Soren spoke to a man named Madeen, he said that Soren had to go talk to some man named Tolgerias for some sort of task.


Soren went into the Council of Six building, and spoke to a man and purchased a magic using license for ten thousand gold! Soren spoke to Tolgerias next, and found out that he wanted to hunt down a murderer named Valygar Corthala. Soren talked to Chief Inspector Brega next, and gave him Aegisfield’s body, and told him that the Tanner did it. Yvette also leveled up, and regained some of her thief abilities.



Next, Soren spoke to a boy named Delon. Soren told Delon that he would go to Umar Hills to save the village from some mysterious creatures.


Soren went to the gates, fully intending on leaving Athkatla, when he spoke to a man that said there was some sort of animal problem in Trademeet. Soren said that he will go when could.


Then, Soren went inside of inn, and heard about two love birds being separated from eachother. Soren decided to check it out. Then, Soren talked to the Tilro and Aulava, and told them that in the end only love matters! Soren also found Jafir, and paid him for the lamp. Then, Soren activated the lamp and wished for the Genie’s freedom. Soren rested at the inn, only to have a nightmare about Imoen and Irenicus. Soren thought he was done with all these nightmares!



On the way out of the inn, there was another vampire which turned some thieves against Soren, however, the thieves died rather quickly.


Soren and Yvette spoke of Gorion, because Yvette wanted to know who raised Soren since it wasn’t any of the Bhaalist priesthood, or anything foul like that.


Soren overheard the villagers meeting about the current crisis that is going in the village.


Soren had another nightmare about Irenicus, something about power this time. Soren kind of…accepted the gifts in the dream, but that’s what it was right? A dream, nothing more, nothing less.

Note: Hmm, If I didn't have Yoshimo, I think Yvette would be the front line thief to go disarm traps and open locks because of her 90 in lock picking, and 85 in find traps. Also, this is a pretty boring update.

Soren spoke to the mayor and decided to investigate the killings that have been going on in Imnesvale because these people needed someone to investigate it, and probably find the other people that were also investigating it.


Then, Soren spoke to a man named Daar. Daar was in love with a mage’s daughter, but the mage didn’t really like that, so poor Daar couldn’t go out with her because of the simple fact that the mage had, well, magic.


Next, Soren spoke to the mage, and decided to help Jermien get some mimic’s blood for his golem that was meant to protect his daughter from things including Daar.


Soren spoke to the ogres, they weren’t in any better shape than the village, and they weren’t even killing people from the village, but Madulf proposed an idea so that the village and the ogres can live in harmony with each other.


Soren handed the Jermien his mimic’s blood, and the golem came to life. However, there was a slight problem, the golem came to life and started to attack people! Once Soren, and his group defeated the golem, Daar came rushing in to find Colette. Jermien let Daar and Colette be together, and theres the happy ending for that. Also, Yoshimo and Yvette leveled up.



Next, Soren spoke to the mayor, and got him to meet with Madulf. Perhaps there can be peace between ogres, and humans after all. Aerie’s mage side also leveled up!


Soren went back to Athkatla, and a messenger for Aerie showed up saying that Quayle needed to talk to her for something.


Soren had another nightmare about Irenicus and Imoen. It somewhat scared him that he would be having nightmares like that.


On the way back to Imnesvale, Soren had come across a man that was dying because of poison and Soren knew he had to help the man. Then, Yvette spoke to Soren about her memories, well, her memories about becoming a Heartwarder of Sune.


Soren brought the man to where he needed to go, and Jaheira learned the Harper’s Call spell.

Soren spoke to a woman named Anath, she was really a werewolf, and she explained that what was really killing the people of Umar Hills was a creature called the Shade Lord. Anath also explained that the Shade Lord corrupted most of her pack as well.


Soren made it to the meeting spot, only to watch Anath die, against her own pack. Soren did what Anath told him to do, and that was to put a fragment of a mirror where it belonged and an area near a crystal became enveloped in light! So, now it was up to Soren to bring vengence to Anath, and the villagers of Umar Hills.


Soren found a locked and guarded up halfling named Mazzy. Mazzy told Soren of her attempt against the Shade Lord, and Soren decided that he needed someone that had fought the Shade Lord previously. So, Soren told Jaheira that he didn’t need her for a bit, and Jaheira said she would be near the Harper Hold in Athkatla. (I felt my party was a wee bit…overstocked on the divine casters. Also, if I really want to, I could dual class Mazzy into a thief.)


Mazzy explained what a Sun Gem could do, and that it was used to break down shadow barriers or something like that.


After completing a test for a piece of a symbol, Yvette leveled up! Soren, and Aerie talked about Yvette, and Soren said that he liked Yvette. Aerie said that she liked Soren, but Soren would be a better match for Yvette.


Soren returned the bones of Amuana to her grave, and then Minsc and Aerie were speaking of Rasheman. Then, Aerie became Minsc’s new witch!


Soren made it to the Shade Lord, Shadow Patrick, and the altar, and killed all of them. Then, Soren spoke to Yvette about Gabriel, and that Yvette wanted to be friends with Soren. Next, Mazzy and Soren honored Mazzy’s companions. Lastly, Soren spoke to Merella, and watched her die. Soren, Minsc, Yoshimo, Aerie’s Cleric side, and Yvette leveled up!




Soren went back to Umar Hills, and got his reward, as well as becoming the Ranger-Protector of the place, which wasn’t really what Soren wanted, but he wasn’t allowed to turn it down.

Note: Soren as the ranger-protector of Umar Hills..Hmm..Kind of scary. Also, dual-classing Mazzy to a thief would be kind of...funny. I think I would end up making a bunch of Robin Hood references if I Dual-classed Mazzy. Then again, Mazzy is a wee bit too good to steal from the rich to give to the needy, but something tells me she would do a better job at it than Nalia.

Update time.

Aerie spoke to Soren about the sunset, and about how their childhoods weren’t really all that different. Well, aside from the fact Aerie used to fly around, and Soren was sheltered in a library fortress.


After buying some scrolls, Aerie’s mage side leveled up, and Mazzy leveled up too!


Yvette talked to Soren about another one of her memories, after joking around about stealing his heart! Soren listened to Yvette, and suddenly wanted his dream of him, Yvette, and Imoen sitting together next to a fireplace, telling stories, and eating sweets!


Soren went to the circus tent, and watched Aerie and Quayle speak to eachother. Quayle’s friend needed some help with something, and Soren decided that he would go help this person.


Soren paid five gold pieces for a play. However, by the end of it he somewhat wished that he never saw that darn play in the first place. Then he went to the back and spoke with Raelis Shai. Raelis was missing one of her performers, and that he was located in the sewers with a mage named Mekrath.


Soren went to the temple district, and overheard something about a religion for the ‘sightless’ or what not. Then, a Priest of Lathander spoke to Soren and told him that he wanted to speak to him later. Hmm, Soren made a note to himself to talk to the Priest once he was done with the business he already had.


Soren fought with some men on the way to saving Raelis’ performer. It was a difficult fight, but Soren and his group prevailed.


Soren found Haer’Dalis, and saw that he was charmed. So, Soren went to Mekrath, and then killed him which freed Haer’Dalis. Then, Soren sent Haer’Dalis back to Raelis. Next, Soren picked up the gem that Haer’Dalis wanted and went back to the theatre.


Once out of the sewers, Yvette asked if Soren liked fruits, and then gave him some wildberries. After that, some woman was trying to pawn her child off to a Priest of Talos. Lastly, Soren ate the wildberries, and a conversation with Yvette ensued.


Soren went to the temple of Lathander, and Yvette taught Soren that Sune and Lathander are allies against Shar. Then, Soren bought Yvette a book of Sune’s Chants, and Yvette asked why he would do that, and he said it was because he liked her.


Soren went back to the Five Flagons, and got a lesson on interplanar travel, and watched Raelis, Haer’Dalis, and the troope get captured, so Soren had to go after them!


Soren went through the portal, and saved a halfling from some men, and then spoke to the halfling about what he should do now. The halfling said to go after the Master of the Thralls, which that is what Soren is going to do.


Soren defeated the master of the thralls, and then spoke to a dwarf. The dwarf said to destroy an orb and free the other Thralls. Soren and his group defeated the Warden, now there was only one thing to do: Save Raelis and her troope!


Soren saved Raelis and her troope, however, Haer’Dalis wanted to stay and help Soren instead of going back home with Raelis. So, Raelis gave Soren the deed to the playhouse, and then several conversations about where Raelis was at, and what play Soren was going to perform started up.

How about making Mazzy a paladin with a kit? Those paladin kits are really useful, and besides, the only reason they didn't write her as a paladin in the first place was because of an arbitrary 2nd edition rule that said halflings can't be paladins.

Thank you! Well, I think this is the first time that I've ever had Mazzy in a party before, so I wanted to keep her original class. However, I'll probably make her a kitted Paladin on my next playthrough.

After an ambush on the way to Trademeet, Yvette spoke to Soren about how she used to call him “Child of Bhaal”, and hoped that Soren wasn’t offended by it. Of course Soren would never be offended by that, considering that’s what he was and there was no changing that. Well, except for the fact that Soren would fight against his acursed heritage with all he has.


At the City Gate, Soren saw this ruffian trying to mess with a Merchant and stopped the ruffian. Soren also got to see what the Merchant was selling, it was mostly ammuntion for ranged weaponry.


Soren went into the inn and found out that the two love birds that he had hooked up were actually two very bad seeds. So, Soren went to go speak to them about mentioning his name whenever they did something so…bad. However, instead of listening to reason Soren had to kill them both.


Soren sensed a vampire when he exited the Inn, and she asked if he was allied with the shadow thieves, and he currently wasn’t, or at least he thought he wasn’t. Soren wasn’t really sure, so he just answered that he wasn’t allied with them.


Soren headed towards Trademeet, and when he got there animals were attacking the place, so once the animals were put down, the militia captain told Soren to go meet with the High Merchant.


Soren spoke with the High Merchant Logan Coprith. The High Merchant asked Soren to help a druid named Cernd out with his task, as well as solve the animal problems in Trademeet. Soren spoke to Cernd, and told him that he would help, but he didn’t need anymore people. Soren also paid bail for a man named, Faren and sent him to the pub.


While fighting some trolls, a man showed up and warned Soren to turn away from the grove, but Soren couldn’t do that because he had to help Cernd. Soren came across another druid, and this one tried to kill him because he was tresspassing.


Yvette talked to Soren again, she wondered where Soren had bought her portrait from, and Soren said from an old lady, and Yvette wanted to meet this little old lady.


After fighting some earth elementals and spiders, Yvette leveled up. Now, Yvette knows how to raise the dead. (Well, technically Soren does too, but that’s not the point.)


Soren fought with another group of druids, but he dispatched these druids quite easily compared to the other groups.


Then, Soren found the head druid, which happened to be Faldorn from the Cloakwood. Soren had to duel her for the grove, which Soren did and he defeated her as well. Soren also became a protector of the grove, and his first task was set as well.

Great work, Sapphire. How about sharing some combat details on the tougher battles? For example, what tactics did you use to beat Faldorn? I'm always reading these threads looking for ideas on how to improve my game tactics and strategies.

Faldorn was really a battle of fists...I'm being serious when I say that, I rushed in there with Soren, and he just hit her and instead of casting spells she just hit him with her fists. So, Soren cast magic stone, and hit Faldorn with a couple of those, and then I had him cast Spiritual Hammer, and he ultimately killed Faldorn with that.

Update time!

Soren went to the Promenade, and Higgold sent a messenger for Soren to go to the Playhouse and start directing the play, or at least that’s what Soren would guess. Then, Soren talked to the old woman that he had bought Yvette’s painting off of. Apparently, the real Yvette had died to save her village from a plague. Soren wondered what magic, or divine magic had done this.


As soon as Soren made it to the bridge district, a halfling named Danno came up to Mazzy and started talking about how he had given, Mazzy’s sister, Pala a love potion. So, Soren had to go back to Trademeet after he conducts his business at the Playhouse.


Soren went to Trademeet, and found out that Wallace had poisoned Pala, or at least that’s what everyone is thinking, however, Soren wanted everyone’s side of the story before he starts pointing fingers at people. Mazzy and Soren talked to Wallace, apparently, he got the potions from a priest named Barl so now Soren and Mazzy were going to speak to Barl. Barl was the one creating poisons, and so Mazzy and Soren defeated Barl, and gave the antidote to Mazzy’s sister. So, Soren was going to be without Mazzy for a couple of hours.




Soren found a bhaalspawn in the pub! The bhaalspawn just teleported away after being struck by lightning!


Next, Soren spoke to the High Merchant Coprith again, and told him that he had ended the problems with the druids. Now, it was time to deal with the Dao.


After that, Soren went after the quary of the Dao. It was a hard battle but they were defeated. (Tactics: I tried to silence them but that didn’t work. Hah..So, I went to using Magic Stones, and Spiritual Hammers. Also, I used defensive harmony, shield, minor glove of invulnerablity, and Melf’s Minute Meteor’s before they were dispelled.) After that, Yvette talked to Soren and she thought of herself like she were some summoned monster. Soren actually thought it was because Sune wanted to give Yvette another chance at life.


Soren went back to Trademeet and gave the Dao the head of their quary, and then the Dao went back to Calimshan. Soren also went and retrieved Mazzy since her sister was now feeling better.


Soren told High Merchant Coprith about the Daos leaving Trademeet. So, the town of Trademeet held a meeting, and Soren met the two old and powerful families in Trademeet.



Upon exiting the High Merchant’s house a woman said her son, Tiris, needed some help, and this sounded urgent, but first the party needed to rest.


Soren spoke to Tiris, and Tiris said that his girlfriend was captured by someone named Rejiek. So, it seems the tanner had gone out to Trademeet! Soren knew that he had to stop the man! Soren had found a man at the southwest gate, and followed him to Raissa, except Raissa’s skin was being used by Rejiek! So, Soren killed Rejiek and the other man, and cast a restoration spell on Raissa when she put her own skin back on. Soren went back to Tiris for his reward, but Tiris and Raissa were already off to get married.

Soren, and Yvette spoke of Priests and Priestess of Sune, and the philosophy behind worshiping some of the beautiful things in life. Then, Soren spoke to Lady Lurraxol and she told Soren that she wanted an item from a tomb near by, and that she would give him one thousand gold for it.


High Merchant Coprith said that it was okay for Soren to enter the tomb, but if he got the relic that was inside of it for Lady Luraxxol there could be some serious implications later on. Then again, Soren could get the relic for the High Merchant and skip some of those..implications.


Soren gave the relic to High Merchant Coprith, and ended his association with both of the families. This caused Yoshimo to level up.

Update Time!

Soren went to the copper coronet, and got permission to go to the back, but apparently it was too far back as he found the slaves because he got attacked by the guards! So, Soren knew that he had to free said slaves. Aerie’s priest side leveled up from the battle with the guards.


Soren found the man who had the key, and killed him. Not just because he owned slaves, but how poorly he was treating the animals as well. Soren freed the slave, and Hendak. Hendak planned to seek his revenge as well. (Who could blame him.)


Soren watched Hendak kill the slimy, slave owning poopoo head. Then, Hendak gave Soren another task, and that was to free some children from the slaver compound in Athkatla. Soren leveled up from all of this.


Soren used the secret passage to get to the slaver base, so when the first major slaver talked to Soren. Soren told the man to turn himself in, but the man refused to. After the battle, Yvette and Soren talked about if Soren had any biological siblings, and Yvette spoke of her younger sibling, Marie.


Sadly, Minsc found his end at the hands of slavers, while freeing some children. Minsc had hit a trap, and whoosh! Gone forever! Soren vowed to protect Aerie in Minsc’s stead.


Soren freed the last slave child, and decided to report back to Hendak of his success.


Next, Higgold sent a messenger to bring Soren back to the Five Flagon’s Playhouse. Perhaps this is where Soren could pick up Haer’Dalis to replace Minsc for the time being.


Soren told Hendak about what transpired at the Slaver Base, and Aerie’s diviner side leveled up!


Soren went to the Five Flagons, and had Haer’Dalis join the party even if it was temporary. Soren also conducted his business inside of the playhouse.

With some extra scrolls that Soren had, Haer’Dalis learned some spells, and then he leveled up.


Soren went to the temple district of Athkatla, and spoke with the morninglords. Soren had to go down to the sewers to stop the cult of the unseeing eye. Another morninglord wanted Soren to contact a a sculptor name Sir Sarles and commission a sculpture.


Soren went to the temple of talos to go buy some supplies when Yvette wanted to randomly dance with Soren.


Soren went into the sewers and found Sir Keldorn. Soren thought a Paladin would be more useful to the group than a bard, so Soren sent Haer’Dalis back to the Five Flagons.


Deeper into the Sewers, Yvette spoke of how the cultists weren’t serving any known gods, and that they weren’t allies of Lathander, Helm, Talos, or Sune. Soren found the cult of the unseeing eye, and spoke to Gaal. Yvette said that she felt strange when she was around Gaal. Also, Gaal charged Soren with finding an artefact in the levels below. Soren found some more people without eyes, and they said not to get the rod, then they said to get the rod.


On a lower level, the party rested, and Soren had the sudden urge to give Yvette flowers! So, he did, and Yvette said that she would pleasantly wake him up someday. (Suffered another reload at the hands of a beholder. Not nice. Hah.)


Soren found some people that were worshiping some god they forgot the name to. Such a sad fate for someone. Soren went inside of the temple and defeated the beast with a cure light wounds spell, and then the avatar of the god came, and asked Soren to get the other half the rod that was needed to destroy something. Keldorn spoke to Soren about sanctuary, and then Soren told Keldorn that he was a son of Bhaal, and that Keldorn’s presence would make him feel better. Then, the people outside started to say that even if Soren did what he said he would that it wouldn’t change anything.

Note: I'm not even sure how Soren died against that beholder. Hmm...I doubt it was petrification. I would have used the Shield of Balduran, but that no longer blocks against Beholder Rays. Curses on Item Revisions sometimes.. Hah. Also, May get done with the Unseeing Eye tonight.

Condolences on the tick on your reload counter. You do know that the Unseeing Eye is an elder orb and can cast spells that are not rays, right? It has lots of nasties including Abu-Dalzim's horrid wilting. If your reload was agaisnt the elder orb, it could have been a lot of stuff, flesh to stone, finger of death, disintegrate, and even imprisonment if you were high enough level. Were you using death ward and protection from petrification? That would have protected you from a lot of the save-or-dies. It sounds like you failed an important save on the first try and made it on the reload.

I would enjoy seeing more screenies and info about your combats, especially the more difficult ones. I guess most people here pretty much have the story and the dialogues memorized.

If your reload was agaisnt the elder orb, it could have been a lot of stuff, flesh to stone, finger of death, disintegrate, and even imprisonment if you were high enough level. Were you using death ward and protection from petrification? That would have protected you from a lot of the save-or-dies. It sounds like you failed an important save on the first try and made it on the reload.
I would enjoy seeing more screenies and info about your combats, especially the more difficult ones. I guess most people here pretty much have the story and the dialogues memorized.

I think the thing that killed Soren was just a regular beholder. I didn't know that the Unseeing Eye was an Elder Orb, and it really didn't seem like it was one either by how easily it went down. Then again, I don't have more difficult Unseeing Eye turned on either.. Hah.

Update time. I've decided that I'm done writing a story at the moment, and just writing down tactics are certain major battles, and maybe some minor battles since people here probably know the whole story like the back of their hands. For instance, Unseeing Eye. Also, this way I don't take a whole lot of screenshots.

Major Battle: Thesal.
Tactics: Basically everyone was just attacking, and Aerie cast one magic missile before the guy fell, and then just basic attacks on his ghoul lord friend too.


Major Battle: Blind Priests in the Beholder Lair.
Tactics: Soren, Keldorn, Yoshimo, and Mazzy were regularily attacking, while Aerie cast Chaos. Yvette was also casting Hold person to hold some of the enemies. Once Chaos wore off, and tons of skeletons were being summoned, Aerie cast horror, and I turned off the AI scripts so then Soren could use his turn undead and kill all the skeletons.

Major Battle: Unseeing Eye
Tactics: Soren cast death ward on himself, and then found the Unseeing Eye. Once its protections were up, Soren used the rod, and then let the whole party come down on it with Mazzy ultimately killing the thing with an arrow.


Soren: Berserker > Cleric - 4 > 10
Keldorn: Inquisitor - 9
Mazzy: Fighter - 10
Yoshimo: Bounty Hunter - 12
Aerie: Cleric/Diviner - 9/10
Yvette: Thief > Heartwarder of Sune - 4 > 10

Total Reloads: 4

Note: I also accumulated enough gold to get to pick between Bodhi, and The Shadow Thieves, Soren is obviously going with the Shadow Thieves, and probably going to save Imoen as well. So, another update today may be probable.

Great work, Sapphire. You're playing with the difficulty slider on core rules, right?

My experience with the Unseeing Eye is that it is not as strong if you attack the priests and force its appearance up at the top floor in the pit area. But I usually follow the quest and fight it down in the caverns. I always have a lot of trouble with it, but you seem to have beaten it pretty easily with just regular attacks. Gratz.

Yeah, its on Core Rules.

I don't think I could do the Unseeing Eye any differently because theres stuff down in the caverns. I usually have problems with the Unseeing Eye as well. I can't believe that Mazzy just hit a critical strike and one-shotted the Unseeing Eye after using the rod. My eyes were widened as I was like "That was pretty dang fast." It was only a matter of seconds.

Update Time!

Major Battle: Lassal
Tactics: Again mostly basic attacks, and Aerie using Magic Missile whenever she could.
Battle Note: Might need to get Yvette or Soren to learn some Negative Plane Protection spells.


Major Battle: Jaylos, Caehan, and Gracen.
Tactics: Just basic attacks made by Soren, Yoshimo, and Keldorn on Jaylos and Caehan. Just used Basic attacks on Gracen as well.


Major Battle: Gellal
Tactics: Everyone regularily attacked except for Aerie who was casting magic missile.

Major Battle: Durst
Tactics: Everyone regularily attacked again, until Yvette ran out of arrows, then she went to using her staff until she cast Magic Stone. Also, Aerie cast two magic missile spells at the vampire.


Major Battle:  Tanova
Tactics: First I took out her buddy which wasn’t really all that hard. I threw many things at her. I had Aerie cast Stoneskin, breach, shield, minor spell deflection,  and even a spiritual hammer. Yvette had to cast chaotic commands and divine power as well as magic stone when she ran out of arrows, and then she put on her other bow that doesn’t require ammo, then I had her cast spiritual hammer as well. Mazzy started to attack with her Short Sword of Arvoreen+2 when she ran out of arrows. Keldorn cast true sight, and dispel magic. Ultimately, it was Soren who saved the day with his wands of the heavens.


Major Battle:  Lassal (Again.)
Tactics: Regular attacks from everyone again. Aerie cast some magic missiles, an agannazar’s scorcher, as well as melf’s minute meteor’s. Yvette cast magic stone. Soren cast Negative Plane Protection on Keldorn.


Major Battle: Bodhi
Tactics: Aerie used the melf’s minute meteor’s from the last battle, as well as some of the new ones she had to conjure. Yvette used Magic Stone, Spiritual Hammer, and Chaotic commands. Soren cast Negative Plane Protection on Keldorn again.


Soren: Berserker > Cleric - 4 > 11
Keldorn: Inquisitor - 10
Mazzy: Fighter - 10
Yoshimo: Bounty Hunter - 13
Aerie: Cleric/Diviner - 9/11
Yvette: Thief > Heartwarder of Sune - 4 > 10

Total Reloads: 4

Note: Time to go to Spellhold, and perhaps find some more bow ammo for Mazzy, and Yvette. However, Yvette doesn't really need it considering her bow, Daydreamer, doesn't need ammo, but the Short Bow +2 I have her using does...Haha.

Lassal is like Bodhi's second in command. Hes the guy that always kills Mook, if you side with the shadow thieves, and he keeps running from you in Bodhi's lair until you go into the trap room. I hate the trap room.. Again, thats if you side with the shadow thieves. You don't really get anything from him except for XP, and staking his corpse so then Bodhi shows up.

Thank you again, and I'm kind of liking this tactics-oriented style too. That way I don't forget what I did whenever someone asks me: "How did you beat <insertcreature/personnamehere>?" I think I may just keep doing this style. Heh.

Well, I finally get to update today. I couldn't do it eariler due to bad weather, and power outages. However, its only supposed to get a wee bit worse tomorrow. So, lets hope I don't get any tornadoes.


Major Battle:  Valen, Del, and Parisa
Tactics: Everyone regularly attacked. Soren cast Holy Smite, and Negative Plane Protection on himself and Keldorn. Aerie cast magic missile. Also, Sime got caught up in the fight because of the Holy Smite. (Oops!)

Major Battle: Valdek and Galvena
Tactics: Everyone regularily attacked. Keldorn, Soren, and Yoshimo attacked Valdek, while Yvette, Aerie, and Mazzy attacked Galvena. Except at the end, Aerie cast Magic Missile on Valdek.


Major Battle: Bhaal
Tactics: Regular attacks, but Soren had to use his Berserk.


Major Battle: Dace
Tactics: Soren cast Negative Plane Protection on himself. Imoen cast Magic Missile, Melf’s Acid Arrow, and Flame Arrow. Aerie cast Magic Missile, Melf’s Minute Meteor’s, and a Lightning Bolt. Mazzy and Keldorn regularily attacked.


Major Battle: Gabriel the Hopeslayer (Yvette Mod)
Tactics: Wand of Lighting, and Wand of the Heavens. Also, Yvette used Magic Stone, and Spiritual Hammer. Imoen used Melf’s Minute Meteors. Aerie cast Lightning Bolt.

Major Battle: Bodhi (again)
Tactics: No real tactics except for turning into the Slayer and watching her run, while the party members ran as well.


Soren: Berserker > Cleric - 4 > 12
Keldorn: Inquisitor - 11
Mazzy: Fighter - 11
Imoen: Adventurer > Mage - 7 > 12
Aerie: Cleric/Diviner - 10/11
Yvette: Thief > Heartwarder of Sune - 4 > 11

Tactics: Basicially, on Irenicus it was kill all of the clones that he conjured, and then go straight at him. With Yoshimo, Imoen was casting magic missile, and Keldorn had his True sight on as well.


Major Battle: King Ixilthetocal
Tactics: Soren, and Keldorn attacked the king, while Imoen was casting magic missiles around. Then prince showed up, and that practically ended the battle.


Soren: Berserker > Cleric - 4 > 14
Keldorn: Inquisitor - 13
Mazzy: Fighter - 14
Imoen: Adventurer > Mage - 7 > 14
Aerie: Cleric/Diviner - 11/12

@Sapph, gratz on your progress. I like your new screenies. Like me, you seem to be learning to catch spell effects with the prnt scrn button. I think that screenies are so much more awesome when they're lit up with BG's superlative spell effects, don't you?

I don't know where you live, but I hope there's nothing worse than power failures to worry about with your weather. We had a really bad tornado storm last April where I live, and it practically erased one of our suburbs from the map - lots of people lost their homes. And we live in a place that is not used to having any tornadoes. (Chattanooga, TN area).
