One thing I like in ME2 was that for the DLC missions for the Normandy and the Firewalker, was the helmet and silver orb you got in your quaters after you completed the missions. It would be nice in ME3 if you got similar momentos from certain missions.
Nothing gruesome like heads, hands or ears. Maybe things like the weapon the had when you defeated them or some personel trinket like dog tags.
Just something to remind you of a particularly memorable battle.

Of course you wont keep ears in your quarters. Everyone knows the best place for them is on a necklace around your neck.
It has been confirmed we will get all of our gear back for our cabin, once we fnid out who the theivnig scum was who took it, and deal with them appropriately.
