1) We should be able to map the buttons for "Skip dialogue" and "Select Dialogue Option" to two separate keys. This is something that has probably bugged a good number of players who go through multiple playthroughs especially since not all of us play pure paragon/renegade walkthroughs.

2) A key to pause the conversations, and if possible, the cutscenes as well. I am not too sure if people can relate to this, but can you imagine playing the game only to be interrupted by a call or the need to answer nature's call? And you're all "asoidaosjif-need-to-use-the-toilet but omgz0rz normandy blowing **** up!!!" Or maybe a family member walks in while you're playing the game and you can't not respond so you miss out on a bit of dialogue or a cinematic. Having a key to pause the game would save us the trouble and I believe, enhance our experience as well.

I'm sorry if I came off a little rude, was just trying to be constructive so i apologise in advance if my post gives off bad vibes. What do you guys think of my suggestions?

1) I agree

2) It's probably different for PC, but it's easy to pause the game for 360. Just hit the xbox button and the game is paused.

Oh, I didn't know you could pause on the xbox heh. We can't pause on the PC, at least as far as I know. :(

Yep, can't pause on PC. My phone rings or someone interrupts me only when there's a cutscene or dialogue playing. So yes, I hate it that we can't pause dialogue and cutscenes on PC.

I agree with both (although I've never had a problem with the first and mostly play on Xbox 360 so can use the guide button to pause).  It is odd that both X and A on the Xbox 360 select conversation options rather than having X be only skip (it currently does both) and A be only select (as it currently is).

Good ideas.
The second one would be nice especially when there is a long sequence of dialogue and cutscenes, and the phone happens to ring or something.

1) YES, someone needs to aks devs via twitter.

2) Xbox for me so...

but might I suggest

3) seperating romance and non romantic dialog, I don't know about you but I didn't like how in ME2 you couldn't talk to other squad membes of the oppisite sex without romancing them, Especially with the inclusion of ss romance, Sorry Garrus I like talking to you but I'm not into that...

Agreed on both points! (though I play on xbox so point 2 is less an issue for me)

Also, Real Talk should be third "paragrade" option for interrupts.

You're just telling it like it is, not necessarily pulling out your gun.

Like splitting the dialogue wheel in half? Lines for romantic pursuit on the left side and non-romance lines on the right?

I agree with the ability for 360 to have separate dialogue select and dialogue skip buttons so say A = select and B= skip no matter how may times I hit B I won't tell Miranda she's getting airlocked until I select it and hit A.

Also yes to pauseable cut scenes! I can't tell you how many times the cut scene comes up and I'm being distracted by someone who can't get the hint I'm in the middle of a game!

Oh and one more thing to add skipable cut scenes and op game scenes after you play the game once so this way if I make a shep from scratch or decide to restart the game with my old shep no more 20minet intro cut scene that is unskipable!

I also hope that ME3 will pause when my controller dies. ME2 didn't.

I was going to say natural head movements. Those things freak me out when they move sometimes, you could almost hear the gears squealing.

We are currently discussing this here http://social.biowar...3/index/7671046

As for the OP totally agree with both points, although for the conversation skipping DA2 had the system you have suggested so that gives me hope that it will get transfered to ME3

Haha, yeah I know! :D
Actually, I suggested the same thing when I heard that DA2 was going to use ME's conversation wheel. I don't know if the devs saw my thread way back then, but DA2 did have the suggested system incorporated anyway so I'm hoping someone takes notice of this as well!

I know this is slightly off the topic of what you are going on about (which I support)....but they also need to do something about linking the conversations together.

Most of the time when my Shepard talks it sounds like he's starting a new conversation....although he's been in it for about 6 lines...

I dunno maybe have the voice actors know what part of the dialouge they're in would help? It ruins the emotional sense for me when the feelings and tone in the sentences don't match up.

Yeah, on some of my playthroughs I pretty much was a b***h to Jacob so i didn't accidentally romance him and tick off Kaidan (like I accidentally did Liara on one of my playthroughs)

I completely agree, and hopefully these are the sort of things that can be changed this late in the game.

I think that on PC alt-tabbing away from the game will result in one line of dialog (or equivalent unit, such as a Shepard punch) being skipped from a cutscene, but otherwise pausing things. However, I'm really not certain about this.

bump bump

I realised that alt+tabbing during the initial cutscenes doesn't stop them from playing. So usually, I'll start a new game and proceed to do something else until the collectors attack lol.
