably come to that plate-armor concept art that was posted in the thread in the ME2 forum.

Sadly, I do think a lot of people dislike Samara for one thing and one alone. The fact that she said "No..", to anything serious in ME2 and got herself out of the Sheptrain. You could see the point where Shepard heart brakes.. (again).
I do hope she'll return in ME3, both herself and Liara..are alluring in different ways, I guess that's another reason too. "We've got Liara.". I myself have stayed true to Liara, through my main playthrough which I'll carry over into ME3. Still, Samara is a brilliant character, I don't understand why she's not got as much love as other characters.
*Supports Sammy*.

& the mod rocks!

Uhm, could someone tell me how to attach a support Samara onto a profile? *hangs head in shame*
The silver armor looks exquisite on her, is there any more images of different colors on her?
Yes, Samara is by far, better company than Liara. She is one of the few Asari that I actually can understand the appeal of the species. (Maybe it's because she's got the largest, most incandescent eyes of all Asari)
Much of the complaints I see about her is how she's a hypocrite in her Justicar Code. I think she's unfairly understood in that respect.

@ PrimalEden

You can Copy/Paste just about any image already on the internet into your signature, including support banners. Just keep in mind that the height of your signature window is limited to around 4 lines of text, explaining why banners are typically wide and not very tall. The ME2 list of character support threads has several nice banners on page 1.

Regarding the armor mods: it's amazing how a few minor modifications can give the impression of actual armor. The actual changes are minor, yet give a convincing feel of something like ME1-era "light armor". I like them all very much.

Ah, Samara. Fascinating and yet so very frustrating, both in how keeping you alive requires me to kill another fascinating character, and... well, it's not necessarily frustrating that you're not a romance option, because Liara, but I'd love to see that story.

Don't care what anyone says. I believe that despite her turning down Shepard because she isn't able to handle having that kind of a relationship with anyone, deep down she loves, or at least cares very much for Shepard (if paragon, at least).

It's not deep down at all. It seems fairly clear that she really does like Shepard that way, she just doesn't feel she can pursue a relationship.

Why just a temporal squadmate? I want her wisdom, gun and biotics along all the time! But, I realise BioWare may have to prioritise more popular characters as squadmates, too bad for us Samara fans but understandable.

Doesn't want to pursue a relationship.

There's nothing stopping her except, well, herself. She's rather to the point about how the Justicar Code doesn't prohibit her. She has no other obligations that block her.

I think you both mean about the same thing, Xil & Dean. The decision not to pursue a romantic relationship is entirely her own; the Code doesn't forbid it.What the Oath of Solitude precludes is a relationship aimed at the creation of a family (i.e. offspring).

It's quite possible that Samara refused Shep because she felt a relationship with such a young individual would deprive Shepard from the opportunity of ever enjoying what was denied to her: parenthood.

One of the possible motivations, (or perhaps I should say one of the things that made taking up the Oath of Solitude easier), was the fact that the happiness of a normal motherhood was forever denied to her. Even her surviving daughters were not allowed to have contact with her beyond audi/video communication, and that's hardly a bond for either daughters or mother to share. So what if the Oath of Solitude prevented her from having a family? Fate had already denied that to her...
