The problem i'm having is that after manually downloading the all class items pack and installing them my game can't connect to the DA servers to autheticate the DLC. They show up on the list but with an asterix next to them and (unauthorised) next to their version number and from what i've gathered from searching around these forums and other websites it's the reason i can't find the packs(chests full of items) in game.
I only noticed the 'Unable to connect to DA servers. Please try again later' problem since last week as i had a large gap inbetween play periods (hadn't tried to play DA2 basically since a week after it's release).
I only bought the pack a few days ago and i haven't bought any other DLC since the relase of DA2 so it's been a fair while inbetween the working DLC (the black emporium) and the stuff i just bought.
A lot of people have been reporting that their game drops in and out constantly from the servers but mine just never connects to begin with.
The only thing i do is launch the game via steam then press any key after the intro. After a few seconds of trying to connect it will pop up with the box saying unable to connect then never pops up again until i restart the game.
My game has not been modified in any way.
-------------Things i have tried---------------
1. Another tech support website said that windows 7 users needed to download the origins.exe (what used to be the ea downloader apparently) but installing that program hasn't changed anything.
2. a) I have let everything through my firewall to no avail
------------Things yet to try--------------------
1. Going to try and download ie9 incase steam/origin tries to use that to contact a website. (microsoft download centre isnt working for me atm though)
2. Haven't done anything with my ports or router as i'm not very proficient in doing those things.
Let me know if there's anything else i can say to help trouble shoot this.
Regards, Angus.
