The "Luke, I am your father" plot twist: what do you think it will be?

From there it gives Shep the choice of saving Earth and allow the other species to die or try in vein to save the galaxy despite the simple obvious truth that everyone will die and there is nothing he/she can do to stop it.
Then Shep leaves and warns the Prothean that they had better not meat again, to which the Protean responds: We won't!

That could work on so many different levels. Intensity and a sense of wanting to really protect the LI. The LI arguing that if she couldn't fight by your side for the life of said child then what are we really fighting for? That would be epic and sweet but also have one hell of an emotional impact.Wintermist wrote...
Perhaps the "twist" is that you love interest is pregnant..

Why can't there be a "Matrix Reloaded" plot twist where Shepard enters a room to find a Prothean "architect" who explains in a pretentious, self-indulgent diatribe about how it created Reapers, describes this will be the sixth time the galaxy will have been harvested and tells Shep he/she is the eventuality of "an anomaly that it has been unable to eliminate from the harmony of mathematical precision, vis-a-vis, concordantly ergo".
From there it gives Shep the choice of saving Earth and allow the other species to die or try in vein to save the galaxy despite the simple obvious truth that everyone will die and there is nothing he/she can do to stop it.

Yeah, exactly thatIn fact I'm hoping it's that, along with a really well done LI dialogue.
Hmm... as much as I like Mark Meer, I'd rather hear Ben Browder handle that sort of scene.

The way I see it.. TIM might be Miranda's father.. Miranda's also is/was his top operative. A father would expect his offspring to be the best in his business. TIM also apparently doesn't have any sexual interest in Miranda as well. Also Miranda (through hints) was told that she joined Cerberus when she was old enough to want to join, which was fairly young which would make TIM old enough to be a father in age to Miranda.
*Note that Bioware REFUSED to speak in particular of Miranda because if they did.. they would "spoil main parts of the storyline". I'm sure most of you guys who seen Casey Hudson's tweet reply about Miranda knows that.

During Miranda's loyalty mission she stated that even her father wouldn't cross TIM. So I think she knows who her father is, we just don't.ME-ParaShep wrote...
For some reason, I'm thinking that The Illusive Man might be Miranda's father. Miranda spoke of her father to be an incredibly wealthy man who sought a dynasty. TIM is looking to build a strong human dynasty. TIM is also very wealthy with many contacts and resources. Miranda's father could also be using some powerful information brokers as well, just as how the Illusive Man has information brokers as well. TIM has powerful imformation brokers to his disposal and he keeps things secretive. Miranda's father appears to be secretive about his plans as well as how Miranda and Oriana don't know exactly why they were genetically created. Miranda's father is an ambitious man. TIM is also an ambitious man. Cerberus has been "generously funded" by Miranda's father who again, is wealthy. TIM is also very wealthy. He put 4 billion creds into Shepard's ressurection.

Maybe Shepard is indoctrinated by a Reaper that wants to help organic life, that Reaper was the Normandy and that's what the Collectors were after at the beginning of Mass Effect 2. Then they decided to go after Shepard once he was brought back to life and continued the Normandy's fight...
Or TIM has always worked for the Reapers and EDI is a Reaper that tried to kill Shepard and destroy the last of the Protheans (The Collectors) with the suicide mission...

1. I like it but disagree. I can't see the Reapers being controlled by TIMjamesp81 wrote...
I have a couple of ideas. Feel free to submit your own.
Twist #1: Cerberus isn't actually indoctrinated. In fact, it's the other way around. Through various research they did through things like Project Overlord and other projects, Cerberus has indoctrinated the Reapers and is using them to make a play to rule the entire galaxy. Now, why would Cerberus have their pets attack Earth then? Probably because TIM saw the potential of the Human-Reaper, and Earth is where there's enough people to smoothy into one. Cerberus doesn't mind killing lots of humans if doing so enhances their power. As a plot device, this could make for a very interesting storyline if handled properly.
Twist #2: Shepard is a robot with a VI or AI in his head, and the "real" Shepard died at the beginning of ME2. This one has been discussed before. Personally, I think this would suck.
Twist #3: Shepard has Reaper tech in him. Again, this would suck, but has been discussed before.
Twist #4: The Council is indoctrinated. Would not surprise me in the least, especially after "Ahh, yes, Reapers".
What do you guys think? I'm curious to see everyone else's theories on this.
2. I agree it would suck, but it would make more sense that the damned Lazarus Project
3. This one would make sense to a certain degree.
4. lol Would explain a lot

Yes. And so is Garrus, in my playthrough.
If you cheated your LI, there will be two babies and
you'll have to take responsability for both... And because of that, you won't be able to stop the reapers. Negative consequences for cheating, as they said

Except due to the cybernectic implants, a FemShep is infertile like Miranda so the whole pregnancy issue can only be achieved if you're a male Shep.RAF1940 wrote...

The Reapers are manufactured by the Council and are made to come wipe us out before we do it to ourselves. The Reapers would do it more effeciently and painlessly where we ourselves would cause misery and destruction and upset the balance of races, with one race have the upper hand and growing too large. The Reapers would do it for us, and leave the same amount behind to grow and start over again. The balance would be perfect once again. That's why the Council works against you so much<_<
I dunno, I was just thinking about it some and it could make some sense lol.

Turns out it was closer than we thought, it's just a bit little. You know, for a galaxy. Yeah.
