Unless Thane suddenly grew boobs and wore armor exactly like Tali (not to mention Thane never had gold eyes), its not Thane.  It is however right next to the Thane art so I'm guessing that's the reason for the confusion.

There's two pieces of concept art of Tali in the art book.

She's completly covered in both.

For those that are obsessed with it there is concept art of Tali with her mask off in the ME2 CE art book.

seriously?  I havent heard that

This has been debunked. It's concept art of THANE, not Tali.

I just had to open the Artbook to check that out and NO, there's no Tali unmasked, there are 2 concept of the post Pilgrimage look of Tali and both are with the mask on, even the one with the "golden eyes" you talk about, and right of those pictures there are concepts of Thane's face and then Thane.

I think no matter what her actual face looked like, it wouldn't fail to disappoint some people so leaving it as a mystery is probably the best move.

No matter what ME3 will dissapoint people ∴ it's best for Bioware not to make ME3 and keep the mystery of what it could have been.

Masked in one (left).  Unmasked on the other (right).

Those with the artbook can back me up with this one.

I'm looking at my artbook now and as I and Lupom said, she's masked in both.

All we can see in the right picture is glowy eyes.

I want to see a quarian. I don't care if that quarian is Tali or some other character.

What are you talking about? I think I was pretty clear when I said her face. Not the game. You can't please everyone. Revealing her face might make some people happy but it would make other people with unreasonable expectations feel disappointed, so it's best to leave it as a mystery. Understand?...

Keep up lad I was simply using your trail of thought.

People will be dissapointed with Tali's face no matter what ∴ no Tali face
People will be dissapointed with ME3 no matter what ∴ there should be no ME3

You can't please everyone. Creating ME3 might make some people happy but it would make other people with unreasonable expectations feel disappointed, so it's best to leave it as a mystery.

Understand?

Pretty sure he doesn't xD

As for Tali's face, meh idc either way. If they reveal the quarians, cool, if they don't oh well. I think they will reveal it, and there might be a backlash of fans who did not expect her to look like that, but they will live.

Who knows maybe she will be the way everyone thought she would be.

Doesn't matter to me. I only care that Tali is in the game fulltime as a squadmate and her plots with my Shepard continue. That's good enough.

I think it would be best to reveal someone like Kal'Reegar, Admiral Xen, etc. See what they look like, and then the Tali fandom can leave the rest to fanfiction.

However I don't care if they reveal Tali's face or not, but I would love to see what any Quarian looks like under their suit.

Eh, I'd rather not see it, personally, and I'm a Tali fan. By this point in the series I tend to think of Tali's faceplate *as* her face - the same with Quarians in general - and feel it would lose something if they took the plates off.

If you look at the context of the statements than you pick up a more accurate view of what he meant.

Reading through the list of things most or all of them have been talked about/discussed either during E3 or before. Tali has yet to be addressed to the affirmative or the positive. Not being discussed and not being in the game are two very different things.

I really couldn't care if they show it or not. I understand the reasoning against it since so many fans have likely built their own internal view of her.

I can think of a few ways to implement a dialogue choice into the story to let you choose to view it. But, we've seen already how fans respond to "optional scenes".

Somethings should forever be a mystery cause when revealed it destroys all magic and mystery. I think the WORST thing BW could do to Talimancers is actually showing her face. Besides you 'liked' her without seeing her face, so does it matter?

I am rather curious about the quarians though. When talking to Grunt he remarks that humans are squisy, poke one finger through the surface near the spine and its done. Turians (!) as well. And then he says: 'quarians not so much'. Could be he means the suits, but humans/turians also have combat armor.

Top part is why people never meet face to face in real life and I never want to see a gf naked. Intimacy and trust were never real substitutes for magic and mystery.... /sarcasm off... *lol*

Naw seriously... I see you point and recognize it BUT having to face your own preconceptions beats it hands down IMHO.

@Godwood: Haha I was about to make the exact same point in this post.

People have so many conceptions of what Tali looks like.  Even if Bioware create a face perfect for some, for others it will be opposite and will be disappointed to some extent.

Personally I like the mystery and the allure of it all. I hope she stays behind her mask.

Showing Tali's face would be the biggest fail BW can do in ME3.

..in this regard...they cannot win. If they show her face, people might be peeved. If they don't people might be peeved.

The next best thing is show us a Volus out of a suit...as a romance.

Its the only way to appease everyone.

I think it has been said, we will be going to Rannoch, the quarian home world. For me the best solution would be to place some old quarian art there, that shows them as they once were, before they needed the suits.
But I am not opposed to see a living quarian without the suit either, I just don't want them to simply drop the issue.

I will wait and see what happens in the game, wouldn't be the first time game devs denied something and happen anyhow.

I am a nonviolent person by nature but this (biowares "decision") certainly would warrant a decisive kick over the shin and a stern look before walking away.
