Everybody is talking about how in DA2 the characters felt more alive when they had conversations with each other that Hawke wasn't necessarily a part of. While that is nice, I feel people are overlooking other great features the Dragon Age series had. For example, I love it when your NPC companions comment on your relationship with other characters, when they gossip about who you're with, who you've broken up with, that sort of stuff. I don't mean in just banter, but when they include you in the conversation itself and sometimes even includes a third party. For example: www.youtube.com/watch
www.youtube.com/watch

Since in ME3 you're starting with close friendships already in place, which may or may not include a LI, it seems that is the perfect time to include it. I felt kinda dissapointed in ME1 that after all of Ashley's talk against fraternization we never really had an issue and in ME2 where Garrus/Tali where they completely ignore the fact that Shepard may have had an LI in the first game and is cheating on him/her. I've always enjoyed how DAO made their characters interact not just with each other but with the Warden himself/herself, and found it a bit dissapointing the same care wasn't extended to ME2.

Maybe Ashley/Kaidan commenting on how you romanced both Liara and Tali, Garrus making jokes that you're sleeping with everyone on the ship, Joker expressing jealousy that he's stuck in the cockpit while Shepard has all the fun;)

I think it's somewhat implied that we will have this, since we've been promised extended party banter. Regardless, I support the idea.

Yay for extended banter!
For romantic themes I'd like to hear two ex-LIs taken on mission discussing the fate of current LI

I agree, that was always my biggest complaint about the ME series, basically that your squadmates are just cannonfodder and they really don't interact with Shep or anyone else (outside of direct player initiated dialgue) with Shep, especially those that have a history with Shep, they should make more comments about Shep's decisions/actions, if they really are as close to Shep as the game portrays then you would think they would feel comfortable enough to voice their opinions on his /her actions and not just follow him/her around like puppies.

That convo is funny stuff. I'd like to hear the squad's thoughts on FemShep and Garrus, or male Shep and Tali. Or maybe one of them could say "I don't like party member x," to which Shepard could respond "Hey, that's my best friend you're talking about."
