If you romanced Leliana but yet killed her, what do she mention?
What would she say, that she had a romance or she explains her death?

Leliana has dialogue where she romanced The Warden, saying (s)he's dear to her heart, but it's the codex that references "her death;" there's dialogue if she remained in Lothering, and she explains that it wasn't her time since she's recognized as a Lothering resident, but there's no explanation for how she came back from The Warden killing her.

I would never kill her. The one time I went to defile the ashes I did kill Wynne but did a quick reload. But I left Leliana in camp for that. It's like killing Merrill. NO! I am forced to kill Merrill in the fade but that is more about teaching her a lesson about demons...

David Gaider has said that there is a canon explanation for her return if u "killed" her in DAO, but he won't be revealing it yet.

Technically you didn't confirm she was dead. The Warden didn't kneel down and say "Welp, she's dead."

She's a rogue after all, and rogues do know Feign Death. Though that would be a cheap way to explain her survival because what if you didn't teach her that? Are we to assume that she retained some of her bardic ways? Still, it's a talent that fakes death as the name implies.

You could've just left her for dead, and she saw in another vision that the Ashes were her only hope because the Maker had plans for her.

now, I understand the codex updates itself with information regarding the battle, but I choose to see that as the Warden's own personal journal. He may not write "Dear Diary, today I killed Leliana. Or I think I did. I didn't check. The end." but that's how I see it.

Andraste never died and came back to life. Unless you believe the mountain dudes.

True. But if anyone thinks that explanation is going to be a big shocker, the least bit important to the story, or even make sense... remember the explanation we got for Anders' death at Vigil's Keep. Mages all look alike, and he ran away from the Grey Wardens after framing another mages for his corpse even though he actually runs away later after they made him give away Ser Pounce-a-lot who he might not have even been given. Also, all that happens if you let Rylock have him; he just escapes find another Warden and that Warden does the same stuff as yours would have. Not convoluted at all.

This. All hail Old God Dumat-Andraste-Flemeth, the creator and condemner of blood magic. :)

Yep. There's no indication of a resurrection in Chantry doctrine. I think it's another case of people assuming because X is true in Christianity, it's true in Andrastism since it's obviously loosely based on it. Made the mistake myself once or twice I'm embarrassed to admit.

If the DAO Warden died, they're looking for the Orlesian Warden-Commander from DAA. I don't know why they're surprised he's disappeared. He's French and there's a war going on.

... Sorry. I had to say it. :(

She's a member of the Chantry.  Having a brain is not only optional, it's frowned upon.

My Surana Warden didn't kill Leliana, but given her attitude towards mages and mage autonomy in Kirkwall, I'm more than willing to rectify that mistake.

Your Warden could defile the Ashes before getting Wynne at the Circle Tower, and then persuade a hardened Leliana or lie to Leliana who was left at camp about the Urn of Sacred Ashes.

Interestingly, it doesn't even seem that the Urn is found "in the canon of DA2" if Brother Genitivi was killed or told to go back to Denerim but never spoken to again despite the DA:O Epilogue slides. I guess this was changed, too.

You forgot about the "not recruited" Anders meeting the "killed at the Dragonbone Wastes" Justice.

1) Hey I never said that! Image IPB

2) I don't consider fancy kill animations lore. Because then I'd have to consider goop explosions lore.
