First Update of the day for Kalyinara. A switch in party happened as well.

Kalyinara led her group outside of the City of Coin to the town of Trademeet. Trademeet was having some...difficulties with the local druids. Upon arriving at Trademeet, Kalyinara and her group went to Lord Corprith's house, to find out more about the situation. Once learning more about the situation, Kalyinara was asked to escort a druid named Cernd. However, Kalyinara told Cernd to go to the druid grove. Kalyinara, also, met a man named Faren, decided to pay his bail, and have him join the party. (Haldamir went back to the Vale of Seven Dens. At least I think thats what the inn is called. Also, no more jedi mind tricks from Xan since I didn't take Cernd into the group.)
Posted Image
Posted Image

Upon entering the druid grove, Kalyinara and her group came upon the evil elves, that wanted to poison human cities, and a druid. Kalyinara's group killed the elves, and spoke to the druid.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Deeper into the grove, the group met some more druids, and killed them.
Posted Image
Posted Image

There was an old woman in a cottage in the druid grove. Kalyinara thought that it was very...peculiar, but didn't pry deeper into it.
Posted Image

The group met up with Cernd, and told him what they knew about the Shadow Druids that took over, and their leader Faldorn.
Posted Image

Kalyinara, and her group, came across another set of druids, and killed them. Kalyinara entered the main complex, and spoke with Faldorn. Then, challenged Faldorn, and killed her. (This is where I curse the Multiple Strongholds.) Kalyinara refused to become the leader of the grove.

@Sapphire, I'm curious how you defeated Faldorn. Since I'm usually playing a Wiz or Sorc, I always just knock her out with Emotion and finish her off with Magic Missiles - it's easy.

What does a cleric do?

I look forward to seeing whether you decide to finish the module and take on the Rakshasa or save that part of the module for later.

@Belgarath - Well, I try to use all of my damaging spells first, but seeing as Kalyinara is more or less a healer with very little offensive spells. I used Silence 15' Radius, and then I had to use Kalyinara's innate ability of Spiritual Weapon: Longsword - 'Sahandrian', and start whacking Faldorn with it. Oh, and using heal spells/potions whenever Kalyinara's health got too low.

Heres the Stats on Sahandrian.
- Spiritual Weapon: Longsword - 'Sahandrian' once per day
Sahandrian is the spiritual weapon of Feywardens of Corellon, and is wielded as if the caster had grand mastery in the weapon. Sahandrian is a regular weapon at levels 1-5, +1 at levels 6-10, +2 at 11-15, +3 at 16-20, +4 at 21-25, and +5 at levels 26 and above. The spiritual weapon lasts for one round per level of the caster, up to 20 rounds.

On another note: Its Update Time.

After defeating Faldorn, and saying no to being the leader of the Druid Grove, Kalyinara told High Merchant Corprith that she had dealt with the Shadow Druids. Then he sent her to deal with the Dao djinn. Kalyinara spoke to the Dao Djinn, and decided to go on a Rakshasa hunt. She killed the Rakshasa, and returned the head to the Dao Djinn, which made the Dao Djinn leave.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Kalyinara returned to High Merchant Corprith, and told him that the Dao Djinn were gone. He held a celebration in Kalyinara's name and her, and the group their own statues. Which Faren was impressed with. Kalyinara met Lady Lurraxol, and Lord Alibakkar.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Upon going to Lady Lurraxol's house, Kalyinara met another familar face, Elminster! She said that she would investigate the Fishing town of Porthpentyrch.(Fishing for Trouble Quest.)
Posted Image

Kalyinara entered Lady Lurraxol's house, and spoke with her. Xan wondered why were even helping them in the first place. Kalyinara went to the tomb, and cleared out the undead. Then she gave the artifact to the High Merchant.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Lastly, we got Xan's Robe of Archmagi back. Not that he needs it. He as the Robe of Vecna. (Why couldn't he have used his Jedi Mind tricks to save me from spending 5k GP.)

Kalyinara - Feywarden of Corellon - 10
Jaheira - Fighter/Totemic Druid - 9/9
Xan - Fighter/Mage - 9/10
Yoshimo - Bounty Hunter - 13
Faren- Fighter -> Thief - 7 -> 13

Note: May go to Umar Hills next.

Great story, Sapphire!

An update on Todd the Sorcerer:

BTW- this run I'm in now probably qualifies for a "Trapped in Faerun" run, because I always do what that thread says anyway. I wouldn't have fun playing if I didn't.

*************

We risked resting because we were all exhausted. You lose all sense of time down here in this cursed magical nightmare Bodhi has trapped us in. I think we're two or three stories underground..... I think. I am more and more grateful that I used my last teleport stone to send Imoen back to the safety of the Copper Coronet in Athkatla... I think that Irenicus' "kind ministrations" have done something to her mind. She needed to get out of here and to a place where she could be safe again. I feel terrible that it has taken us this long to rescue her.

Maybe I should have not secured my place in Amn and secured all that territory before coming here, but... well, we were all so weak after being tortured by Irry. We needed to recover, secure some wealth... and gods, the people we met in Amn seemed so desperate... I still remember meeting Nalia for the first time... As my old friend Gavin used to say "so many people to help, and so little time...  gods, I miss him. I heard he was actually in the area looking for his daughter. Maybe I should look him up and see if he needs any help after this is finally over.

So, we started exploring every nook and cranny on this floor like we always do. Faren would never forgive me if I didn't let him find every last copper's worth of valuable items in this place. We used our usual strategy for dungeons - Faren scouts ahead, disarms the traps (so many traps! We'd all be dead 1000 times by now without my guy's preternatural trap sense. I swear, I don't know how he sees all those pressure plates and small holes in the wall and heavy objects ready to drop out of the ceilings and spell glyphs ready to fire, much less how to disarm them!)

Then, Faren shouts out a taunt or two when he sees a monster, and runs back to the rest of us, usually getting off a few shots with his magic bow along the way. Jaheira, Keldorn, and Ano then make short work of pretty much anything as soon as Faren leads them into our ambush. Aerie and I stand back and don't do much. <sigh>, I feel like she and I are pretty useless most of the time, but when they need us, they need us really bad.

Why Faren says he loves me, I do not know. You'd think he'd be disgusted by overweight, out-of-shape, bookish me! (Thank you, Sune! I am so grateful!)

Faren got stuck in an especially bad trapped room which released a horde of umberhulks on him and got himself killed! Why didn't the fool draw Lilarcor so they couldn't confuse him! Oh well, I guess hindsight is 20/20, and I have no right to criticize. Here's a magic image of the killer room after the rest of us finally got in there, killed the umberhulks, and Aerie Raised him and Healed him:

Posted Image

We kept exploring and solving puzzle locks and getting closer to the exit, I hope.

But then, Bodhi apparently got tired of our cautious and slow advancement through her little game, teleported in, and attacked! With Keldorn, Jaheira, and Ano on our side, we have little to fear from the likes of Bodhi, but something about how she seemed to be focusing on Faren made me get awfully mad....

and I don't remember much after that except blinding rage. I awoke on the ground, sweating and feeling panicky, and my friends informed me that I had transformed into a monster and nearly killed everybody! They avoided hurting me by scattering and letting me chase Ano around...

etc. etc........ I don't guess I'll keep doing full narrative like this because I'm not sure anybody wants to read it. I promise I'll do shorter posts and updates from now on.

We finished the level, and now we're leaving to go to what I really hope is the final level of this gods-awful place...

One more update from Todd the Sorcerer tonight:

We escaped from Spellhold! Praise Oghma!

We did indeed make it upstairs back into the asylum! That alone was enough to lift our spirits! Flush with a feeling of imminent release from this hellhole, we ran into an interesting character named Saemon Haeverian. He told us that Irenicus was waiting and ready for us, and that we had no chance unless we freed all the inmates in the asylum and set them against Irry. My feelings told me to trust him, so I went with his plan.

Once we got to Irry, things got quite interesting. His strategy was to create copies of my entire party and me, and then he did something, I don't know what, that totally whacked out my divination sense that I've been using since I quantum-leaped into this crazy world! I've always, since I got here, been able to somehow know every move that's been made by my friends, and to shout out orders and lead them in strategies that have always guaranteed our success in every combat. (actions window)

It looks like he was trying to fool me into ordering something really stupid and have my party members start attacking, not only each other, but also our new-found inmate allies! He made my Sight keep telling me that the inmates were attacking us, when they were really attacking him!

Well, Irry, if that's the best you can do, you're never going to get the best of me! I saw through his ploy almost immediately, and from there, he was doomed. Or so I thought, anyways.

Right when I thought we had him at last, he pullled a thrice-damned Dimension Door and escaped! Gods-darn-it!

It seems that Irry knows the secret to the "Ultimate Spell", as I call it! Back on Earth (wow, it's been so long I'm surprised I remember the name of my own planet!), there was a tv show called "Bewitched", where the witch characters could teleport pretty much anywhere in their known world at will. It seems that the same thing is possible in my new home, but I'm darned if I can figure out the secret!

All the texts I've studied talk about a thing called "Shadow Door", and I think I see a way to use the raw power that I apparently have as an earthling on this world to do that, at least eventually, but it's just a stinking illusion! Any competent inquisitor or priest or mage from this world can dispel it easily. I MUST find the secret that Irry apparently knows!

Well shoot, I can feel the mania rising. My friends just don't understand. An earthling in this world feels so much POWER that... <sigh>, I really have to stop thinking like that. It escalates the mania...

Yesterday when I lost control, I actually killed Aerie! Gods-darn-it, I had this mania thing licked on my original world, I ought to be able to lick it here! Thank the gods that Ano had one backup Raise that he had prayed for from Helm.!

....err, hookay. I know I tend to ramble and that I promised that these journal entries would get shorter...so sue me... I like to tell my story, and I guess I love the sound of my own voice, a little too much in this world, maybe.

<note to self> I wonder whether Bhaal's spirit might not somehow be what quantum-leaped me here in the first place? (LOL - gods, if only people of this world actually knew who and what their 'gods' really were! But they (the "gods") have proven themselves and their various motivations to me over and over since I got here.)

If I finally get through this, will I be quantum-leaped back home? I actually hope not. I like it here better than I liked things in my life on Earth. It's certainly a lot harder, but dang, the feeling of channeling magic energy... it's like every drunken buzz I've ever experienced magnified by twenty! (I seem to have developed an affinity and special relationship with Oghma since I got here - he seems kind and seems to like me, so maybe he will see to my happiness in this world if I can solve the Bhaal debacle for him and his friends....)

So, Saemen led us back to the port town and promised us that he could get us back to the mainland.

...the adventure continues tomorrow... :)

@Belgarath - I love that you put yourself into your story, and wrote it in your own point of view. I wish I could do that, but I prefer writing in third person. However, if I do the "Trapped in Faerun" Challenge. Then, I'm definately going to have to write in First Person. Also, Irry. Best. Nickname. Ever. For Irenicus.

In the mean time though. Last update for the night, maybe. Its all about Umar Hills!

After retrieving Xan's Robe of Archmagi, Kalyinara led her group to Umar Hills. (I do believe that Faren suggested it, since it didn't show up on the map until I got him in the party.) Kalyinara, and her group overheard the Minister's speech. Then, she went to the Minister's House, and spoke to him. The Minister assumes that a creature named Madulf is responsible for the murders.
Posted Image
Posted Image

On the way to talk with Madulf, and perhaps kill him, the group came upon a young man named Daar. Daar was a love sick fellow. He couldn't be with his true love, Colette. So Kalyinara, and her group went into the house, and spoke with Colette's father, and ended up accepting the task of getting a mimic's blood for a golem.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Then, the group talked to Madulf, and spared him from death. Mainly because, he couldn't have killed those poor villagers. Kalyinara made a promise to speak with the Minister. Also, the group entered a cave and killed the mimic. (Or rather, Xan petrified it with a Chromatic Orb, and it just got chunked right after.) Then, the group went back to Jermien, and gave him the mimic blood. However, the Golem came to life and tried to kill him, but to no avail since Kalyinara and her group quickly jumped onto the Golem. Also, Happily ever after for Colette, and Daar.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Kalyinara spoke to the Minister again, and he said that he would go negotiate peace with Madulf.
Posted Image

Then, Kalyinara explored the Ranger's Cabin, and went to the temple ruins. An old friend of Jaheira's showed up, and Jaheira renounced the fact that she was a Harper. Then a wolfwere showed up saying that Kalyinara would not steal its revenge. So, Kalyinara went to go talk to the wolfwere, and joined forces with it.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

However, The wolfwere did not make it. So Kalyinara promised to get revenge for her. Upon entering the temple, Kalyinara found many items, and monsters. She even met a Halfling lass named Mazzy Fentan. Kalyinara sent Mazzy back to her home in Trademeet.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Kalyinara found some ghosts, and gave a baby's skeleton to them, and got a reward for it.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Then, Kalyinara talked to a shadow, and killed it. Even further, Kalyinara met the Shade Lord, and killed him, and his blasted Altar. However, the shadow lord was really the ranger protector of Umar Hills.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Kalyinara returned to the Minister, and got a piece of armor, and Kivan accepted the honor of being Ranger Protector for Kalyinara. (Good job, Kivs. Not Awesome.)

@Sapphire, congrats on completing the Umar Hills module (unless you accept the Ranger stronghold- I advise against doing so, because it has timed missions in it that are very distracting and you will fail if the timer-start-messenger misses you for some reason)

Yeah, you will have to come back for Valygar, eventually, unless you want to ignore the Planar Sphere, and if you fall in love with with somebody you may seek out that temple again, and if you get off on dragon-hunting.... well, yeah.

I love that you are starting to reveal Kalyinara's inner life and thoughts. Remember, "one Word is worth a thousand pictures".

If you keep encouraging me, I may keep writing my own "novel". There may be no more than one person in the whole world who will ever read it, or do more than scan over it impatiently, but you alone are worth all my story-telling skill if you enjoy it and we wind up encouraging each other.

Remember that self-esteem thing I hinted at in the "Trapped" thread, in relation to that psychological test? If you believe in yourself in real life, you get, I would say, a good +3 or +4 to your favored stats in real life.

Thank you! Kivan accepted the Ranger Stronghold for me. Not cool, Kivan. Not cool.

I doubt I'm going to go talk to Valygar. Also, Kalyinara is very madly in love with Xan, and bonded with him, but I don't reveal that to people. Since, Kalyinara has her own secrets to keep. Also, I'd spoil what happens with Xan when you go after Bodhi after spellhold, but its a huge spoiler on the bond path.

Agreed on that one. Sometimes when I write, it makes me want to change my major to writing, or teaching.

Ahh, I do have a hard time believing in myself sometimes, and others I'm just fully confident in myself and my abilities.

Also, attempting to do spaced out quotes is fun.

@Sapphire, ah, are we playing with each other in a game to avoid spoiling our "novels" based on metagame knowledge? So be it, then.

I would advise you to take the English education track, develop your writing ability as far as you can take it, take your shot at getting published in a manner that actually makes a living for you, and then fall back on that teaching license if your shot-at-fame-and-wealth falls short. And I hope you like young people and kids. And parents. Or can at least tolerate them.

And I need some kind of techno tutorial about how to space forum quotes, but I think we'd better not go into that in this thread, because we are risking getting taken to task by a mod-cop or one of the no-reload masters in here for getting off-topic in our own thread. (Come on, officer, can ya' really arrest the guy for communicatin' with people in his own, he's-the-OP thread?)

VERY quick update, as I'm too tired to journalize right now.

I finished the Sahuagin City, allied with the prince, overthrew the mad king, descended to the Underdark.

Talked to svirfneblin traders, found two elemental portals (which I could not shut down and kept spitting out elementals). Left the portals behind to make them stop spewing elementals. Probably have something to do with the Imrpisoned mage we need to find.

Fought a party of drow guarding a set of Imprisonment "faucets" with valves, opened all the valves. Fought a Githyanki, a Mage and a Lich. Lich was hardest. I learned why Pierce Magic is important (the Lich had Spell Immunity:Abjuration and my Breaches wouldn't work, needed the Pierce Magic, which is exempt from the Spell Immunity, to break the Spell Immunity. Then I could have Breached.)

We all would have died against the Lich, but for Keldorn's barrage of True Sights and Dispels, and what actually got it before it got to its worst stuff was that it failed a save against Azuredge. Lich: Instant Undead Death.

Also freed an innocent halfling, who was grateful. The fear that somebody like him was in there was the reason I kept turning valves. (One at a time, of course.) But I hate Imprisonment so much, and consider it so hiddeously evil, that I don't even think a Lich deserves that. I probably would have let them all out anyway to euthanize them if nothing else.

Sent Keldorn and Faren using Lilarcor to deal with a Myconid cave; while they were gone, an Illithid came out of nowhere and attacked the other four of us! Jaheira got stunned, brain eaten, dead. Aerie was stunned. Just Ano and I were left. Screamed for Keldorn and Faren. They got there in time, barely. Aerie raised Jaheira.

We went back to the Svirfneblin (or were they Duergar?), and rested.

End of session.

No reloads today. Total reload counter: 3

I'm still going at 14th level Sorc. Seems like I've been there forever!

Liches are immune to spells of 5th level or below (Dispel and Remove Magic are exempt), which is why Breach doesn't work on them. In the unmodded game SI:A doesn't block Breach in the same way it doesn't block Pierce Magic and similar spells.

Touch, hmm, interesting. So what did I need to cast to make his PfMW go away?

And I honestly didn't know about that Innate Spell Immunity.

I couldn't have done anything to it then. I'm a sorc and I only have Contingency and Prot from Magical Energy for sixth level spells.  I'm starting to think that Contingency was a mistake.

Aerie's got one 6th level spell slot. What should she put in it?

@Belgarath:
You "shut down" the portals by keep killing the elementals that come out. Eventually they run out if you are successful, you just gained a ton of experience (note: you need +2 weapons to hit, so your casters may have to melee if they didn't have any +2 ranged ammo). If parts of the party couldnt kill them that could really whittle down your resources healing yourself.

You say Aerie got a 6th spell but you didn't say Mage or Cleric. For offense for Cleric, they got a lot of good choices - bolt of glory (bypasses magic resistance) or Ariel Servant. For mage not sure off-hand.

@Belgarath - Yes! No spoiling what happens to Xan until it happens, and who knows what will happen with Kalyinara once that event happens.

Also, Liches are very difficult. I try to avoid battles with them because I know something bad may happen. Like someone getting Imprisonment cast on them, and I don't have a freedom scroll on me at the time.

Thanks for the advice/tips Void, and Corey!

As mentioned in the BG1 Minimal Reload Thread: I will be on vacation next week. So no updates next week.

Now, an update. I didn't do the Bridge District, or de'Arnise Hold. I went straight for the thief stronghold.

Kalyinara returned to the Temple of Lathander, where she was greeted by Lara, and the man she helped. It was a success. Kalyinara had done a great service to the temple. Then, her next assignment began.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Kalyinara headed towards the docks district, since Yoshimo would not stop bothering her to go there. Once there, Kalyinara led her group to the thieves guild, and spoke to Renal Bloodscalp. She decided to help Renal spy on Mae'var and eventually kill him. Then, she went to Mae'var's guild, and accepted the mission of stealing from the Weathermistress Ada, and succeeded in that task.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Mae'var sent Kalyinara to Edwin. Kalyinara was -not- thrilled to see Edwin again. Edwin sent Kalyinara to kill Rayric. Which she did, however, she wished that it ended differently. Then Edwin sent Kalyinara to get documents, which she did that too. However, Jaheira's past crept upon them again, and Jaheira got cursed.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Edwin sent Kalyinara back to Mae'var. Mae'var said that Kalyinara should kill a man named Embarl. However, feeling guilty about killing Rayric. Kalyinara spared Embarl and returned this cloak and dagger to Mae'var. Mae'var sent Kalyinara back to Edwin. Edwin had caught onto the plan and gave Kalyinara the Key to Mae'var's strongbox.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Kalyinara returned to Renal with the incriminating evidence that he needed. Renal asked Kalyinara to kill Mae'var. Which she did kill Mae'var, and she ended up getting her own thieves guild. Also, freed Kamazu.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Kalyinara was confronted by Valen, and Brus again. Since she had about 60k GP. Kalyinara also defeated some vampires that were near her guild.

@SapphireIce101: Did you purposely choose to leave out the "donation" to a temple of your choice rule when you reload your PC?

So, after reloading and starting again to either finish the fight or go back and regroup, your party would go to the temple of the players choice and donate the amount that your PC at that time would have to pay if they were raised. This simulates that the remainder of the party had chosen to "raise" their comrad from the Party's funds. If you needed two reloads you'd donate double the amount.

@CKT - I took it out because it was obsolete in the sense that, if you have a high enough level cleric they could just use Raise dead on you, or if you have Jaheira, she could use her Harper's Call(Therefore, free resurrection.) and bring you back that way. However, I will reinstate that rule if you think we still need it. Oh, and theres that rod of ressurection, but I don't think I would want to go into detail with that.

Edit: Added Rod of Ressurection.

Good work on getting some business done in Athkatla, Sapphire.

Kalyinara seems to really be toeing the moral line for a good cleric, isn't she? She sure does seem to accept assassination contracts without blinking.

To clarify from earlier, Aerie has two 6th level cleric spells and one 6th level mage spell in my game. I was asking for advice about what 6th level mage spells can do anything to a lich, but advice with cleric spells would help me too.

Would a Bolt of Glory have hurt the lich? He had all kinds of Spell Turning and "Ha, Ha, That Tickles" spell protections going. And every time Keldorn Dispelled, the lich came back with a new Contingency or a new Spell Trigger with PfMW and a dozen new spell protections in it.

Also, one thing I am thinking about doing is finding a set of normal weapons for every party member. That way, they can maybe hurt the lich and disrupt some spells while Keldorn and I are trying to get all the "I'm Invulnerable" spells out of our way.

Would that have helped?

I took it out because it was obsolete in the sense that, if you have a high enough level cleric they could just use Raise dead on you, or if you have Jaheira, she could use her Harper's Call(Therefore, free resurrection.) and bring you back that way. However, I will reinstate that rule if you think we still need it. Oh, and theres that rod of ressurection, but I don't think I would want to go into detail with that.

Nope. That makes sense. Leave as is I'd say except if you don't have a Cleric although I usually have both Anomen and Jaheira.

Darn.  Thought I had this quoting thing down but obviously not so.

You are correct. You would have to take down the spell turning before trying bolt of glory. Most people use either spell thrust (4th level mage spell) or pierce magic (6th level mage spell) for that. Keldorn dispelling works too. Yes using normal weapons when lich has protectio from magic weapons works - note that you might not see any messages at first because you would have to get through his stoneskins first.

Thanks! Its always good to get something done.

I think Kalyinara is more chaotic than she is good. (Yay for being Chaotic Good! Haha!)

Since I have Divine Remix on, my spells are a wee bit different. Specifically, Kalyinara doesn't have all the level 6 spells that Aerie does, and Kalyinara is like the first cleric I have played in a while. So, I'm not sure a Bolt of Glory would have hurt the Lich or not.

Also, whats your thought on the resurrection rule above? I figure if I get enough people saying that they want it back, then it will come back.

An update on Kalyinara.

Kalyinara led the group back to the Copper Coronet to talk to Bernard about Belgrade. Kalyinara did not want to lose Jaheira like she lost Gorion, Khalid, and Imoen. She refused to lose Jaheira, too! However, Bernard had said that Belgrade was dead. So it all started to look bleak for Jaheira.

After that, Kalyinara led her group to the Government District, hopefully to get some information about the robed men. However, She overheard the Prelate and The Chief Inspector talking about hiring her for a certain guild war problem. (Yay for Alternatives!) After overhearing that conversation, Kalyinara talked to Corneil, and tried to find out information about the robed men. However, he didn't know the answer. Kalyinara was about to lose Jaheira, and that didn't sit very well with her!
Lastly, Kalyinara told the Chief Inspector about killing the Elves from Elderth Veluuthra. Upon exiting the building, one of the robed men appeared, and offered his services! Kalyinara decided to buy them just to see the look on Ployer's face!

Upon nearing Ployer's House, a person from Faren's past showed up. However, instead of doing the task that was asked of them. Kalyinara killed the man, and saved both her, and Faren from future trouble.

Once inside of Ployer's House, Ployer started spouting about how Jaheira was going to grovel before him. However, once his mages showed up, he was dead! Then Kalyinara took Jaheira to an inn to rest so then the curse would be healed. Bernard also made a comment about Jaheria not being a harper anymore.

Kalyinara went back to the Temple of Lathander, and found that her other task was done. She had saved another soul, and did another great service to the church of Lathander.

After that, Kalyinara led her group to the West Government District. (Fishing for Trouble.) Dermin showed up again, to tell Jaheira of the deal, and that she would be an enemy of the Harpers if she did not take it. Jaheira said that she would think about it.

Kalyinara led her group to the Silverale Hall. Where a woman was asking for her Flamedance Ring back. So Kalyinara went to the Shadow Thieves and retrived the ring.

Upon exiting the thieves guild, Kalyinara was met with another offer to meet another person.
Posted Image

Kalyinara went to the Grave District to Meet Bodhi, however, Jaheira disappeared, and left a letter. The group did meet Bodhi, however, without Jaheira. They did not accept her offer. Then, they went to the Harper Hold and got Jaheira back. Then they talked to Gaelan, and decided to see the last person.

The group went to the Bridge District, where they found out that someone has been killing people, and decided that they may investigate it after talking to Lady Astor. They met with Lady Astor of the Order, and decided to accept her offer. They would do two tasks. The first one is to destroy the thieves guild, and who knows what the second one would be. Also, Lady Astor's Services were cheap. Kalyinara only had to pay 15K GP.

@Corey, Would Spell Thrust bypass a lich's Immunity to Fourth Level Spells? I think this one was tough because he had a LOT of Contingencies and Spell Triggers.

@CKT, don't worry, you'll get it. Somehow, you are carrying down that [\\quote ] command. It's got to be there at the end of all your typing. Next time, look at the end of your typed message. You should see it. The [/quote ] command should be at the end of THEIR typing. Your typing should be completely away from the commands.

On the off chance there is some kind of invisible formatting command on your screen, you could try pressing delete a few times after your last period.

You'll get the hang of it, and I always seem to have Jaheira, or another cleric in the group as well.

@Belgarath: Oops, no you are quite correct you have to use pierce magic. Only spells that aren't affected by Lich's immunity to level 5 spells and lower are remove magic or dispel magic. Which, actually you could use to try to remove his spell protections.
