i just saved ME 2 where i laned on illium to recruit samara, cant wait. i am renegade though. will play it through again as paragon. need to see die dialogues for my script

I think most of it deals with her not being a radical/controversial//rebellious character. Too bad, she is one of my two faves from ME2 (Zaeed, oddly enough, being the other).

I think if I had to pick 6 squadmates to make an ultimate ME game, I'd have Garrus, Samara, Zaeed, Wrex, Liara, and Tali.

Samara isn't controversial? The Code and her adherence to it has earned her some vociferous opponents at the best, and some wary friends at the least.

@Ice Cold J: Dude Samara and Zaeed are my fav. characters too. And both they get almost no screentime in ME 3!!!!! Zaeed is a badass but you can see he kind of cracks at one point,which makes him interesting. Samara is a very deep and controversal characters but you actually have to listen closely and watch her face reflections. Most people dont want to and since often a young crowed plays the game they only see boobs and nothing else. But because of her looks people overlook her actual problem which for me is very clever, you see who actually pays attention.

i hated how james vega gets so much attention calling him a "badass solder"...no he is not...zaeed is and at the same time is much more interesting if you listen to what he has to say.

but there you go. as long as characters are easy to understand they are more favorable because no effort has to be made to understand them. Samara and Zaeed are my fav. characters...NEED DLC for ME 3 !!!! (bought leviathan yesterday, will play it the coming days)

She's not a "bad girl," so she gets no press.

As far as Tali and Liara go, they already filled the nice and sweet niches since ME1, so she can't be lumped in there.

Samara is a woman. Not a girl in a woman's body like Liara or Miranda or a kd coming of age like Jack and Tali. So she gets no press among most gamers.

And Gamageddeon, too awesome!!! I find it hilarious that my two favorite squadmates are seemingly exact polar opposites in piety and ruthlessness, but there it is.

And I liked ME3... I just wish they'd had a chance to properly develop the couple new characters they had while still giving proper screen time to the returning members. I mean, Zaeed takes out two mercs, threatens a Volus, and that's pretty much it for him? Samara had what seemed like the briefest side mission and she's supposed to be good from there in?

DLC fixing these issues would be great, but I sadly don't see it happening.

And, at the risk of giving Zaeed the temp spotlight in Samara's thread, if EA DOESN'T give us said DLC, I say, "Let's gut the bastards."

its just that bioware created so many characters that now they did not have time to develope them all propably. from certain sources i found out that there were so many plans to add these characters but due to time issues those had to be scrapped. why not add like a "squad DLC" which adds those characters as squadmates and gives us more story. i would buy this wihtout quesstion (SAMARA LI or even Katsumi LI) how about that ? or femshep zaeed LI but only if femshep is renegade like samara for paragon. how insane awesome would that be ?

It would be INSANELY awesome.

But I don't ahve a clue how they could do that... esp as DLC.

EDIT: I wish they gave you an option to pick your squadmates. In other words, you can have 6-8 squadmates. You can choose from any of the 14-15 previous squadmates (with the POSSIBLE exclusions of Wrex, Mordin, Legion, and Thane, since all their stories are written rather exclusively or with their deaths).

I mean, THAT would be my dream come true. Plus, all of the variables depending on your gameplay? That would be the perfect way to tailor ME3 to anyone... the kind of customization and uniqueness we were all looking for from the start.

Hey guys, so there was a romance DLC survey that was done a little while
ago and we finally posted the results of it. It was basically asking
what you liked about the romances, what you didn't, what you missed,
what you wish you would have seen, etc. There was no negativity behind
this, I can't stress that enough. There was no malice. This is not a
demand. That is not what we're trying to do. We're just basically asking
BioWare to please consider our LIs in future DLC. No, we're not trying
to turn ME into a dating SIM. That's not the idea either. Of course we
would love to have character-centric DLC but I dont see that as likely
or profitable, so we'll just see if anything comes from this. Also,
we're looking for someone who might have video know-how and the time to
treat a video of snippets of the romance scenes with Shepard and each LI
and string them together so we can put it up once we hit 20,000 as a
celebration. So if you think you might have the time or be willing to
help, it would be greatly appreciated. But if not, please take the time
to check out this survey.

Your in the Samara group right? I posted there about this a few weeks ago when I was in the group. Been talking about it for awhile before I left. Anyway, I've started a #ForSamaraLove initiative on HTL, FB and here. Its going to be a book much like The Thane Book and Then Garrus Book.  More info in the group.

I remember now that I predicted back circa ME2 that Samara ought to be presented with a Paladin-breaker scenario in ME3. My prediction came true. Dunno if I was the cause of that. I wouldn't claim to be the cause of it, because I got the idea of a Paladin-breaker scenario in the first case from other sources.
