_____
On the way to the Keep, there's another ambush. Tristyueld & Nalia went invisible, and I kept her to the side and soloed the battle. There's wasn't much that was different this time; Tristy lost against the mage's Remove Magic, but an invisibility potion took care of that. O/w it was just buff --> decloak with Sunfire or ST --> refresh Mirror Images as needed. The mage's MGoI still buggily blocks Sunfire, but my buffs took long enough to cast that her MGoI was down shortly after I decloaked.

In the Keep, Tristy rested a total of 4 times (3 before Torgal), but did so invisibly so it wasn't too unjustified. Scouting invisibly let me ambush most trolls rather than vice versa. The yuan-ti mage battle was fine (I've definitely had problems here in the past with a variety of spell books, particularly when the yuan-ti has Cone of Cold, which it didn't this time). The yuan-ti cast TeleField and Animate Dead, which raised two skeletons and which let Tristy know he was dealing with a mage he could probably handle. I invisibly waited out his MGoI since with the bug I didn't have any way of hurting him, but once it expired, it was a standard battle except he had some spell protection spell (minor spell deflection?) that blocked my MMMs, so I had to cast Magic Missile once or twice to take it down.

Against the umberhulks, Tristy used the dog stew to distract them and take them on later. Against Torgal, I RPed it by scouting invisibly, though it turned out he could smell poor, unwashed Tristy. Tristy cast DimDoor to escape nearer the entrance to the basement, and then buffed (with other solo books, I've cast Haste here and buffed on the run). Heading back, Tristy found them right on the other side of the door, so I cast PfMW and used Sunfires and STs.

To kill the umberhulks, after resting upstairs, Tristy used a potion of clarity before attacking since there's no metagaming problem here (he knew they were down in the basement). For the golems, what I usually do is Haste+MGoI (to counter their Slow)+MMMs, but since my spellbook was low on level-3 spells and I didn't want to rest again, after I killed only some of them, I grabbed the items and used invisibility to elude the awakened golems. Nalia dominated Glaicus, which freed him and finished all the tasks for the quest.
With that, Tristy declined her offer to travel with him. (I kind of hate doing that since I find her story so sad - it's really misogynistic that she's in that position, but at least it spares me that one line of hers everyone knows and hates.) Heading back to Athkatla, he arrived at the Promenade at night and came across some thieves talking to a vampire. The vamp flees and the thieves attack, and they were easy enough to quell. With the quest's cash and loot, Tristy made 23,126gp, but since I roleplay it as though Nalia let me take the items and gold in order to keep it out of the Roenalls' grubby hands, in order to keep a reciprocal promise to her, Tristy donates 50% to Ilmater, for a painful 11,563gp donation.
Right before Tristy donated, though, Valen talked to him since he was passed the 35,000gp milestone, and he went to the Graveyard District to talk to Bodhi before the donation so I wouldn't have to deal with the spendthrift accusation. That triggered the teddy-bear and kidnapper quests, which are up next.
