And before anyone asks, no, I haven't modded any of them to get the Femshep/Miranda romance. That's just sad.

Femshep is on the cover that's good dont really care really
i do take issue with the article saying that she was "the Correct Way" to play the game
Thats some bull ****
To balance that out, this Escapist article insits manShep is canon, which he is not. Both articles are wrong in their assumptions.

That is interesting and cool, Femshep have a own website and etc... I agree, FemShep is better than MaleShep. I usually play female in games, most of my plays in Mass Effect are FemShep. I use to Hale, I known her since the Socom Franchise, she is amazing. MaleShep is Okays too I prefer female though, FemShep is better it be cool if you could customize into other species. XD

A generalization is either valid or invalid. Usually they are the latter.

I do not want her on my collectors edition..... I can't see Shep being anything other than a male. Sorry.
^ This. Replacing Mshep on the cover is like one of Laura's lakies being featured on her cover for Tomb Raider and expecting people who've seen the ads for TR in the past to pick it up. All it will do is confuses these people, " I thought TR was about a girl." Same with ME, " I thought ME had protagonist was a guy." She could be featured on the inside book but not on the main cover. I hope its a variant like comic books have buy cover A with Mshep's cool art or buy cover B with fshep's cool art.
Seriously.... Bioware has portrayed Shepard as a Male from the beginning.... Up and changing that at the end is a kick in the nuts kinda. Why not save the female marketing for a new character in the ME universe....
You seem to have misunderstood that Sheploo is canon; as has been said so many times by the devs, the marketing Shepard is just the "default" Shepard and is not canon (there is no canon Shepard).
Shepard, from the beginning has been whatever you made him/her; the choice is yours. If there was a canon Shepard, then you wouldn't be able to do that, and you certainly wouldn't be able to make any choices in the game, since even if everyone played the Shepard with the same face and background, everyone's playthroughs would still ultimately conflict with each other, due to the differences in choices made.

I love how you always try to twist things. Stay classy.
I'm a Mass Effect fan, and saying there is any "correct" way to play the game is asinine.

All this attention is really getting to you isnt it greed. Noticed your threads title update too. "Only Man that can save the Galaxy"... well unless your a woman.
Seriously chill out, there is no right or wrong way to play Mass Effect. As marsh said it was just a playfull snark and Im sure you read much more biased opinions on the forums. maleshep isnt being replaced because of a trailer and a CE cover. Let us "minority" fans have our moment

I agree, which is why saying "femShep fans would cry sexism" (paraphrased because I am too lazy to go back and copy+paste) was dumb.

Hell, I'm the one who started the femShep site, and to a very large extent, I agree w/ you. Most of the article is just restating facts, but the author of that bit didn't do anyone any favors w/ his poor choice of words.

ManShep fans don't have to make threads, because manShep is featured until now as the sole representative of the character.
And don't mistake this for whining. I'm merely stating an obvious, logical truth.
Priviledge, etc.

I still laugh whenever someone brings up this 'canon' debate for the ME games.
Besides this isn't about who is canon or not, it's about the cover and the cover only. I could just imagine some people refusing to pick up this game if they saw Femshep on the REGULAR cover which probably won't happen and even if ME3 gets rave reviews/critical acclaim etc they will simply not accept the game purely by it's cover.
Example, see Final Fantasy XIII.
