It's been 3 pages so far and no one's said anything yet, but hey, I'm all for being proven wrong.

So you are saying that in this game (like in DAII) everyone are ****** again ? They just dont want to talk about it ? God dam it Bioware. First you make games easier. Next you make them shorter (300h BG2 vs 30h DA II - COME ON!). Next you give all that "regenerate health" stuff because every character can take a dragon, kill it and walk like it was nothing. After that you give us small (in size and count) locations with static world. Then you take good games and turn them to **** (DAO > DA II). Then you make every game character ******.
*nonsense snip*
I don't know where, but that's what he thinks, he says to FemShep that he didn't realize she preffered her own gender when FemShep gets involved with Liara and implies that if he'd known he wouldn't hit on FemShep in the first place.JockBuster wrote...
Where in ME1 does KaidAn get THAT idea? IF you save him on Virmire during the deBRIEFing, Shepard can tell KaidAn that "I chose to save YOU (over ashley)!" Now is that is not a 'hint' I don't know what is.IsaacShep wrote...
Didn't you read Casey's tweet I quoted? Unless you hit on them first they won't come on you, not to mention with Kaidan that wouldn't happen anyway since he thinks Shep is straight.TexasToast712 wrote...
I dont want my bros Garrus, Jacob, or Thane coming on to me in ME3 because Bioware told them to come out of the non existent closet
Also, does this mean new guys automatically won't be your bros because they could be bi/gay? [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wondering.png[/smilie]

Who said I was being funny? Disagreement is funny to you? No wonder this conversation doesn't get anywhere. It was already stated that romances whould have to be inintiated by the player so....yeah?

That's like saying it was too late to romance Tali & Garrus romance because they weren't LIs in ME1. You also make a good point how all romances in DA2 felt the same so wouldn't it actually be better if the romance between Kaidan and ManShep had different dynamic (including years-long friendship first) than the one between Kaidan and FemShep?Commodore Q wrote...
tbh I wouldn't mind a love interest with Kaidan with my male Shepard, but I just don't want all the relationships to be completely false like Dragon Age 2, where all the romances were exactly the same for man or woman, it completely killed the game IMO. And just magically turning all the romanceable characters Bi is even more stupid as well. I tried my hardest for Kaidan to like me in ME1, he didn't so why would he now just magically turn out to be Bi. Yes I would love Kaidan to be my love interest... in the first game, but its too late in the series now for him to have the same impact as the other romances that were initiated in the first game. I wanted him, but now I want my blue babies damn it!

Since it's happened to me in real life (a distinct possibility with any straight person), I'm not too concerned about advances from gay characters in a video game. Doesn't threaten me.

Yeah, just don't tell him you like the way his rear looks in that armor, and you should be fine.
It was pretty obvious in DA2, as well, even without the heart.
I can get behind this. I never really had a bromance with Kaiden anyway. If you want him to be bi in ME3 I whole heartedly support it. (He is dead anyway in my playthroughs) I dont want Garrus, Thane, or Jacob suddenly being Bi though when they clearly show no tendencies in previous games.Machines Are Us wrote...

I hope they don't make Kaidan bi or gay or whatever. I have nothing against those people but I just don't think Kaidan should be gay or bi. Only new characters should be gay or bi IMO.
I do not agree. I don't think all old characters should "come out" but some of them I can see it as plausible. To be honest I always felt that Kaidan seemed more suited as a gay character, and after seeing the modded version of Mass Effect with Ash/Femshep I can see Ash as a bisexual character.
The others I cannot see it as likely. Garrus and Thane most certainly do not come across as having any homosexual tendencies, nor do Miranda or Jack in particular. Tali seems like she could based upon how a lot of the "hinting dialogue" about how she feels about Shepard still exists for a femshep.
If one or two characters turned out to be Bi, it wouldn't be unrealistic, but if all of them do it will be ridiculous.
At this point no m/m romance can be as impactful as other crossing over romances since well, there weren't any m/m romances in previous games :/ But it is possible to implement variables/flags from the friendship path with Kaidan into the romance in ME3 and make it be somehow quasi trilogy-spanning/crossing over. It'll only be second-best but that's all that is possible at this point. I prefer second-best than having only a romance with an entirely new m/m character, that would be third or fouth-best as new characters won't have any of the cross over aspect.Commodore Q wrote...
good point, if its done well, and not a carbocopy of the female love interest then I will dump the blue girl and finally take my manBut with Tali and Garrus, there romance can be carried on in ME3, I'm just worried if they do have Kaidan as a M/M romance opition it wont be as impactful as the romances than cross over ect, unless they do really put the effort into it.
