The real question here is, will Kinect in ME3 be this awesome? I don't think so.

Whilst releasing the SDK and bringing it to PC will no doubt increase Kinnect's Pornographical capabilities in hitherto unimaginable ways I can't see PC gamers actually giving a **** about its gaming capabilities.

It's "only 6-feet" when using the standard xbox software.  We are not talking about Kinect on the 360; we are talking the Kinect on the PC.  This changes the playing field.  The actual range varies based on what software is used; the Kinect itself is capable of detecting objects much closer than 6 feet and is even able to detect individual digits on the hands.  With the PC, processing limitations are vastly improved and whatever limits there are will largely be in the hands of those who are now designing software for the Kinect on the PC.

Anyone seen Minority Report with Tom Cruise? Think the scene where is going through the images on the "computer" with a wave of hand was cool? That's what Kinect opens the door of possibility to...see beyond the implications of ME 3 being "Kinect enabled" and see what the technology may have to offer the gaming world in general. Or is it too hard for some of you to see that Kinect, may just be the first step in the technological tree that leads to holodecks.

Ahem. :P

As for what this means for ME3...well...that's up to BW.  I'd say the sky's the limit, but in reality they are limited by the Xbox 360 (unless they chose to go all out for Kinect PC, but I doubt they'd do that when it would mean vastly different capabilities between systems).  Maybe for a different game, however...

I am a hardcore PC gamer and I give a **** about its capabilities, gaming and beyond.  Not every PC gamer (it's ironic how it's PC gamers, of all the types of gamers, who have reacted with such vitriole toward new technology) is close-minded or incapable of appreciating the implications and possibilities new technology brings...and this includes technologies like the Kinect.  But then I also consider myself a technophile, not a technophobe.

Ordering your squad w/ voice command sounds nice, but the other just seems redundant. I still have XP, so it doesn't much affect me anyway. Oh well.

I don't care about voiced commands so have no intention of using Kinect even if it does come to the PC.

Kinect needs to die in a fire. Cheap lousy poorly-working gimmick, keep that crap away from my PC, thanks.
