I'm trying to figure out a way to stealth into a fight (solo), drop a spike trap then BS a different mob while using tenser's transformation to get my THAC0 to that of a fighter all while under improved invis.
Using tenser's tranformation and under improved invis can I lay traps and BS? How high does my trap skill need to be to successfully drop traps. Also can i find traps under improved invis?

You CAN’T lay traps in line of sight of enemy targets!
You could 'charm' him to your side and then drop your trap & find traps works well whilst 'invisible' but you can’t hide and find traps.
Backstab only works for your first attack so consider shape changing to ogre or even spider.
Note that you need to be out of line of sight to hide and off topic but you can’t backstab from 'sanctuary'.
