Elevators. That's not even a question. Guess what? It was a loading screen in disguise. It would've taken just as long to get where you're going watching a traditional loading screen.
That's only true if you're playing on the XBox, chief.

I'd say keep the elevators though. But if its going to be a long elevator ride then just black the screen and transition you to the the next area.

Banter should be spread around and not just during elevators and other loading screens.

Loading screens for me. I never played ME1 but ME2's loading screens aren't as bad as some people say.

Elevators, as much as they annoyed me in ME1 they did provide for some quality party banter time. Something that was sorely missing from ME2. I mean what gives? You have two mute squaddies following you around, atleast have them through comments at each other.
Too bad the Squaddies were completely mute after you did every ****ing planet known to mankind.

IMO Loading screens break gamplay atmoshpere while elevators and decontamination chambers were a good and realistic way to hide loading without breaking the atmosphere

Uh, I found the gameplay atmosphere in the elevators to be broken when I hear the *SAME REPORT FOR THE 20TH TIME*

Nothing serious that can be implemented. Anyway is still better than the freaking mute load screen.
Somekind of elevators like the ones on Dead Space 2 would be a nice improvement

This further proves that having people vote on femShep was a bad idea. People just don't know what they want

Ah yes, elevators. The things that disguised loading times in the first Mass Effect, everyone complained about until the developers removed them. We have dismissed reimplementing them.

I never protested against them however they implemented loading screens in ME2 but a lot of people disliked it. Some kind of improved elevators with music and news is more appropriate IMO.
These people you were referring to are pretty much the same who were complaining with MAKO exploration in ME1 and what was the result....no exploration at all in ME2....I think the majority would like game features implementation rather than elimination altogether

In ME2 we could have had squad conversations in the shuttle and news reports from there...
Loading screens kill the immersion.
Now I only played the PC version of ME1 so maybe on xbox those rides lasted for eternity but on PC there were fine and really added a lot of perceived size to the citadel.

Loading screen that goes away, when loading is done would be nice. Elevators and animations are there until game is done showing elevator ride or animation. They are cool for a while, but after some time you have seen all of it too many times.
