At least they're making the effort.
On Topic:
Personal connections with characters have always been a focus of Bioware games as far as I can gather.

Can wa have you as romance option too? You know... even disagreeing with you we're still not enough pathetic and in need to get a life [/sarcasm]
It's an optional feature that doesn't affect in any way the main storyline, and it's handled in a few dialogues and sequences. It's not like the romance mutilates or alter drastically the amount of more important gaming contents. Just don't play it and don't blame who prefers a different version of the story than yours for it.

Like it or not BioWare opened up the pandoras box of romances in games years ago. They became popular and thus it is expected that most BioWare games will have romances.
Nah, it's a slow experiment to see how much Priestly can take before he finally and irrevocably snaps.

The words are perfectly understandable. Your sentences make no coherent sense. The words you used don't go together in that order and I can't imagine what order they could possibly go in that order that is relevant to this thread.Inge Shepard wrote...

Also relevant, OP: Have you ever played a Bioware game? Other than ME?
Romance subplots have been a hallmark of their games for more than a decade.
Romance has always been central to BioWare games in general, but it is also optional. Very optional.

Look, I don't think that's what ME romances are for.
Why not, it's 18-year age limit on the game.

If the addition of romances hadn't been a success, I am sure that Bioware would have dropped them entirely from its development strategy.
On a sidenote, they don't detract from gameplay. The player is not required to "romance Liara" in order to unlock a certain area or get a "mission complete" message.
*shrug. If you don't like the romances, just don't take those dialogue options. Or try playing a different type of game that is more to your liking.

I wonder if folks could make a fan thread dedicated to eliminating any romances at all?

Dunno about any such thread, but in my worse playthrough that was one of my targets. Now I just need it in ME3 for Liara to be killable along with any new LIs and that Shepard's journey will be partially complete, the other part being to die having ensured the galaxy is well and truly frelled
OP, as others have said, romances have been part of Bioware games for like ages. Also as pointed out, you clearly can't understand English if you decided to create a topic disliking romances considering the post Mr Priestly made about such. Oh and Hanna Shepard isn't really your mother, if you think she is, perhaps you should find your nearest therapist so they can point out to you what is real and what isn't.

The commas make it worse, actually. It should be "Okay kids, you can continue alone now. Don't be afraid if someone dosen't agree with you. I guess your mother is close by."Inge Shepard wrote...

But anyway, yeah, romances are completely optional. I don't see why they should be such a problem as long as you just avoid them.

could someone please translate the OP for me
I think you lose IQ points for attempting the translation.
This is called for something like "to have an opinion about something". Something it obviously does not exist among you.
Having an opinion is fine, just be aware that your opinion is in the minority (I think). BioWare will do first what is practical and then what the majority of the consumers want. Romance in Mass Effect 3, or any of the Mass Effect games for that matter, is not forced upon you or required. I think it is safe to say having optional romances in the game does not take away anything from the game.
