ME1 got some flack from the idiotic news networks that needed something to biotch about that week for having "sex scenes" even tho it really didnt show anything. ME2 instead had "fully clothed cuddle scenes" which was kinda dumb. Then The Witcher 2 came out and beat the crap outta the taboo and I haven't heard anything negative anywhere for having full nudity sex scenes (no wang tho). So, Bioware... I love ya but you need to grow a pair and give us something quite different from ME2, rather have what you did in ME1 then the horriblness in the bedroom of ME2, somewhere between ME1 and The Witcher.

Comparing the Witcher 2 to anything produced by BioWare (even the DA2 CE) is like comparing KOTOR and TSL thier not even in the same standard of quality.

Just becuase one did, dosent mean the other does. The reason they havent said anything about the Witcher2 devs is because of the embarrassing fiasco of ME1.

I prefer the ME2 romances, Thyre all touching in some way on a level ME1 didnt even come close to, except for Jacob's can't understand what happened there.

Nudity is not required for a good romance, I whole heartedly approve of the use of nudit in a mature way, not just for the sake of having nudity.

It was so cringeworthy and awful in the Witcher, it honestly baffles me why anyone wants scenes like that. For all their ~mature content~ those scenes seemed a lot more juvenile than anything to me.

I'd rather have more dialogue before and after a fade to black than a graphic sex scene. It doesn't bother me but I don't see the point in having a long and/or detailed sex scene that contains no emotions. I think it's more valuble to the story and the characters to have dialogue emphasising the importance of killing the Reapers than sex. If I wanted to watch porn I would, I want to play a game so I am. I don't have a problem with it being in the game but I'd rather BioWare focus on something else.

On a more serious note, it was nice that the Witcher wasn't afraid to show mature content in their games, but what was more important was that they were able to portray a mature setting, the sex scenes were apart of that I guess, but it's pretty unimportant overall.

Then again, I feel the whole companion romance/sex concept in RPGs a minor one and can't understand why people put so much stock into them.

Oh well.

Or, you could watch porn. I bought Mass Effect because it was an RPG shooter. Shepard being able to romance some characters is a side bonus in the RPG aspect.

The only point where I was furious about lack of partial nudity was Garrus'es scene. I was so interested to find out what turian chest looks like. But I think it's more a question of my obsession with biology than lust.
