TBH I dont really care one way or the other in DAO with the exception of the Origin you get a few cursory lines of Dialogue and thats it, there is no tangible difference to each of the races so when DA2 was human only it didnt really bother me at all, At least in Skyrim there are tangible differences between the races( Nightvision for Khajits, abillity to breathe underwater for Argonians and thats before you get to the unique bonuses for each sub species of human and elf).
As far as I'm concerned if all multiple races will do is gives us a few extra lines of dialogue and some variations on responses/comments from NPC's then Bioware should't waste time, money and resources just to pay lip service to disgruntled fans.Simply put if your going to do it Bioware do it right or don't do it at all
Yes no Maybe-Dragon age 3 will have race selection?

I would love to have multiple race choices again, and honestly, it would be very possible to do male and female voices for each one, if they wanted to put in that kind of effort. I would gladly wait another couple of years for DA3 to come out if they did indeed plan on doing that, but I won't complain if we end up getting a human again.

Human warrior. Most popular race/class combo by miles and miles ... I hate all of you NewFans so much.
^ This. So much. The DA:O elf and dwarf orgins were miles better than the boring human origin. I'm sick to death of pseudo white european human protagonists being shoved in every fantasy game while the fantasy races get religated to the background. Like zoo animals.

DA:I is about a human inquisitor, who is trying to save the world from blood mages even if s/he is able to be a blood-mage some demons and a dragon!
maybe ( 0.1% chance) in the future Bioware will bring races but for now this is what you get Human inquisitor.

DAMN WELL BETTER!
I'm a short woman, being a tall human character, didn't feel right at all.

DA:I could have been a story about an inquistor, much like DA:O was about a grey warden;not a human gray warden. I know the default plan is all about a human but forcing the human path like they did in DA:2 is really uncool. I replay DA:O all the time for that very reason;diversity. I feel being forced t o be human takes away from the fantasy aspect and just makes it another boring dungeon crawler kind of game.
Maybe it is just me but I felt there was just something about having the race option, class option and heritage that made the game unique and fun. When you have many choices the replay value and the likely hood of enjoying/loving the game is that much higher. Being able to play the game the way you like it, to create the protagonist you envision and to shape the story the way you feel is the best feeling in the world.
Bioware could have easily put race into dragon age two, making you a merchant or a mage/apostate escaping lothering. I can only hope the next Bioware game has race, imagine a shepard who wasn't human? Anywho I could only hope that Bioware doesn't get shafted by EA and forced to rush their game again... Third times the charm?

It may be a bit strange to see an elven or dwarven Inquisitor, but it can't be any stranger than being an Inquisitor with magic. So I don't see the harm in allowing us to play as a non-human again.
I love playing as elves in these kinds of games. However, if the art style of elves is anything like DA2, I honestly wouldn't mind being a human.

I love this. I'm using it as my signature.
