If you think about it, a Hanar Reaper would be scary as hell.

"This one believes your destruction is inevitable."

Shepard should ride an Elcor into battle!

Elcor should ride Shepard in her quarters after the battle...

Why did I write this? I gave myself some horrible mental images

With great joy: "I know you feel this!"

More like "this hurts you!" :)

Hmm...
Hanar, I don't see how they would be useful in a fight, probably the only good that would come out of it is a love interest for some perverted people.
Elcor, Have you ever seen one holding a gun? Or moving around fast? Or ducking for cover? Yeah same as with Hanar, sick love interest.
Drell, I don't mind them, I'd like to see a female one though.
Volus, as long as it's the biotic god ;)
Vorcha, Unless I can use them as ammo for Normandy's main cannon I don't want them on my ship.
Batarians, Lol, can I destroy more star systems of them? Please?

The Hanar are the key to the Drell, that's what makes them necessary. They Also may have technology from the Enkindlers (protheans) to combat the Reapers.
The Elcor can mount cannons on their backs. They're like flipping tanks.
The Volus are economic geniuses, so we could use them to fund the war.
The Vorcha... if we find a way to control them are stupid enough to go out into the frontlines and sacrifice against the husk ground agents.
Batarians... well... uhh... perhaps they have a fleet? Unsure, either way, we need to end hostilities with them in order to get the rest of the species comfortable to get behind Shepard to face the Reapers.

The Elcor actually have a very capable military. Their military is run by VIs that contain thousands of years worth of strategies. It largely consists of combat drones, and we all know how effective groups of drones can be. Actual Elcor soldiers take on more of a support role. Due to their large size, they can carry large vehicle grade weapons on their backs. Sounds like they could be pretty valuable in a fight.

Wars are expensive, so the volus will definitely be useful.

I did laugh at that. :D

Hanar might be extremely adept in operating spaceships for all we know - they've got enough tentacles for the job!
If not, then maybe they could play a part in helping us to recover some key prothean artefact or other.

The Batarians have the Leviathan of Dis - could be a huge juggernaut in the war. I'd love to see them come save humanity.

The Hanar constantly repeat how the Enkindlers built them up - we know the Protheans tried to outfit races for the battle with the Reapers. They should be important.

The Volus - I've ranted about their relevance more than once. Their trade ships should be the best in the galaxy... and the importance to transportation during war and keeping supply lines open should not be disregarded.

The Elcor would be amazing shock troops (not to mention canon platforms). Imagine a herd of them charging the Husk front lines throwing them aside with those massive arms (like the Oliphants in LoTRs)

Honestly - I want to see Bioware turn the ME universe on its head. This war is supposed to be huge and galaxy altering. I want to see unexpected races do unexpected (but grand) things during the war.

They don't only have to fight each race could have thier own ability.

Elcor live on a extremely high gravity world, so lead the reapers there, and maybe they wont be able to get off the ground, or move for thst matter, like shooting fish in a barrel.

Volus are traders, so they must have a stockpile of equipment they could donate to the fleet.

Hanar have Blasto, nuff said.

Drell are good in water? There is always a need for ships off the coast. Conidering the Alliance has been eliminated.

You know Blasto is a fictional character right, a fictional character inside a piece of fiction?

Kinda hard to grasp for some, but he isn't real, not even in the MEverse... People should really let that Blasto thing die, he is just the Hanar james bond, seriously.

Batarians: We could probably use their help. The game isn't clear, but I imagine that the batarian military is probably larger than the Alliance.

Volus: Part of the Turian Hierarchy. Already on our side. No real military contribution anyway.

Vorcha: Not a unified faction, and they aren't good for much more than spear carriers. That said, I want to see some vorcha tear into a group of husks.

Hanar: I imagine the hanar have their own fleet. There may also be a Prothean connection we can use. I don't see hanar soldiers being all that useful out of the water, and the drell are too few in numbers to make a difference.

Elcor: As with other races, the elcor probably have a warfleet, though not a big one. However, I have two words for elcor soldiers: DO WANT. If you need more evidence, read this thread (www.cerberusdailynews.com/forum/viewtopic.php), focusing on the posts by Kyman201, an elcor mercenary. I hope that we get a scene where Shepard is rescued by a force of elcor soldiers.

^^ these are some good points, According to the treaty Hanar and Elcor can still have a couple of Dreadnoughts among them and the Batarians since they don't follow Citadel rules could have hundreds.

Hanar and Elcor, I can use them if they have a fleet ready for combat.
Vorcha, I might use them as cannon fodder. (and that cannon fodder, if they got numerical superiority and kick-**** weapons, they might not be considered cannon fodder. You just have to convince them that Reapers=enemy)
Batarians, if there are survivors, I will talk them into joining the Anti-Reaper Alliance.

Simple enough.

I would rather have those races firing at reapers than at humanity. If that requires me to swallow my pride and ask for help that is not a high price to pay.

Vorcha, definitely. Looking forward to finding out that vorcha are immune to the indoctrination and most organics-focused weapons, due to their natural fast adaptation and resilient biology. Everyone is looking down at them and treats them like trash. If they stay devoted to Shepard throughout the war, humanity could take them under our wing.

Lol. Do you even remember Mordin's recruitment mission?

Its hard for me to imagine the hanar going to war. Blasto is, as mentioned earlier, not real even in the ME universe. I can however imagine them protesting the war for some silly reason or another.

I don't know what role an elcor would fill in combat that couldn't be better filled by a hover tank or some other hardware, but it would be neat to see them doing something.

Batarians I really want to see. I'm still crossing my fingers for a batarian squadmate.

Vorcha... I don't get the impression that they are mentally capable of of being much more than foot soldiers, but I don't doubt that if someone like the allience were to pay them they would fight along side us. They're basically ugly simpleton mercs after all.

Volus can't fight. I've never seen anything to indicate otherwise. Biotic god is, after all, toast (if you let him fight). At least we know the Hanar could strangle you if they get close enough. What's a volus gonna do though? Sue?

I believe at least the Batarians will be of SOME use; We know they have a navy and at least one dreadnought, and as stated, they have that "Leviathan of Dis" so who knows what that might bring to the table.

I personally would love to see the Alliance ask for Batarian help after their fleet arrives in our systems, only to have the Batarians sit back and watch us burn for what we did in Arrival.
