If you click the link to the Eurogamer source, it doesn't confirm multiplayer. It merely states it is a rumour.

I don't know why CVG are saying it's confirmed?

Because they're shoddy journalists. That generic laundry list of features which names a "Horde mode" etc. could have been made by anyone describing Gears of War MP. It's obviously flaky. A better source of non-denial of these MP rumors is Ray Muzyka at E3 2011.

There will be NO Multiplayer in Mass Effect 3. everyone at BioWare said it. it was rumoured multiplayed and we all agreed a MP ME3 would only suck.

they better work on a spin-off title allowing Multiplayer, THIS they announced to look for.

That website is unreliable anyway, they said in an article about Gears of War 3 that a character called Clayton Carmine was confirmed to survive by the games lead designer despite the fact that Epic clearly stated that whether or not he does will not be announced, as people voted on whether or not he would.

That website just makes crap up.

Second post: Fourth post tells the source.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention one thing: Confirmed NO MULTIPLAYER. They're talking about future games and/or spinoffs having it, but not this time.

Well, according to the Known Features thread, listed under "Confirmed" is "No MP".
Given that the devs themselves have tinkered in that thread, and editted sections of it to their liking, it gives a strong indicator thath MP will be lacking in ME3.

If you had actually read what Casey said in Game Informer you would appreciate it does NOT confirm there will be no mp in ME 3.  This is EXACTLY what he said in Game Informer :-

Casey Hudson wrote .........  We haven't YET come up with a way to do that, so we don't have
anything to announce at this time. But obviously muliplayer is
something we want to do more of in the future as a company.

So if they have decided there will be no MP in ME 3 why didn't they ANNOUNCE that.

Yeah, but you source says rumors, while mine says confirmed.

Here is the orginal list picked from the source, Game Informer magazine.
How ever, warning it has heavy spoilers too.

They can make as many multiplayer mass effect games as they want. Just keep it out of ME3. Shepards story started as SP - it should end that way.

That's because Phaedon doesn't like multiplayer and abuses his ability to edit that thread, as does Javier his ability to close threads that talk about MP in ME3. Phaedon and Javier are bothing being intellectually dishonest when they attempt to shape community perception about the possibility of MP in ME3 with the Known Features thread saying it's a confirmed no-go when it is actually not confirmed, and Javier with his oversealous locking threads with "ME3 is single player" and no other explanation or consideration of statements from Bioware themselves.

The current status of MP in ME3 is "neither confirmed nor denied."

Your source is bull****. Look at what charmingcharlie wrote to you just a few moments ago. If you actually read the GameInforer article you keepp citing, it doesn't in any way explicitly confirm that there will not be MP in ME3.

Oh its still there.  But you have to play with three random people you meet online now.  Oh and if one quits then the game ends and you have to do it again from scratch...    Or if it doesnt end you will be horribly outnumbered and the balance has gone making it a monster of a task!

Additionally just as your about to kill the last badguy your teammate shoots you and the back and you lose the whole thing.

Sounds fun!!

Ray Muzyka has officially changed BioWare's stance on Mass Effect 3 having multiplayer to "we're not saying, but stay tuned."

It seems the "No Multiplayer" statement might no longer hold post delay.  Can BioWare reconfirm the statement?

Ray Muzyka: "We're exploring multiplayer modalities for all of our games.  We're interested in the idea, but, you know, we have nothing to announce on that front on the show today."

CVG: "But, is it something you can say is definitely not in Mass Effect 3?"

Ray Muzyka: "No, we have nothing to announce today at E3.  We're announcing a lot of features here, there's a lot of cool stuff, and we're always looking forward to the future where we can talk about more things."

CVG: "I look forward to hearing about it."

Let people believe what they want to believe. No need to drag them down into your nerdrage.

You should be hoping they're right.

As I've said elsewhere, I'm not opposed to the idea of multiplayer. I'm just not sure how splitting the development resources to include a multiplayer element at this stage of this particular ME story is a good idea. Doubling the genres in a single package will likely lead to a diminished experience in both. By all means, I'd love to play multiplayer Mass Effect, but don't wedge it into ME3.

The joke is that every time a company decides to tack on multiplayer when it is not needed, the single player length (as well a quality) normally suffers.

If they do implement multiplayer, it shouldn't  be "player vs player", like Gears of War, Halo, or Call of Duty already
has. If people want that, they'll play one of those games. What WOULD be awesome, is to have a co-op operation that would be huge, such as what is said in the post I quoted. It would be pretty
unique and different than what is out there today. Fighting off waves and waves of Husks, Geth, Ceberus Troops, and/or anything else to buy enough time for transports to get away would be awesome.

Ray Muzyka should lose his teeth?

http://www.pcgamer.c...player-and-mmo/

Watch the video yourself. When asked a direct, easy to answer question "will ME3 have multiplayer" he starts dodging and evading, saying "nothing to announce."

If MP in ME3 were completely off the table, why wouldn't he just say "no MP in ME3"?

I downloaded every single piece of DLC, and it took me just short of 60.

If they hired from the outside for the multiplayer component, which it sounds like they did, then I have total confidence that it will not detract from the finished product one bit. I'm as much a story nerd as all the people here whimpering and overreacting about potential multiplayer, and I have to say that it's an intriguing prospect with great potential. But only if it's implemented the way it's defined in the article, and I have all faith in Bioware to do so intelligently.

Despite all the people grasping at straws and giving "confirmations" on ME3 being a single player only experience, the lack of a denial in the video interview above is very telling, I would think. I know that you people feel like you own a part of the Mass Effect universe, but if multiplayer was on a separate disc and didn't affect the development of the campaign at all, would it be the worst thing in the world?
