I am stuck on the battle with the arch demon on the console version. i will give you a run down of my party .

Ive been playing on normal but after a couple of defeats at this bit I knocked it sown to casual. Managed to get the dragon down to half health then the general that i missed earlier turns up and anialtes my party. I Have a couple of earlier saves but they are all in fort drakon. Does anyone know if i can make my way out and go kill the general that i missed? or does anyone have any tips i could use i dnt really want to go back to my save that is only 10 hours into the game.

Use of the groups you've recruited for taking care of adds.

I would advise you to use morrigan instead of liliana

Not sure i can change my party now though so i think im either gonna have to go back to my 10 hour game save and do the next 25 hours again (really gonna ****** me off that is. I love this game but i dnt wanna go through all that again with same character) or start again with a new one.

Ok so i found a save that is a couple hours back when im ecaping fort drakon so gonna do that again from there. If when i start the final battle and kill both generals does that mean in the battle with the arch demon it will just be me and my party against it? also any tips on who i should have in my party

There will also be some batches of regular darkspawn. The more mages you have the easier the fights become if you use them well. Try to control the enemies with them instead of just firing of nukes.

Pad, there will still be some adds. They should be much less of a problem though. Just little darkspawn with an occasional mage.

Mages do better against the dragon than archers, because magic is so much better at getting past the heavy armor of the dragon. If you can, conserve your Circle Mage allies until the Dragon. They do wonders.

I'd even go so far as to say bring Wynne AND Morrigan, but that will leave the group defending the gate rather weak. They can probably handle it better than you can at the dragon though.

Thanks for the tips slight problem being i didnt recruit the mages i got templers but not by choice. the final battle at the circle of magi i was pro mage all the way but when the fight ended all the mages but wynne were dead

Are you using the siege engines? You can run one of your characters to a ballista (there are several on the roof) and launch fiery missiles of death at the dragon. I missed that my first time, made it cake the second time.

I used them a couple times but didnt do much.just got home from work gonna have tea and shower and then start from my save 2 hours earlier.

Ok just completed it . was much easier with wynne and morrigan even magaged it on normal although they both died when the archdemon had 1/4 health left. Thanks for the tips what a great game

Need some high spells to go through the last battles

I still had 40 something elves for that last battle. I made sure to save them for that because ranged is always better for a big dragon. They also did a nice job on the adds since most of them were very weak. My group took on the tougher adds. Can't imagine having to deal with one of the generals during that fight though. Not fun.
