Yes. Wondering where to dual class Imoen, and that also means I'll need a thief.
Problem with BGT is learning spells is minimal XP so she'll have to earn herself some levels.

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin and Anomen.
Umar Hills
Madulf hasn't seen the mayor yet so I'm going to pay him a visit. I threaten him and take all his money reputation drops from 15 to 14, need to keep Viconia and Edwin onside. We advise Madulf he can take advantage of the village too but he's not listening to such talk.
I try to cast dweomer friends. After three failed attempts I cast improved chaos shield then turn myself to stone. I have a final auto-pause moment before solidifying. RELOAD, repeat all the above with slightly better results.
"Look" said the merchants. "It's our strengthened entangled friend. Better not upset him when he eventually breaks free to talk to us." Anomen gets bored and casts free action instead. Imoen asks if it a good time to mention that my skin colour has been unusual for a while 2 or 3 sessions now.
Viconia takes the shield of the lost magic resistance 100% with Kaliguns amulet and human flesh armour.
Shopping
Ah, the Adventurers Mart. A place to make friends, although my companions insist on the real deal and not the dweomer.
Our journey to Trademeet is interrupted by clones of ourselves. Worse, they have two Anomens. Three of him together are driving the rest of us nuts.
Druid Grove
Edwin and I have a blast with MMMeteors to help with trolls. Lycanthropes, druids, rashaka and spore colonies are overwhelmed before we invite Cernd to join us.

The insects scare her so he adds doom, barkskin, two insect summons, and then a pair of mountain bears. Faldorn shifts into panther form but the bears kill that instead.
Trademeet
Rejeik Hidesman has skinned his last, the rashaka have left, the mayor has the Trademeet bauble and Viconia has a visit from a Handmaiden of Lolth. Nothing else for us here.
Planar Sphere
Anomen observes he can swap armour with Valygar but decides not to. Valygar unlocks the sphere and leaves again. Various enemies are brushed aside, with Lavok receiving warding whip and pierce shield during a melee attack.
Tolgerias survives a Wilting but my next spell trigger looks promising (other than reduced potency).

His contingencies fire but a breach allows our attack to continue, with Viconia using the Handmaiden mace to kill him.
MMMeteors burn through frost salamanders, then Anomen equips his shield and a helm of defence for the fire salamander room. We continue into the engine room and have to kill four stone golems, one clay and two adamantite. Anomen is more than a little battered.
Some Other Plane
Start with three skeleton warriors and two aerial servants. Add bless and haste, buff party. Scramble around until three demons and their minions fall without any further buffs or rests.
Planar sphere stronghold
My first request is a Wand of the Apprenti. While my students do that we must speak to Ribald and get the Solemnic knights returned home. In preparation for such a heroic task I practice the slayer position reputation drops from 17 to 15.
A scroll of Wilting and a ring of wizardry mean I only have one apprentice left to worry about now (must find another way to kill him in case he becomes a threat).
An ambush eh. Three are down before we move.

Windspear Hills
We face hobgoblins, kobold commando backup to a ruhk transmuter and various shadows. While the rest of us are doing this Edwin balances precariously over a scrabbled pit and answers the call of nature.
We have an array of spells at the ready but Anomen cranks it up to level 20.

Encore.

Viconia has a go while we rest, but a horde of undead guardians make poor bedfellows.
King Strohm
Anomen has two rings, a shield and helm to keep him cool. A spectator beholder is no threat to him either. Imoen suspects there will be treachery.

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin and Anomen.
Windspear Hills continued
Lucky I was casting haste in a gap between us all, nobody taking any damage wondered what was going on for a moment when the wyvern cut-scene appeared.

Conster
He beats our initial attempt to de-buff him by disappearing. Oracle and True Sight allow warding whip and pierce magic then we use our weapons to lay him out.
Firkraag
Edwin is squeaking about excrement again. Anomen, Viconia melee, Imoen shoots while Edwin and I unload our spells.
Verun spell trigger. PMagic, Pmagic, Lresistance.
Edwin minor spell sequencer. MAArrow, MMissile.
Verun spell sequencer. GMalison, Emotion, Slow.
Viconia Doom.
Imoen finally hits with an ice arrow but Anomen and Viconia have been hitting hard, and it is Viconia who claims the kill before the arrow lands. Fitting, as she has picked up our only minor wound from Firkraag and gained the most from the encounter.

Stats so far;
Anomen. Fighter 7 > Cleric 21.
Flail of Ages +3 / Wyverns tail.
598 kills, Adamantite golem. Missed BG1 and start of SOA so he's even further ahead in relative terms.
Aerial Servant.
Viconia. Cleric 19.
Improved Mace of Disruption / Shield of the Lost. Sling of Seeking.
Bless.
311 kills, Firkraag (inc BG1).
Verun. Wild Mage 17.
Fire Tooth dagger / Boneblade dagger.
Larlochs Minor drain (BG1).
274 kills, Mogadish (inc BG1).
Edwin, Conjurer 16.
Crimson Dart
Magic Missile.
207 kills, Thaxll'ssillyia (inc BG1).
Imoen, thief 19.
Tuigan Bow
Set Snare.
223 kills, Deirex (inc BG1).

Live & learn! The two runs at similar places are handy. Firkraag will hopefully work the other way for example.
Good job too seeing as the greater malison ended up entangling an ambusher instead.

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin and Anomen.
Temple district illithid
Anomen is charming, attacking Viconia. Our summons keep four illithid at bay as we try to stay away from him. The final battle here sees Imoen stunned and we are unable to remove the paralysis before her brains are sucked out. We shove what we can back into her head, and Anomen raises her.
Silver Pantaloons
As soon as we reach the graveyard I realise my error, and Viconia is spirited away. Edwin is level drained but nothing Anomen can't sort out.
Bodhi
Edwin is drained again as we are flanked. Anomen is turning undead, then sorts Edwin again. He summons a trio of skeleton warriors to watch over us while he goes to turn more undead.

Ou preparation for Bodhi accidentally includes exploding the skeleton warriors. Anomen is just showing off now. Imoen has laid four snares, a fitting end for Bodhi.

She staggers towards Anomen so I hit her with a MMMeteor and she explodes. He steps inside, and turnkills some more...oops, sorry Viconia.

We stake Bodhi, collect Viconia and raise her at the abandoned temple of Amaunator.
Back to the Pantaloons
It doesn't take long to collect our ransom.
Cromwell
Shadow dragon scale. Red dragon scale. Crom Faeyr. The Equalizer. The Gesen bow. Imoen takes the shadow scale and Anomen Crom Faeyr but the rest is backpacked.
Xzar and Montaron
Inside the Harper Hold we find a helm of charm protection in a trapped eye painting. We've no use for it yet so I stash it. Xzar is assassinated, so our job is done.
Liches

I select IAlacrity as my first high level ability, and launch a series of spells until I surge oops hold myself. Imoen isn't bothered.

I switch from IAlacrity to Freedom as my spellbook empties too quickly and I suspect we may need the freedoms more urgently. Imoen starts with some snares, allowing Anomen enough time to hit with Crom Faeyr and ah improve Kangaxx.
Now we face a demi-lich. Edwin starts to cast PMagic while I wait to react to whatever Kangaxx does. No need, as Anomen hits twice before Viconia destroys him with iMoDisruption. Our spells and Daystar are not required full demi-lich encounter below.

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin and Anomen.
The Twisted Rune
Super-buffs; so many that Anomen's head isn't big enough to show them all. 2 mistakes; made Edwin cast haste before fire shield completed so lost his fire shield, and Verun still has freedoms when IAlacrity would have been so useful. Five summons are behind us and four traps where we expect trouble to start. Anomen acts as frontman while Viconia is ready to finish off anything that survives the traps.
Anomen waits, after 2-3 seconds I realise he is being ignored so go to join him and return quickly once our presence is noticed. Imoen is quick off the mark and Shangalar only gets a teeny weeny bit of amusement.

Anomen turns to Vaxall as I cast greater malison. Imoen attacks Revanek before realising her melee error so returns to safety and shoots arrows at him instead. Viconia moves to help Anomen, arriving just in time to make her mark.

A skeleton warrior kills Revanak before Imoen can do so, then I cast ADHWilting to deal with Shyressa.

Anomen is already with Layenne, Edwin hitting her with PMagic. Viconia is in melee reach now and Imoen is firing arrows ineffectively. I have used a spell trigger, going a bit dizzy. Our summons have gone and it looks as though my wilting spell was the cause, but melee proves too much for Layenne and she never gets to experience the two arcane de-buffs we were casting.

Anomen and Viconia are especially pleased, casting DUHM after RMagic meaning their buffs are more intact I always cast D>R when it looks like R>D has the same result with a longer combined duration.
Guarded compound
Sion and Ketta play it tough, but our buffs are still active. Their ground floor resistance is soon defeated, then we refresh some buffs to head upstairs and trash the place. Helm of charm protection in here Corey.
Postscript
I think we've done everything we need but will check with Volo to be sure. He'll just consult a game guide. Imoen is a level 21 thief so going to be a poor dual-class at this rate.

Yes I know about the charm protection helmet of the twisted rune compound. It's unnecessarily risky however, both with the enemy casters and that Coremonk could be killed with 2 backstabs. It also just simply unnecessary -- I got the two I needed from Tarnor's gang and the Harpers. Thanks for thinking of me though.

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin and Anomen.
Yoshimo
Our two clerics both level up for returning the heart of Yoshimo to the temple of Ilmater.
Forest of Tethir
Nothing too dangerous for us here, our biggest risk is complacency and not bothering to buff. Anomen survives being stunned and Edwin a chaotic command.
Suldanessar
Anomen and Imoen are buffed, I haste them and off we go. Anomen is using Crom Faeyr against golems and I surge an area effect so Imoen joins me with MMMeteors against the rakshasa.
Black Dragon
Edwin and I play IAlacrity.

After reviewing the IAlacrity results we decide Edwin needs the robe of Vecna.
Tree of Life
We find three parasites, killing two of them before considering the final one. Anomen and Viconia choose melee while Edwin and I go for IAlacrity only one of which at a time seems to work. Imoen stands back after Irenicus survives her five snares.
After a while the snares add more damage and the job is done.

On to the Nine Hells.
Wraith Sarevok
Viconia has to step back. As does Anomen. Edwin has unleashed a full IAlacrity spellbook at him, as have I. We add MMMeteors but Imoen has the last laugh with her arrows +1.
Enslaved genie
Oh Anomen! I wanted better saving throws and you said the wrong thing. Still, more hit points aren't a bad thing. Imoen grabs the blackrazor sword.
Selfishness
I ask for Anomen to be sacrificed but Imoen is selected instead. Suppose I'd better rescue her, don't want her haunting me forever.
Fear
Immune to magic weapons sounds good. On the way out I ask Viconia and Anomen to deal with the elder orbs and they oblige.
Pride
Resistances please, it also means we don't have to fight another dragon.
Irenicus
I open four of the five door wards as Imoen lays snares. Five summons are nearby, buffed along with the party. As Irenicus appears we ae buffeted into position.
He teleports twice but we have removed his minions and buffs. Edwin uses IAlacrity to add four MAArrows and six MMMissiles for a grand finale.
& so on to TOB

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin and Anomen.
Improved Illasera
Her helpers are first, and once they are all dead we surround her. Viconia uses the FoA +3 to end her eternal hope.
Sarevok
One condition. No oath or geas, just a change of career. Fighter 18 > Thief.
Imoen
We only need one thief. Thief 22 > Mage.
Pocket Plane trial 1
Anomen melees, as does Viconia for a while until her wounds mount up. The rest of us stand back and use missiles to survive in safety. Imoen reaches level 5, Sarevok level 6.
Saradush
A few easy tasks net us another bag of holding, a scroll case, potion case, spells etc. Sarevok and Imoen are racing through early levels albeit not helped by BG1 xp for locks, traps or spell learning.
Saradush sewers
It's time to let Sarevok know what he is up against.

We're in a mess, almost fight our way out only for more enemies to arrive. A thief backstabs Viconia as Imoen gets blocked by a fighter. We kill them but have to raise both the ladies and decide to send summons down the cramped corridors instead.
Improved Gromnir
Edwin did the same buffs as me, but gets de-buffed immediately. Although we have dropped two mages (my malison/wilting contingency) and a third enemy (Viconia does the hard melee with Sarevok nipping in for the fatal blow) we are taking damage. Edwin decides to up the ante.

Before he can call up a dark planetar Anomen has finished Gromnir before Sarevok reaches them. They both rush to help Viconia against Lashar'ra, Sarevok using Blackrazor to drain the life out of her. Anomen drops Halbazzer Drin, a flesh golem kills the only soldier then Anomen finishes with Eler Had.
Anomen, Fighter 7 > Cleric 25. 820 kills, balor.
Viconia, Cleric 22. 351 kills, Firkraag.
Verun, Wild Mage 19. 303 kills, Bodhi.
Edwin, Conjurer 19. 222 kills, Thaxll'ssillyia.
Imoen, Mage 9 (Thief 22). 257 kills, Shangalar.
Sarevok, Thief 11 (Fighter 18). 5 kills, Berena Elkan.

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin, Anomen & Sarevok.
North Forest
Not much to see here. A chance to reduce the Yaga-Shura army numbers, followed by selling their equipment. Sarevok/Blackrazor alongside Anomen/Crom and Viconia/FoA have taken us straight through the entire area and killed several fire giants.
Forest of Mir
Anomen and Sarevok take serious level drains from the master wraith while Viconia has to glug a healing potion. We rest after restoring levels, only for a shambling mound to appear. Viconia has to run, but we kill the mound and all survive. There seems to be a delayed affect though (Viconia then Sarevok take two hits each after the mound is dead). Sarevok barely survives but Viconia does not. We raise her and decide to rest in the pocket plane.

Time for some swords & sorcery.

Anomen deals with stragglers by turning them (into rubble).
Marching Mountains
Two fire giants kill Viconia and badly wound Anomen/Sarevok. The three of them tell me to take better care of them. OK, let's buff properly.
Chinchilla and his Bhaalspawn cohorts are first, followed by four fire giants and two burning men. I move towards the temple entrance but party glares are enough to force a pocket plane rest instead.
Marching Mountain temple
The first set of fire giants inside are quickly killed, then we make our way to the back of the temple. A second set manage to kill Viconia again but the rest of us hold our ground. I use IAlacrity to spam malison, slow, emotion, horror, MAArrows, MMMissiles and a wilting. Anomen raises Viconia and we pocket plane to rest in safety.
Our next visit sees two formerly blocked areas cleared, and the inner entrance opened. We decide to plane rest before proceeding.
Berenn
Anomen plays sheepdog, rounding all the elite fire giants up. Edwin and I supply wilting fingers as our summons try to help.

The hasted skeleton on the left has hardly moved since the last image but several enemies have died in a couple of seconds.

Cespenar improves a bag of bullets for Imoen as Viconia and Sarevok swap armour (he needs human flesh saving throws and she needs Asylferund armour more).
Anomen, Fighter 7 > Cleric 26. 870 kills, balor.
Viconia, Cleric 23. 370 kills, Firkraag.
Verun, Wild Mage 20. 312 kills, Bodhi.
Edwin, Conjurer 19. 234 kills, Thaxll'ssillyia.
Imoen, Mage 11 (Thief 22). 257 kills, Shangalar.
Sarevok, Thief 12 (Fighter 18). 15 kills, Shambling Mound.

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin, Anomen and Sarevok.
Forest of Mir part 2
Nyalee turns hostile but we are prepared. I have IAlacrity running and cast Greater Malison, Emotion (surge, no save!), slow, horror, two chain lightnings and a Wilting before it finishes.

Anomen realises the shambling mounds are resisting his blunt damage so he and Viconia doom them instead. Edwin and I add some FoDeaths but the dark planetar and skeleton warriors do the job with blades.
Improved Yaga Shura (he cast powercut and my battery-less laptop went dead so this is 2nd more painful attempt).
Yaga Shura clears off as soon as we injure him. I decide we can do the same, and return later to start again. I cast IAlacrity to slow his followers while Edwin unleashes a fallen planetar on his lieutenant fighter. Anomen and Viconia have killed the lieutenant cleric before summoning a servant and two skeleton warriors.
Sarevok distracts Yaga Shura briefly, dying as the last lieutenant falls. Anomen grabs his gear but lack of buffs lead to a beating, Viconia receiving the same. We decide to retreat and raise Sarevok who asks Viconia to swap armour back.
Back to Yaga Shura
As he attacks Edwin casts invisibility 10'. Sarevok is too far away so has to run but the rest of us hide then summon skeleton warriors and aerial servants.
Sarevok is yelling that he's taking all the risks (not true...see below), but we can take our time as he's OK. We have a slight friendly fire mishap and decide to retreat again. Edwin is dead, while Imoen and I are badly wounded.

Back to Yaga Shura again
As I open my spellbook Sarevok quickly volunteers to bait Yaga Shura instead. He's learning; even to the extent of having swapped rings with Anomen (Gaxx) and Viconia (fire control).
Oops. Are we scared - don't be!

I'm not sure if he has magic resistance so assume the worst. I've hit him with three PMagics (3x30%) and a LResistance, and my spells are starting to take effect, until my next oops moment where Edwin gets to laugh at my ladylike manner for a change.

My IAlacrity has run out so Edwin tries his own. Yaga Shura has time to cast sunray. Sarevok, the servants and planetar survive but both skeleton warriors are down. Yaga Shura is badly injured before Edwin unleashes four chain lightnings. He's a slower caster than me/AoP so Anomen and Viconia manage to buff a bit too. Feeling the pain yet Yaga?

Anomen and Viconia race over, he makes it in time to land a blow before a servant delivers the final hit.

I hope I turn back into a man soon.
Phew he's tough; Two full IAlacrity duration with summons and Sarevok on him, plus Imoen with a few spells and arrows. BUT; Edwin had another IAlacrity to go with 3 MAArrow,6 MMMissiles, 5 wiltings, a planatar and 3 FoDeaths. Viconia and Anomen were ready for melee bashing plus had 6 skeletons, 5 servants and a deva in hand. Sarevok was in good shape but Imoen and Verun were pretty much spent out (had 2 dweomers as a final resort).
Anomen, Fighter 7 > Cleric 27. 878 kills, balor.
Viconia, Cleric 24. 372 kills, Firkraag.
Verun, Wild Mage 20. 320 kills, Bodhi.
Edwin, Conjurer 19. 235 kills, Thaxll'ssillyia.

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin, Anomen and Sarevok.
Pocket Plane challenge 2
We face an aspect of myself, flanked by Semaj, Tamoko and Angelo. My counterpart targets me and I find myself running. Edwin summons a planetar and I tighten my circles so Verun can be cut down.
Once he is dead I can relax. Tamoko has almost killed Viconia but Sarevok is more than a match for her and Viconia returns for the telling blow. Anomen drops Semaj and then Angelo, allowing me to learn a mass heal special ability.
Watchers Keep level 1
After a couple of minutes we are fighting statues, but they are not able to stop us levels and equipment too high by the look of it.
We pocket plane so Cespenar can have a look at their loot. Paladin Bracers and Foebane, I decline each but Sarevok insists as they may be handy later. OK then.
Watchers Keep level 2
Two fire giants are easy, then Anomen and Sarevok enter a lightning wind room. Sarevok stays, a cloak protecting him. Anomen is forced to leave despite protection from lightning being used. A greater wind elemental follows him and kills Viconia, and our planetar refuses to fight because it wants to heal Anomen who is safe (grrr). Sarevok has to glug a couple of potions before the battle is over.
Summons deal with an acid room, and Cespenar upgrades the FoAges to +4. Anomen and Viconia have to leave a cold room but Sarevok stays to finish the job.
Chromatic demon
Two skeleton warriors, an aerial servant, a dark planetar and two earth elementals join us. My IAlacrity surges into gems so Edwin has a go. My next spell is PMagic, Viconia succeds with doom and Edwin kicks in with his alacrity.
Our magic seems ineffective no messages but no effect, but weapons and summons are doing the job. Sarevok has drained some levels with Blackrazor but an earth elemental gets the final hit.
Cespenar forges the Helm of the Rock, and the circlet of Netheril.
Yakman
Viconia heals him and we allow him to leave. We're stuck on where to go until Sarevok gets annoyed. We must return North, then East.
Cornugons and a Baalor
Wild magic abounds, and our fear buff is removed. Anomen runs scared as Viconia bleeds. Sarevok once again stands firm and we win through. Anomen and Imoen investigate a stone pillar with no success. Viconia tries and her evil nature causes an area damage effect from which we must retreat. hmm.
Anomen has a brief rest while I call forth Keldorn. He inspects the pillar and retrieves the Purifier sword. Sarevok demands he hand it over, together with his armour and own sword. Then we retrieve Anomen.
Tahazzar
We make a deal, although Sarevok insists on laying a trio of snares.
No magic zone
Again our fear protections are zapped. Anomen steps forward, panics and runs off. Sarevok has offhanded the Dragonslayer sword and removed a trap before attacking. Viconia, Edwin and Imoen are all badly wounded and try to retreat.
Anomen recovers and races back as I use a contingency thanks to whoever suggested contingencies in NMZ's a week or two back.

Five of us glug healing potions but Imoen has run off scared, and is fatally poisoned by two velithuu. Viconia glugs another potion as Anomen runs again. Sarevok can't glug an extra healing potion and falls as Edwin summons a stone golem. He adds a berserk warrior and Kitthix. Viconia panics and runs but Anomen has recovered and turns the battle somewhat.

Anomen is poisoned so I cram a green potion down his throat. The crimson dart and Fire Tooth dagger mean Edwin and I can help without moving and Amomen soon has them down. Viconia triggers about 20 traps before calming down, only her 100% magic resistance keeping her alive. We pocket plane to raise our dead and cast mass healing, then return to pick up our equipment after Sarevok has cleared the traps.
Thought there was a reload going to happen there but managed to see it through.
Succubus'
Quick reactions. Anomen switches to the shield of harmony, Viconia a helm of charm protection and Sarevok offhands the equalizer. The rest of us will stay back.
I have time to summon a dark planetar and stoneskin before my malisoned twin wilting contingency triggers. Edwin follows with his triple wilting contingency and only one fiend is left. Sarevok casually suggests we pocket plane rest to refresh contingencies.

Ka'rashur
Our contingencies fire as I summon a dark planetar. Sarevok demonstrates a deathbringer assault for 222 damage.

Edwin finally casts IAlacrity but only manages 3 or 4 spells before the battle is over. We head back, do the deal with Tahazzar then decide to fight him anyway.
Rune Pillar room
Two glazebru are OK but their guardians are tough. Eventually we summon a dark planetar and finish them off. Then the planetar tries to heal Sarevok despite having a globe of blades active. I almost die, Imoen does die. On the positive side, the planetar raises her again.
Tiefling Wild Magic room
Contingency malison/wiltings soften the tiefling party up and melee devastates them.
Cambion room
Anomen and Sarevok are both being drained, while I have gone bovine. The demonknight survives briefly but with Anomen and a fallen planetar it won't be for long.

Demon Wraith
Viconia tanks for the team, absorbing the wraith spirit attacks. Sarevok is looking for traps while Anomen has rushed the demon wraith.
As Sarevok joins him various contingencies fire and we must start again.

Oracle and True Sight are first, followed by de-buffs to remove the invulnerability. Imoen uses a magic missile to great effect while Sarevok and Amonen have a case of lucky timing.

Aesgareth
The first card game gives me a plague curse and a loss of experience. The second card gives me a strength curse, but I win the Spectral Brand scimitar. Anomen is busy removing curses as we start the third card game.
High Priestess, and a silence curse. We leave, receiving a chain lightning strike from Lum the mad on our arrival.
Anomen, Fighter 7 > Cleric 29. 925 kills, balor.
Viconia, Cleric 26. 383 kills, Firkraag.
Verun, Wild Mage 22. 329 kills, Bodhi.
Edwin, Conjurer 21. 248 kills, Thaxll'ssillyia.

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin, Anomen and Sarevok.
Lum's mad machine
There are shadows, yuan-ti, magic golems and more. No longer.
A gith camp is next, then we buff for a demi-lich. Nothing fancy like invisibility, PfUndead, etc. He has the chance to imprison us and probably will!
Edwin summons his golem then starts calling a planetar. I cast IAlacrity then start de-buffing as Anomen only manages a couple of hits before buffs activate. Then I cast Freedom to release an imprisoned Sarevok.
He returns in time to see Viconia iMoDestruction undead destroy move, but Anomen craftily gets another hit in. They can argue about who destroyed it later, first we need to get Sarevok back in the party.

Saladrax
Anomen manages the first hit then our contingencies kick in hard. Saladrax is badly wounded from the off.

He is picking on Viconia who has complete magic resistance but very little armour. Never mind, I have cast IAlacrity after my contingency piercings.

Fast ones first, Melf springs to mind. Three MMMissiles. Five MAArrows. Slow (disrupted by a MAArrow!). FoDeath. Anomen uses Crom to "save" Saladrax from a wilting. Afterwards we notice he was unable to injure the fallen planetar, saving the rest of us from two or three final attacks after Viconia was buffeted away.

Looking at the logs none of my spells are showing any text (either damage or magic resistance). Eventually I see a 7 damage after the FoDeath so presumably Saladrax has some sort of damage resistance and tiny effects like Melfs don't exceed it but wiltings and FoDeath do?

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin, Anomen and Sarevok.
Illithid encampment
We have a shed-load of buffs left from Saladrax so decide to continue. Almost immediately we kill a mind flayer while Anomen, Viconia and Sarevok fend off several umber hulks. Only Imoen knows cloudkill and she hasn't memorised it so I cast greater malison while Edwin winds up a wilting.

Sarevok sneaks forward but sees a confusion heading his way. I could tell him to use the immunity from Lilacor or The Equalizer but instead ignore him and get Anomen ready with chaotic commands. He adds an aura and blade barrier added globe of blades ready after next rest

Anomen still has the buffs running so starts on the next group. I hold what I can to help him.

We send skeleton warriors in to deal with the remaining illithid.
Rock and Garock
Viconia is on the wrong side of a GWWind but moves away in the nick of time. A planetar again chooses to help her despite repeated orders to deal with Rock so I maze our foe. The planetar and Anomen wait patiently but Sarevok is slow on the uptake and only manages one snare.

Lum's machine
Viconia offhands the Storm Star (+5 by Cespenar).
Str - Verun (11).
Dex - Sarevok (18).
Con - Sarevok (19).
Int - Imoen (18).
Wis - Viconia (22).
Cha - Verun (15).
Magic resistance - can't remember. Sarevok has a mind shield, Verun 15% and Viconia 70% + items.
Helmite Ghost : The Horde
Imoen and I are merrily casting while Edwin has used IAlacrity to lay down five wiltings. We're just getting into our stride when the spirit announces the trial is over.
Helmite Ghost : Green Dragon
No rest, straight onto the next challenge. My turn for IAlacity, with a volley of spells from wilting, FoDeath, CLightning to MAArrows.

Helmite Ghost : Riddling imp
I can remember the first answer, Sarevok works the second out. Back to the pocket plane to see what Cespenar can forge.
The Eternal Warrior
A pair of fire giants guard this game but doom, greater malison and FoDeath should work. Only Viconia is too fast, beating the finger with the FoAges +4 both times.
On to the game, we only have one warrior so Anomen steps forward. "Not so fast" says Sarevok, "I want to play". Anomen backs down.
Ball Pillars
Five shall play. Two skeleton warriors, an aerial servant, dark/fallen planetar inconsistent names and Zaaman Rul, prince of fire elementals.
Zaaman Rul clears off before the red pillar is complete so Viconia summons another servant. The final blue mage zaps all the summons with a death spell so we kill her. We still have a bunch of summoning spells left so no need to rest.
Two more skeleton warriors, two aerial servants and another dark planetar are blessed and hasted. Umber hulks confuse one servant, which sends the planetar hostile. We end up losing three more summons so kill the confused servant. Just the next planetar survives against the hive mother and elder orbs, and only with our assistance.
More skeleton warriors and aerial servants assist against shadow fiends, but the planetar either dies or is unsummoned. Edwin is lamenting an earlier wasted planetar summoning forgot the confused servant so hit the limit but I cheerfully say I think I have one left: LIE.

Vampires are easy, a pair of liches both manage timestop before Viconia iMoDestructions them.
Azamantes
We are fatigued, yet our buffs remain in place, so Anomen summons a deva and inserts a key. Anomen appears to get the final hit so maybe the Runehammer +4 undead destroyed doesn't notify.

Ferrumach Rilmani
Still fatigued, buffed and deva'd. Anomen inserts a second key and we discover this is maybe one battle too many as Imoen falls.

I kick Edwin, he's standing idle when we all thought he was casting IAlacrity. Bad mistake - Imoen wouldn't have been in danger.
Only the real enemy is left, but he silences Edwin and myself just as the alacrity is cast. We fight on, adding True Sights and Oracles together with breaches. Anomen has the last laugh, then we turn to raise Imoen.

Anomen moves towards the seal with a key in his hand. As we convince him a rest would be sensible we are attacked by two final Ferrumach's, but they are melee/healers and of little danger.

Final Seal Guardians
We have buffed to the max, and then some. Sarevok has laid snares while he, Anomen and Viconia are spread around the seal. Two skeleton warriors, two aerial servants and a fallen planetar are with them. Edwin, Imoen and I are further out, spread so our contingencies won't hit the same enemies. Anomen opens the seal.

Sarevok and his snares have started will, one enemy down and a few more injured.

I beat the planetar to the next kill, while Edwin has turned the other way and cast IAlacrity. Anomen and Viconia are all over the hive mother and the planetar turns to help Sarevok with The Huntress. I send it over to the Hive Mother instead as Sarevok is all over his enemy and in no need of assistance. I predict Anomen and Viconia are in far more danger read this as I HATE MARILITHS and beholders are tricky too.

I was right. Anomen has his spell protections stripped and the Hive Mother targets him. Y'tossi has hit Viconia, forcing her to glug a healing potion too. Imoen has sequenced The Huntress with malison/emotion and aims MMMeteors at the Hive Mother.
Viconia switches to FoAges +4/iMoDestuction to try and slow Y'tossi, the planetar joining her as it cannot injure the Hive Mother. Imoen has neutralised The Huntress with her low level malison/emotion so Sarevok is at no risk. I'm wilting around Anomen to see if that helps him.

Despite Anomen bludgeoning away it is an aerial servant that kills the Hive Mother. Sarevok has the same issue when a skeleton warrior finishes the huntress. Everybody converges on Y'tossi as we de-buff her, the planetar finishing her. Good riddance.

Nalmissra drains Sarevok off top left of icon, really hard to spot so he steps back, as does Anomen who has mounting wounds. This allows a skeleton warrior to end the battle.

I learn another spell and can't wait to try it. Maybe just a little dweomer...or two (why have you all stood over there?)

See, this could have been all of us if you'd stood closer!

The imprisoned one
I've lost the scroll, but the imprisoned one doesn't notice. He tells me I have been betrayed, so I agree to go find out. We have to wait at the exit for Sarevok, what is he doing? laying traps
Sidenote, there is a back door at the base of the tower. I glare at my thief, asking why he did not lead us inside this way to start with. Brother or not, he's got to make more of an effort.
Odren
He's not in a good mood, deciding to finish what I have started. I try to point out the back door but he's determined to go the long way.
Improved Demogorgon
BLEEP. Thought I had him after about 3 minutes, even though Viconia and I had to run from one side to the other so we were all bunched together. At this stage it looked good but the instant a planetar falls the problems start, with our failed spells being the first indication.

...he eventually wore us down as we failed to keep up with his regeneration or healing. First to fall after 10 minutes or so real time with pauses after each spell etc was Anomen, then Edwin. The rest of us retreated but as my spellbook emptied Sarevok was forced to run. Imoen was held so we couldn't escape and Demogorgon had clawed himself back to barely injured. Demogorgon knew we were fnargled, and so did we. "Try again godling" he taunted.
Reload
Missing my usual GWW fighters here, and hindsight view of attempt 2 is I should have filled appropriate spell levels with big hitter spells to overcome damage resistance. Say, wiltings, implosion, bolt of glory, flame strike, holy smite.
Improved Demogorgon 2
I suggest Anomen switch his weapons, leading with Crom (+5) instead of the rune hammer (+4), and I take back the AoPower leaving him open to level drains but making my IAlacrity much more effective against Demogorgon healing. As our contingencies release I use IAlacrity to unload sequencers then my spellbook. My final spells are to summon a replacement planetar then two wilting dweomers (1 works, the other summons birds).
Edwin casts his first IAlacrity and drops a series of wiltings while I continue with de-buffs. Anomen is hitting Demogorgon hard, Sarevok less so and Viconia uses her one BoGlory and a WotHeavens. It's enough to do the job though.

The battle isn't over particularly as the above screenshot kept me away from the unpaused game until I could save it - frothing mouth time as Sarevok is poisoned then healed by the planetar before I regain control.
The second planetar has died but Edwin is moments away from his second IAlacrity. I've pulled down the one-legged pants (de-buffed) of a marilith and Anomen/Sarevok quickly finish it off as a third planetar arrives.

Edwin pulls the one-legged pants down on the next marilith and Anomen/Sarevok set to work.

Sarevok takes the marilith, Anomen a Balor and Viconia the cambion. Job done (1 all then Demogorgon, call it a draw!)
Anomen, Fighter 7 > Cleric (*) 33. 995 kills, Saladrax.
Viconia, Cleric (*) 29. 399 kills, Firkraag.
Verun, Wild Mage 23. 356 kills, Bodhi.
Edwin, Conjurer 23. 273 kills, Thaxll'ssillyia.
Imoen, Mage 14 (Thief 22). 267 kills, Shangalar.
Sarevok, Thief 18 (Fighter 18). 32 kills, Tahazzar.
Reloads 4 (skulltrap in Unseeing Eye pit, Adalon, wild surge: Petrify self, Improved Demogorgon).
* - As usual in my game, high level clerics have a class description of "No, I'm sorry. None of them sound familiar" thanks to repeated use of Archons.

Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin, Anomen and Sarevok.
The Oasis
Overwhelming odds. Summon an air elemental, earth elemental prince, aerial servant, skeleton warrior and stone golem. I run through IAlacrity, and Edwin starts his before our enemies are defeated.
A quick shop raises almost 200,000gp and triples our funds. Edwin wants to hold on to it, fearful that I might vamoosh it again.
Amkethran
Vongoethe falls to our contingencies and my spell trigger, Edwin claiming the kill.
Sendai's Enclave
Viconia raises Imoen and warns her to stay away from elder orbs. As we discover the deception of the woodsman Sarevok emits a great roar of elation. Why? Read-on...
Sarevok regains his fighter abilities
Before we know it he is rummaging through our equipment and woe betide any who stand in his way. The woodsman is his first victim and I promote him to front-man. Partly because we can all cast safely behind him, but mainly to annoy Anomen.

I can see it now Corey - Melissan vs squirrels everywhere. Read on for a sneak preview.
Verun, NE male human wild mage. With Stenky the imp familiar, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin, Anomen and Sarevok.
General equipment notes
Sarevok has the white dragon armour. Full protection & thieving.
Imoen takes the golem book and berserk warrior horn as Edwin spends all day casting and she usually runs out of things to do level 15 vs level 24, not much chance of activating her thief skills at this rate but no great loss other than not getting the Aslyferund chain I guess.
Melee weapon re-selection
Sarevok has Blackrazor / The Answerer. Plus a bow & 6 more swords to hand. More swords later...
Anomen has Runehammer +5 / Crom Faeyr. Two shields at the ready.
Ranged weapon re-selection
Viconia has the Sling of Seeking. FoA +5 / iMoDestruction / Storm Star +5 when needed.
Imoen takes the Crimson Dart and will make more use of it than Edwin did.
Minimal ranged weapon re-selection
Edwin has 5 bullets a day with the Erinne Sling +5. We gift him 80 spares (n.b. he used 17 bullets this session).
I stick with the Fire Tooth throwing dagger.
Sendai's lair
A traps springs as we enter, no chance to avoid it as nobody moved. Sarevok saves against whatever the effect was. We all have chaotic commands cast, Sarevok gets Aid while Anomen uses RMagic and AoFaith. After Haste, RFear and Bless we set to work.
Spore colonies and umber hulks are first. Edwin wilts as Imoen cloudkills and we are free to continue. Sarevok draws more umber hulks and various spiders into the cloudkill and the area is soon ours.
Barracks
We fail to notice a drow kensai called Thelynn'ss GWWind, Sarevok falling before we realise yes it was fast but wakey wakey this is TOB and you have to be more alert than that. Anomen is whining that he is a better front-man until I point out the kensai would have started with him instead. It can be arranged if I can cast the right dweomer...

Anomen decides to circle around rather than become the next GWW target. I try WotBanshee but only one drow succumbs and I step back with Viconia stepping in to block a second drow and flail mows it to the ground. Edwin and I quickly decide WotBanshee saves & no half measures are bad news so DBreath or better yet Comet should be memorised instead so long since I did a high level mage run I can't remember this sort of stuff - taking time reviewing the combat log is very worthwhile for me.
With her job done Viconia steps back to sling Thelynn'ss. Edwin has sent a dark planetar in to play with the kensai, and Anomen moves in too. I try a FoDeath before they start but the magic resistance is too high.
The drow are unable to hit the planetar. Rather than watch from a distance Anomen insists on helping by picking on any casters. Viconia has summoned Zaaman Rul, fire elemental prince so the remaining enemies are diced, sliced, chopped, ground, wilted and sizzled in no time. The planetar raises and heals Sarevok who suggests we plane rest and review our spells. Good idea.
The North Tunnels
Based on the last encounter we play it safe. Chaotic commands and death ward for all, with Anomen and Sarevok getting additional buffs. As soon as we enter the tunnels we are beseiged by slaves and our contingencies trigger.
I order fireshields up and turn us invisible. Sarevok and Anomen break cover to attack as Edwin summons a planetar. We ignore enemies and coax the planetar along until we reach the end of the tunnel and attack the slavemaster. I start with greater malison oops wild colour changes level 24 and a bigger liability than ever.
Viconia tries a newly memorised spell. An umber hulk elder finds out hitting Anomen is equally as painful for it, then Anomen uses one blow to crush the remaining life from the Slavemaster.

Imoen casts malison for me as Anomen returns to melee the nearest orogs. Sarevok has an umber hulk elder by the throat, using the offhand Answerer to eliminate it. He turns to the next one, determined to retain his leading man position.
I cast comet to help and the resulting meteor swarm turns the planetar hostile. A wild surge? No, just a poor spell selection. I tidy up my spellbook a bit more, leaving Sarevok inside the meteor area with an immortal on his back. At least he's dropped the remaining umber hulk elder before the planetar reaches him.
Anomen has one last Derro to remove before he can help so Edwin and I decide to remove anything else near Sarevok.

Sarevok is dismissive of our help and demonstrates a telling offhand Answerer strike with his next blow.

Anomen and Sarevok work their way back through the tunnel killing any remaining enemies while the rest of us stare at the meteor storm. They load up on loot in case we need funds (say after a surged vamoosh where's my gold).
Sarevok suggests we plane rest, reviewing spells again then head into the South Tunnels so whatever is there doesn't sneak up on us later. Hey, who's in charge here?
Our contingencies are wasted as umber hulks and drow have spawned at the entrance. Never mind, more loot and we head inside without the benefit of contingencies. Sarevok is wounded but I tell him a true front-man would tough it out. Viconia casts Aid on him as Anomen buffs himself properly then Edwin hastes us.
The South Tunnels
Spiders and more spiders! Anomen already has the ring of Gaxx, and Sarevok has a ring of anti-venom handy. Sarevok and Anomen quickly round up all the spiders including Lashar'ra, then the six of us do our dance. I start with comet, in the safe knowledge I have the right spell. Oh nuts.

Sarevok is the main target so moves as Edwin casts DBreath and Imoen casts GMalison.

Anomen has stopped Lashar'ra so herds the remaining spiders while Sarevok repositions. Yes, yes, you're the front-man Anomen enjoy it while it lasts. I wilt the remaining spiders into submission.

Sarevok gamely removes a bundle of traps as we clear the remaining areas of the tunnel.
Internal walkway
Sarevok has a sneak around. Drow and umber hulks, with a lich lair. Our buffs will give Sarevok time to heal further. Two skeleton warriors, an aerial servant, an AElemental plus Sunnis EEPrince and a dark planetar shall accompany us. We fight our way round the walkway and loot our way back.
Everyone is fatigued but I refuse to rest before dealing with the lich. There are objections but our bags and containers are struggling to hold the dropped loot so any more spawning drow will be overkill. Besides, our death wards are up so what could go wrong?
Odamaron
Sarevok detects two traps while we summon a pair of servants and a planetar. The planetar attacks so we pull it back until the traps are sorted, then we attack. Sarevok has Foebane with Blackrazor offhand, Anomen has Runhammer +5 with Crom Faeyr offhand and Viconia the iMoDestruction +2 with Storm Star +5 offhand. Imoen, Edwin and I will be casting spells if we have time.
I cast IAlacrity but his timestop means it is wasted grrr. I have also sprung another trap so Sarevok returns to check the area as Anomen and Viconia attack. Edwin casts Spellstrike then starts IAlacrity.
Odamaron springs a trap and fires two contingencies. Imoen moves in with truesight active as Anomen starts to cast his truesight. Sarevok locates the trap and deals with it as I cast PMagic. He adds his sword to the battle again.
Edwin gets his alacrity working, adding another PMagic. Anomen has his truesight up so continues his melee. Imoen stands idle with truesight as her weapons and spells are no good here.
My FoD does some damage but Edwin achieves more with a wilting. We have our spell of choice but he unwisely adds another PMagic while I finish with a wilt.

A few umber hulks are killed and we plane rest before seeking out Diaytha.
Question for the knowledgable
The party melee was stopped by PfmWeapons. Breach would normally handle this but is not effective against a demi-lich? The higher de-buffs I have focus on removing spell resistances and don't appear to remove weapon resistances. Am I missing something really obvious or am I best to retreat and add summons/spells when this happens?
Sarevok, Fighter 18 > Thief 20. 70 kills, Tahazzar.
Anomen, Fighter 7 > Cleric 34. 1046 kills, Saladrax.
Verun, Wild Mage 24. 392 kills, Bodhi.
Edwin, Conjurer 24. 289 kills, Thaxll'ssillyia.
Imoen, Mage 15 (Thief 22). 290 kills, Shangalar.
Viconia, Cleric 31. 418 kills, Firkraag.

Gate70: Viconia is a level 31 caster. If she used dispel magic (level 3 spell) she would have a great chance of dispelling the breach. Remember dispel magic is the one exception to the immune to level 5 spells or lower rule for liches. Dispelling arrows also could work.

Thanks for that Corey. If one or both of those work life should be a lot easier. Any reason why Viconia at 31 when Anomen is at 34.
