I checked out the details for both and I'm not sure what the difference is. I'm talkin about the PC versions, by the way.

Has anyone heard or read something I missed?

Collector's Edition is physical copy and Digital is..well, digital copy of the game. So it is the same, except for the physical stuff (e.g. litograph etc.) that obviously won't be yours if you buy the digital version of the game.

I know, right? It's also silly to get a litograph "jpg", because then... Well... It's not a litograph.

Oh well. :( Because of this, I'm trying to find out which retailers will stock the collector's edition in Belgium.
Second reason is that I don't feel like buying something on Origin, yet.

You wont be getting it on Steam. ME3 is going to be Origin exclusive. SO either EA's download service, or buy the physical copy from an actual store.

Bogsnot is correct. Which is why I'll most likely be getting a retail copy, myself. (That, and the litograph.)

Is ME3 origin exclsuive or just the digital deluxe version?  I thought the steam thing was still up in the air.

The Digital Deluxe version is most likely an Origin Exclusive. (As stated on the Origin website.) Steam will -probably- get a regular version of ME3, but like you said: that's still up in the air.

Just get the physical copy. There's too many variables at this point to make the digital deluxe version worth the headache.

Collector edition will be Origin only.

Steam will still receive the regular version (just like Direct2Drive, etc)

That sux because I don't even care about the physical stuff like the lito-whatever... I'm not a collector of game art and stuff. I just want the in-game stuff but if it's the same price I might as well go retail and gives the extras to someone that gives a crap.

Come to think of it, that's probably their plan in the first place... I really hate EA. If it wasn't for BioWare they would make nothing from me.

I feel the same way about activision, EA...eh not so much, Definately have gotten better in the last handful of years, so my dislike of EA (AND microsoft oddly) has waned greatly.

I hope you can activate your Collector's Edition key on Origin as Digital Deluxe Edition.

Probably get a physical copy myself even if i don't get the collectors edition. Don't really like the only have the ability to download it for a year on that origin.

The lack of the Deluxe Edition on Steam is why I bought a physical copy of the Collector's Edition.

I already have Steam, I don't want to be installing Steam/Origin like systems made by every publisher out there.

Really? When you buy something on Origin you only have access to it for one year?

Any word on whether or not physical copies are going to require internet connection or periodic checks in order to keep playing? I bet we'll still have to sign up to Origin to download and play DLC.

I've heard the "only have access to it for one year" thing before and it's apparently just EA's way of covering themselves if they stop supporting a game so people don't swamp them demanding refunds if a game they bought dies out. In other words, you have access to the game for as long as it's alive and well.

I'm going with physical collectors edition for PC, and then will grab a steam version if it comes on a sale later in the year.

Things I've heard, and read, say that after one year you have to re-purchase the game if you want to continue to play it. then there is the data mining and giving information to third party stuff that is listed in the download manager EULA. Physical copy for me thanks. No Origin download manager going on my PC.

man... i love Steam so much, with it's services, etc... But i dont see ME3 pre purchase anymore in it after Origin comes... =/ Also i heard about some kind of bonuses for EA games ONLY on Origin... I wish they will do Origin more convenient as Steam, like using same(identical) nicknames, window visual options, comunity groups, screenshot's, other options like using my avatar etc etc...
