I just got home with my copy of ME2, but there is no CD Key included anywhere in the game box like on the back of the manual.
Can anyone help me with this because now I can't enjoy the game!!
No CD Key with my game.,

Well this isn't good, I'm being told my receipt for the game is fake and that I'm trying to scam EA. Do not appreciate this customer support at all, very very rude.

Did you purchase the game new, or used? And who from?

Used, from CEX. I purchased Mass Effect 1 in that way and it was fine.

Unfortunately, all you can really do is go back to CEX for a refund or replacement. CEX probably wouldnt be listed as an official supplier, and thus EA wouldnt be under any obligation to honour the sale through them.
It could be entirely possible the original owner has pulled a swifty, sellnig the game to a merchant, and kept the code for himself to register with EADM/Origni and use it as a digital download.

Ahhh that's annoying, it's gonna cost me money to go back into town to get a refund or replacement.
There is literally no CD Key printed on the manual though so I don't know what's going on.
I'll see how CEX deal with it, EA Customer Support has seriously disgusted me, I went to try and find help and they accused me of being a criminal, I'm pretty insulted. What company treats it's customers like that?

Thats EA for you. This might cheer you up though.

Not sure about the normal version, but the Collectors Edition has the Serial# printed at the bottom on the back cover. Alphanumeric, 5 set of 5 characters.

Dont know what to say mate. Its literally the first time ive seen or heard of this.
Its either a misprint on the manual that slipped through QC, but that begs the question of how did the original owner register it?
Or, Original owner scanned it, scrubbed the serial, and printed it out on a decent MFD with good quality paper in order to scam CEX.
It would at least be worth a phone call to CEX, because if someone has scammed like that once, odds are he/she has done it before, and CEX may have had complaints from other customers about similar instances.

Guess I'll have to play The Witcher 2 again until I can get back into town and investigate.
Seriously disgusted with EA though, never going to buy from them directly ever again. They were literally so rude to me.
Also just thinking, maybe the original owner traded it in because he couldn't register it?

Its possible, but if it were me I would have returned it to whoever I initially purchased it from for replacement/refund. It is also possible they contacted EA about the problem and provided a recipt that was from one of their official resellers, and provided them one via email.

Can you really blame EA for saying that you might be trying to scam them when that happens on a fairly regular basis to them?? There are plenty of people that will sell a game to a friend and tell them to contact ea to get another access code. If you bought the game new, then you would have the ability to talk to the seller or ea and see if it was a regular issue. But the fact that used games give NO money to EA, and they probably have already provided a license to the game really limits what's in it for them. Your issue isn't with EA, but with the used game reseller and the person who traded it in. It is a shame you got caught in the crossfire, but that is a learning experience for when you buy your next game. I had mine when I bought a game from Gamestop in a mall, and got home and the disc wasn't in the box, and had to beg my Mom to take me back to see if I can get my game......ahh the joys of being too young to drive sweet memories of 25 years ago....lol, just take it as a learning experience and check next time before you leave.

The service was called Customer Support, not "accuse your customers of being criminals". I don't go for suipport and then expect them to accuse me, it's very rude.
Anyway what is the revenue or one game to them? I've almost always bought games used, it's recycling an has bene perfectly legitimate, it's ridiculous that suddenly companies are getting even greedier and stopping the trade in used games.

A game like mass effect cost millions to make, and then they have to pay someone good money to help with problems. You want cheap games that contributes nothing to them being able to stay in business. Then you get a whole segment of people who think nothing of stealing their games, and saying" They are a big company and got plenty of money." Whether or not you are, your actions matched up with someone who is trying to steal from then, and someone who doesn't want to help them stay kind business. You technically aren't their customer, since you aren't helping them stay in business.

Oh **** EA then. If they want to treat customers as cows to be milked I'll just stick with CDProjekt who aren't money grabbing tossers.
