Nothing to fear. We have ME books and ME comics. The universe is big and ripe for expanding.

This has been known for ages? Anime is well underway - should be out next year. Live action is still in dev hell with avi arad's company.

I fear of the Hitman adaptation fiasco, but I hope the final ME movie proves me wrong....

Well I just hope they're good, and that Shepard and his squadmates DONT appear in them, atleast then I will feel any choices I make (what gender Shep is, who's alive/dead ect) wont feel wrong if they aren't the same as the movies.

I would be lying though if I said I thought these movies were a good idea, and that they wont be anything but a cheap sci-fi movie.

I hope the movie won't shatter all the work that Bioware has done to help videogames be recognized as a form of art.

I want it to be something that can be shown to non-gamers without making them laugh.

Don't know anything about anime, but won't live action movie be set in First Contact War?

After being let down with the "development hell" that resulted in the Metal Gear Solid movie never coming out, I'm in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp.

Would be great to see a good animation studio handling the ME3 anime.

Somewhere along the lines of this anime.

Oh cmon what was wrong with 300 and Watchmen?

I mean, other than 300 was a gay porno (manthong! HUGH!) and Watchmen was just completely over the top?

Oh, and I kinda expect an ME film to be like Watchmen: Appealing to those who read the book (or for ME played they game) and scared the hell out of everyone else:whistle:.

Long as the movie is on the First Contact War and done right, not fussed there. As for the anime, well. Mixed feelings. Needs to be a good studio [see Animatrix awesome] and also avoid telling any of Shep's story since it'll invariably lead to rebellion in the fanbase >.>

I'm surprised you didn't know about this. You're always the first to know but this news is pretty old. I guess you were on a holiday when they announced the animated movie. :)

I'm personally not afraid. No matter how bad the movies may be, the games are not affected. I hope they will be good but I'm prepared for the worst.

How does a film affect your game? the simple fact is that Shepard is the face of the universe - of course the films should showcase him/his story; at least until the brand can be recognised and sold on its own merits.

This. "Confirmed" Movies based on video games have a habit of never actually being released.

I never saw Watchmen, but 300 sucked big time.  I went in expecting this historically accurate film about a war involving the ancient Greeks, and what I ended up seeing was an orange-tinted movie that was completely over-the-top.   I was too distracted by the ridiculous body piercings to pay any attention to what was going on.

They're making it like that so all the hardcore nerds can dis the ones that like the live action and say "mannnn the animated movie was soooo much better".

They should have some Japanese company make it so it doesn't make any sense then the hardcore nerds can get real hardcore and say "I can't believe you didn't understand it" when they know good and well they didn't know wtf was going on either....

As long as Legendary Pictures is still producing the live action version I think it's fine. I''d like to know what to expect out of the animated film though.

Read the book (I recommend it) and then watch the movie (I wouldn't normally recommend it but for the sake of argument)

Watchmen the book (graphic noverl) I liked, the movie I did not. There still was some abuse of slow motion as seen in 300 it was not as blatant.

The book had a point and a story, the movie was a random compilation of sex scenes and violence.

Ok, get your naysaying self out of here! You naysaying ... naysayer!

Bewbs and Booty 100% compensate for poor writing. It's like it real life where bewbs and booty compensate for a wide variety of gross character flaws, only in written form. Can you not draw the paralell?

So, bewbs and booty first, writing second as a ground rule .
