After playing my first playthrough to get a feel for the game, I have started many different accounts. I'm currently working on my "canon" playthrough that will be uploaded to Dragon Age 3 to continue playing with. I like my character "good with a dark side" and two of my least favorite characters are Merril and Fenris. Is it possible to kill both of these characters? I know that (spoilers) at the end, Fenris sides with the Templars, but is there a specific dialouge to ensure fighting? Last time, I just made him re-join me....
Killable party members at end on game?

Have Fenris fairly neutral (not too far rivaled or friended) and you side with the mages, he will leave. If you talked to him about slavery at any point in the game, you will have the option to convince him to rejoin. You can either screw up that conversation intentionally (I think) or just never talk with him about slavery during the game and not get that option at all.
I don't think you can kill both Fenris and Merril in the same playthrough.

Hmmmm. Maybe having Merril around will be good simply because of the Illuvian. But if I kill her, which..I will try, (damned blood mage) I wonder if Bioware will be able to catch that loop hole, because I think that mirror will be important considering how important they were for Witch Hunt.

But does it need to be Merrill's mirror?

If the game will allow to kill all the companions I might try one of the runs, I don't kill any of the companions ever but, having the ability to kill 1 and let others go free am merry is not very good.
In each act I could kill one of the companions for whatever reason, of course by the end game i'll be alone but who cares right?
Now i see Meredith:
You are alone hawke! And you killed everyone who believed in you.
Hawke: yes but they were idiots to start with! friends?... to him/herself "for now"
