Ah! Don't know what happened to my text! The forum won't let me edit it, either. Anyway, my question was whether or not the negative parts of the Noveria morality glitch (screwing up the ME2 save import) carries over if you do a new career on ME1 with the same character.

Also, this wasn't even the section I wanted to post on. Double whammy.

I have used the noveria glitch on pc numerous times and have imported fine into ME2.....on PC. So I don't know if it borks it on the Xbox or not, but SO FAR it hasn't done anything bad on my games.

What Glitch?

I had the same question. Here's what I found:

On the planet Noveria, head to the hotel bar and look for a Turian named
Lorik Quinn. Accept his quest to steal the data from his office. Once
you get the data, the receptionist will ask you to get Quinn to testify.
Tell her you'll do it, and then go talk to Quinn. From here:
1) Tell Quinn that he should testify (top left option).
2)
When he refuses, select the Charm option (top left) for Paragon points
or the Intimidate (bottom left) for Renegade points and end the
conversation.
3) Talk to him again, and ask about the Matriarch.
4) When he gets done talking about her, select the "Other questions" option (bottom right).
5)
Now, you'll have the option to ask him to testify again (top left).
He'll refuse, and you'll be able to use the Charm or Intimidate option
again to gain another 24 Paragon or Renegade points.
Repeat steps 3-5 until you have all the Paragon or Renegade points you want.

I don't think it should affect your import into ME2 since the next ME1 career resets the flags.

ya, ive actually done that little bug every PT since i found out about it, just to make sure my shep has a full morality score :D. but i never had any problems with the import afterwords (i play on XBOX). ive heard some people say that it messed the save file up, but im not sure how it could end up corrupting the save file.
all you are doing pretty much is..
  • "internal affairs, blah blah will you tesify?"
  • "now that you have my property--"
  • "(insert reason here)"
  • "very well, i will testify"
start up dialogue again
  • "i have not been contacted regarding our arrangement"
  • "have you seen an asari matriarch around here?"
  • "yes, blah blah"
  • "i have a different question"
  • "humans are full of questions."
  • "internal affairs, blah blah will you testify?"
^^^^rinse and repeat. im not sure how just doing dialogue exploits could mess up the import. regardless you could get a full morality score by not doing that bug anyway?
