My canon Shep will have Ashley at his side for the entire game.

Absouletly, Ashley will be by my side to the end in Mass Effect 3.
After all, we have a LOT of lost time to make up for and I can't think of a single person Commander Cheesenips Shepard would want beside him at the very end any more.

Oh and Garrus will be there as well.

Kaidan will be in my team the entire time, unless there's a situation where the story strongly demands two other specific squad members. In part it's because he's my Shepard's LI, but in other ways it's because he's so versatile as a squadmate. If Kaidan's in my Infiltrator's team, my second team member can be anyone and we'll still be reasonably balanced.

Tali has always been at my Shep's side if I had any choice in the matter. That will contine in MW3. We (with Garrus) are a team and the only ones I trust to have my back. We took down Saren together, we took down Reaper Baby together, and we'll end things together.

Miranda's coming with me - even if she's not a LI

Miranda is not only my LI, she's also my favorite character and squadmate, so I want her at my side as often as possible.
If it's possible, she will be with me during the final fight.
I hope Bioware won't decide to punish us for choosing someone we care.

My rule of thumb is to always include the LI, both for sentimental and gameplay reasons.

Guardian Revan + Sentinel Bastila + Consular Jolee = Epic Destruction
Vanguard Shepard + Infiltrator Garrus + Soldier Ashley = Corpses flying everywhere and alot of empty lockboxes
And it goes without saying that Miranda and Garrus proved to be the most deadly combination in ME2 for Insanity

Bring LI to the final mission. They're adults and understand the risk, and if they stayed with Shepard, it's their decision. And yes, not knowing what's going on with partner is rather painful.
So I hope Jack will be more useful, or my Max (infiltrator) will have problems. Seeing that Alyson(vanguard) + Miranda(sentinel) + anyone = enemies ended really fast, I hope Alyson(vanguard) + Kaidan(sentinel) will be fine, too.

I always take the love interest with me, because they end up being my favorite characters because of it. Also, I like to see if any dialogue around the fact happens because of them being in the party.

What makes people think that there will be anyone left by the end besides Shepard???? Like all the characters in "The Walking Dead"'s prison story arc, all these characters were made to be put through hell in this final chapter.  NO ONE is coming out alive.

I usually keep my LI with me. I don't really know why. I guess I feel like i can protect her better if she's with me than if she's on the ship or leading another fireteam. In the event i have to choose between saving her or myself, i will save her everytime. What better way for Shepard to go out than to die saving the entire universe and the one he loves in a dramatic and heroic last stand? i think that would suit my Shepard since Chivalry is most certainly not dead on my Normandy. If I have another Virmire situation then i will obviously choose my romance option.

In ME1, I kept her safe...in ME2, she was the tech-expert I send in, and since she was in danger anyhow, I figured, in for a penny, in for a pound, so I took her and Miranda long with me (Miranda for the TIM-cutscene). For part 3, I figure I will take her and Garrus with me, the three who stuck by me along the entire trilogy. If it is the end, we'll go out together. If not, I'm going to make sure we all survive.
