Though FemShep should be on standard edition in front cover along side with Sheploo.
It would be fair.
I really don't see why some people don't like that.
Dang, my neighbor has more money then me. Thats not fair. I should be able to
just take some from him.
Hey, you don't happen to be rich do you?

That's not the same thing.

and clearly so do Bioware who have decided to market her in this capacity, which im still really happy about!
As CNN article on the previos page stated. Are there misconceptions about gamers?
http://edition.cnn.c....growth.divide/
If so Bioware is right in broadening there scope to attract other fans with a femshep trailer.

Yes, just the fact that the media has picked this up as a story has already created extra publicity for ME3 and the CE before any trailer has even come out yet. That's probably already a sales boost right there!

What didn't make sense to me is waiting until the third game to show in advertisements and the like that there is a female Shepard option.

As long as Bioware handles the marketing well, I really don't see a downside to showing a female Shepard in marketing. It just makes sense to me.

Yes. Exactly. I'm still finding women who play Fall Out 3, because they have th choice of playing female, who thought ME was the usual shooter with only one option, male. They haven't played other BW games and all they see is the advertising showing male Shepard.
But late is better than never.

So because they didn't see a girl on the cover they didn't look into it? Good. Better those people stay away.

"While the decision to integrate the fan-favourite female Shepard into the campaign is sure to resonate well with the series' loyal following, it is also goes some way to help EA's efforts to expand this audience and reach out to the mainstream."
Pretty much nailed it with the aim I guess. Keeps us fans happy and expands the target audience

Me =)
Having said that (not directed at you chibievil), it doesn't matter in therms of femshep and I've said this before.
Femshep doesn't just appeal to the female gamers among us, the assumption annoys me.

Shepard has a modifiable face no matter the sex in ME1 and ME2 and so will it be in ME3.
if you don't like it just change it....
imo a detail like that will have no impact at all on the game's quality.

THIS
It's like an activist movement. It's a game for crying out loud. What's next? A march in front of the Bioware office?

I'm one of those fans. One that thinks they should make her more DA2ish. I just find it crazy, that people get all bent out of shape of such things. I could care less what or who they put on the cover. If they change anything, let it be the fact that she doesn't move, look and talk like the brother I never had.
