How would you react to a live action Mass Effect Tv series rather than a film? Something like Star Trek.

only if Joss Whedon directs it.

I reckon they should wait and see if the live action film turns out to be successful or not and it has a very low chance of that...and I'm not even being pessimistic, films made from games tend to be bad, Mass Effect has a massive scope meaning it would require a massive budget just to make it as good as the game and then you have so many other problems, getting the right script, soundtrack, actors etc. honestly they should just use the soundtrack from the movie but redo it so it fits with the movie and stuff.

Just imagine something like this but all Mass Effect instead:

I think it could turn out pretty cool.

As much movies/series/other media as possible, let's make Mass Effect this generation's Star Wars

There's a thread floating somewhere in the backwaters of the General Discussion Board where I made a somewhat elaborate proposed first season. Another user made a second.

I might do it again for the lulz later. Let's just say I'm a big sci-fi TV fan.

Almost.

It "stars" a female Shepard who develops something for Kaidan but he dies on Virmire for dramatic effect. Otherwise it's pretty free of it.

Completely unnecessary. We already have 2 movies coming up, do we really need a TV show lolreadOPproperlynexttime

But still, I'd rather have a complete story in a movie than waiting weeks for the next episode to air.

I think this is why it will never work, I personally see shepard as Male, and wouldn't care for a Femshep at all.
So if there was a TV serioes it would have to be either about a something not connected to Shepard, or about an entirely new Character.

Only if HBO does it, they could do something awesome! If Fox was anywhere near the project I would cry until my eyes bleed.

If it was executed well, it could be brilliant.

But animated series make biotics cost nothing.

Given you're a Farscape fan... I really want to see this outline!
If it follows the same kind of line as Farscape I would love it.

good point, I wouldn't want to watch the show if it was a femshep.  My shepard is male as well.  They would have to make it a spin off from the game.

No TV, it would not be cool. Unless it was an ultra-violent anime. Then maybe.

Only if it's on cable (ie. HBO) and is given proper time and resources. It could be something special if the writing is equivalent to that of the new "Game of Thrones" or "Boardwalk Empire", for instance.
