Are you expecting a proper apology/explanation from Ash/Kaidan for their behaviour on Horizon ?

I know I will, Ash's behaviour still puzzles me everytime I play through ME2 (I always save Ash and let Kaidan die)

Do you think there will be some kind of apology (I know there was an email but to me it dosen't count) or do you believe there was an unkown underlying reason for their behaviour

My Shep romanced Ash in ME1 and Miranda in ME2, and I think the events on horizon and explanation (if any) to them may well determine with whom he bunks down with in ME3

Also I saw from another thread, the word "Cheating is used allot"

After Horizon I certainly considered any previous relationship with Ash as long since gone - along the lines of, just in case theres any confusion, your dumped. Thoughts ?

They already apologized for it in the e-mail, despite it being a very hollow apology, I don't think they'll apologize again

No, but, I will hopefully be given an apology for having the emotional range of a raisin.

They probably will.

Won't accept it though.

Because it's Shepard's (or, ME2 writer's) fault.

Actually, I'm hoping my Shepard will have conversation choices to explain his actions that are more sophisticated than what I had on Horizon, which where

Herp (Paragon)
Derp (Renegade)
Durr Hurr (Neutral)

well my shepard expects a proper apology like actually apologizing to my sheps face. Not in letter. Maybe it will be ingame maybe not. I dont mindeither way as long as my shep can romance them

A discussion about it would be nice but I'm not expecting an apology, don't feel like I deserve one, either. Considering they've spent up to two years hearing anti-Cerberus propaganda (aka Cerberus FACTS), then Shep turns up out of the blue after supposedly being dead and asks them to join, their reactions seemed fair enough to me.

The first time I playing ME2 the Horizon scene with the VS really ticked me off. Judging by others' comments on this board, I probably had the same feelings it looks like a lot of other players had. But as I played the game more I began to see things from both sides of that conversation, and came to the following conclusion: Shepard and the VS (and others) have been jerked around by Cerberus, the Alliance, the Council and others for the past two years. Ashley's email even states that she isn't even sure who to trust any more.

From the 2011 E3 videos we've all seen, it appears that the VS has a major part in rescuing Shepard from Earth after the Reapers invade and literally lends a hand in pulling Shepard into the Normandy. With all that is going on at the time of ME3, accusations of treason by the VS and Shepard's problems in dealing with "his best friends not believing him" would seem petty and pointless. By rescuing Shepard at the beginning of ME3, the VS will demonstrate to Shepard their renewed loyalty and trust in him/her.

The re-reunion dialog might be something as simple as:

Shepard: Thanks for rescuing me.
VS: Anytime Commander. About our meeting on Horizon...
Shepard: Already forgotten, let's move on and defeat these Reapers...

or even simpler:

Shepard: Great to see you again VS, thanks for rescuing me.
VS: Anytime Commander. What are our orders?
Shepard: Let's kick some Reapers butt...

Done and forgiven...

A proper apology would be about the only way I'd let them back on the ship if I have any choice in the matter. But it would take something spectacular to make me trust them again like I did. Romance won't be happening regardless.

Yes I am! I'm so mad at Ash and Kaiden is such a jerk! I really don't get with him if bw does a he's upset I cheated on him when he emailed me and said he had a girlfriend! I'm just so mad at both of them for being such bullheads I also hated them calling me a traitor. If I could've had may way with the game only tim switching on that chip would've made my shep work for them. My shep was held against their will as far as I'm concerned and them calling me a traitor just like Spector girl calling Cerberus my friends is over the line.

I'd be giving them a chewing out, if they dared to apologize for standing up to me.

I don't expect one. Would I like one? Yes. If only so Kaidan can actually stop being OOC.

It really worries me that people here seem unable to understand that other people have feelings.  You’ve put Kaidan/Ash through a lot.  You died,   they grieved,  and they grieved hard.  They’ve just started getting their lives straightened out and Shepard struts in and acts like NOTHING has happened.   “Hey,  it’s been a while.”  Is the typical line, and not only that you show up with Cerberus a group that you fought constantly on your previous missions.  What?  Do you expect them to leap on you and cover you with kisses or something?  No,  it’s their right to be pissed at Shepard it is a HUMAN reaction.

They better have something really good to say, and yes, I think it should include an apology. Shepard went through hell and for the VS to act like that was the last thing Shepard needed. Shepard was dead, and it's not like he/she wasn't asking around about the VS as soon as he/she was able.

I understand if the VS didn't want to join up with Cerberus (even though the rest of your team seems to understand that they are working for Shepard and he/she doesn't trust Cerberus either) but it doesn't excuse what was said. So I'm hoping for some convincing dialogue from the VS.

I want a proper conversation so that both Shepard and VS can clear the air about Horizon and where they stand. you know with choice where you could say - I know, I felt the same way, but I was too lost for words to explain properly, or - I you showed that you didn't trust me, so I cannot trust you right now, you need to earn it back or get out of my way and a few things in between - and that's just for non romanced Shepards.

what I expect is couple of lines, maybe and some exposition on Cerberus during the ME2 years as well as exactly HOW VS's work was connected to them - sort of show, don't tell Shepard just how whom was he/she working for.

Also - what angelic machienry said.

seriously - VS had just as much if not more right to feel pissed off.

its been weeks for shepard but its been YEARS of guilt and grief for VS and then you show up and act like nothing happened?  first time I played through Horizon I wanted to hit someone.  my Shepard for acting like a douchy derpface. sure you might have asked about them.  but does VS know about it?  no.  they think you just faked your death and abbandoned them.  or do you think you were the onlyone stonewalled??

I agree. Shepard needed better lines.

:happy:exactly.
What I, player, want is rather simple - I wanted Kaidan (most of cases my VS is Kaidan) back in my game and I'll get him in ME3 - problem solved. Speaking of Shepards:
Alyson (VS LI): oh and you thought leave me to Cerberus and Collectors was a good idea? I need an explanation NAOW!!!
Ingrid: so, about Horizon... I'm glad you finally found your nuts.
Max: 'brofist' let's kick some Reapers' asses!
Angel: you'd better explain yourself or I can't count you as my friend anymore. You may leave it as it is if you want to, though.
John (VS LI, cheated on Ashley with Tali who's caught a rocket): I understand. It was a too dangerous mission, and you've just wanted to survive. Anyways, I'll not stare into the gifted SpeCTRe's mouth - proceed to the ship, ma'am.
Mona (VS LI): what has been done can't be undone, so no more discussing that matter. But, believe it or not, I knew you'll return
Mark: 'cuse me, you've left my ship? And what made you return now - you know I only take ladies on a missions. So I don't care about you or your words, leave me alone.
Ashley: look who's return, little Alliance's b***h. So when your bosses failed you ran to traitor with your tail between legs? What a lovely picture. Now, sweetheart, you'll work _for_ Cerberus, no matter if you like it or not

It's water under the bridge, it was two years and a whole lot to process. I don't have time for holding grudges I got a Galaxy to save.

It wasn't shepard I wanted to hit. My first run was something like this:

"You didn't call me in 2 years!!!!"

"I was in a coma!"

"That's no excuse! And you joined with those racist bastards Cerberus! And you brought Garrus and that other alien with you!"

"Are you even listening to yourself?"

If ever a scene needed a renegade interrupt, it was that one.Image IPB

Personally, I understand the VS's reaction. They actually have no freaking clue what happened to you, so I don't blame them for believing you betrayed them and the Alliance, and I respect them for sticking to their convictions (after the initial WTF?! of course). I do wish Horizon had been better written, but I guess taking the time to explain and prove everything would have taken too long or didn't fit with the story line the writers had planned.

I don't feel like I need an apology, but I hope we can have a good, well-written, heartfelt discussion.
