I just got my email today at 10pm EST 1.5 hours ago.
Fun I have never even been on the Neverwinter Nights forums so not sure what my user info is doing over there

My password to my EA account just stopped working an hour ago. I quickly changed it but I have had a NwN account either.

I also got the email tonight and it contained a clickable link, which I did not click on. And as far as I can recall, I also never registered with a NWN forum.

Funny thing is that I accidentally deleted Mr. Flynn's email thinking it was spam. lol Today my account was locked and then I found out that his email was legit so that got me rummaging through my deleted emails, thank the gods that I didn't permanently delete it! hahaha

But neither did I sign up on those forums.

Big plus points for bioware locking the accounts before those hackers could actually do something with them! :)

Got the same email everyone else had, only the link in it had expired. Requested a new one, but nothing showed up in email. Anyone else having the same problem? I'm wondering if the servers are simply overloaded.

Thanks for any help!

Okay, I am worried now. I received this email an hour and a half ago, my password doesn't work, and I've re-requested a password change 4 times, and no new email (spam folder empty).

I guess this would explain why my login details suddenly stopped working within Dragon Age. I'm still logged into social.bioware.com in my browser, so I guess the credentials stored within cookies haven't been reset.

Problem is... I haven't actually received any emails from Bioware or EA. I went through the Recover Password procedure from another browser, twice even, but 20 minutes later those emails haven't arrived either. I guess while I'm waiting for all these emails, I can kill some time changing any passwords that are similar enough to the one I used here... oh joy.

I am a tad worried here - can't change my password. And I have multiple cd-keys for each game there.
WTF is going on?

So wait, our EA accounts were affected because our old bioware accounts were retrieved?

I am little confused.

Are we one of the 18,000 if we got an e-mail about an hour ago?

Some people mentioned they got e-mail to reset their password while I got an email with "we have disabled your legacy Account." with no mention of reset

When in doubt... pull the plug on everything! That's likely what's happened. My account's been locked out as a result of these security procedures since my password got rebooted both on EA and here. Unfortunately, I can't seem to make up my mind regarding this email from one Aaryn Flynn from GM Bioware E. I mean, it could be legit, but we've no way of telling, have we? I tried to change my pass manually but I haven't received EA's email so far.

I got both. :P

Checked the email that my legacy account was tied to. I'm assuming the old Bioboards were interlinked w/ NWN, as I signed up on those in the KotOR1 days for discussion. It had an email from today (but not from a week or so ago) stating that it those forums had been breached, blah blah.

The one I got in the email tied to my EA account had the password reset. Problem is, as we can clearly see, they were not linked. Two separate emails, two separate accounts. I'm kind of confused as to what's going on, and why my EA account was even an issue. I don't recall ever having linked them together in any fashion.

Likewise, still waiting for my email for the same issue as Revan. I'm still logged into these boards but my games are logged out and my old password no longer works.

I'm guessing more sh*t went down today than we are currently being told about. Looks like the security breach may have been more extensive than just the legacy servers, might even still be ongoing. Or maybe they are just being overly-protective (which is a good thing), resetting/disabling accounts to limit the damage until they get the situation fully under control.

I'm sure they'll sort things out eventually, but it is frustrating not knowing what's going on and being unable to change our passwords and access our games/profiles in the meantime.

I'm pretty sure that if they took any info away from my account, it was nothing they couldn't get looking at my Facebook page.

Like many of you my account no longer works I'm still waiting for my password to be sent via email also.

Looks like the link in the email from Flynn was legitimate though (I clicked on it to make sure it took me to the same place as the password reset from the actual site)

Well I am referring to e-mail that was sent out 8 days ago,  which was suppose to flag the 18,000 compromised account.  The new e-mail doesn't indiciate if we are in that category....or that the number have expanded from 18,000.  I hope they will clarify on that so that we may know if we have to be concern with our CD keys have been compromised not

My guess the difference in e-mail has to do with where you imported your social.bioware.com. I had EA and Legacy account and if I recall I ended up importing from EA.  I never did quite figure out how to bridge the two, and I guess it was a good thing that I never did.

I didn't import from anything. I had no EA account before the Social site, and did not import from the Bioboards so far as I recall, as I'd stopped using them ages before this went live. Nothing is the same between them.

All in all, it's pretty much irrelevant. Pass is changed to my EA account, legacy account never had anything sensitive on it, anyway. Maybe my birthday, but that's about it.

As to those waiting on password reset emails: I finally just got the two I requested before I gave up and clicked the link in the initial email, so maybe you will get yours soon. Haha.

Udina: "THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!"

Still waiting on my password reset link. Thanks Bioware for your timely reaction.
We really need to find a way to crack down on these hackers. Wish we could torture their families and then make them watch it all. I mean that's what they do in China at least.

Got the email just now. I found this thread when I wanted to check if it's another phishing scam. Thanks for the heads up. I only clicked the link in the email after I tried to log in here and I couldn't. The link worked so here I am :)

Until now I could do nothing but silently watch this last page as I was having the unresponsive "forgot password" issue.

I just now got the email and it also felt inclined to say "EADM is going to be Origin". Not like I care.
I merged my legacy account into EA's new system (yes this is legacy) and I would have lost everything Battlefield, Neverwinter 1&2, Darkspore, DA:O, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge.
It makes me feel real good that I was playing Dragon Age just about two days ago and completely oblivious to this hacking which is nearing ten days in age. I got the email about 2 hours before this post.

crap, now i need to learn and remember a new passsword. on the good side it made me change my outdated email account on this site.

And when i came here i thought it was a IE9 issue.
