Is there console commands for the PC version? I haven't played a game on my computer since Diablo (yes, the first one in like' 96). So this could be extremely obvious and frustrating for those of you who find this to be a 2+2 question. The only way we can learn is to ask, so thanks in adavance.

Missing:
runscript addtalent ####
If you want to add a talent that's not from your class, e.g. lock picking for anyone but a rogue you have to add the rogue main branch first, then the talent.
4020 - Rogue Main
100001 - Deft Hands
100002 - Improved Tools
100003 - Mechanical Expertise
100004 - Device Mastery
(Not sure if you can do it for cross-class specialisations though.)
I'd like to see work on attributes.

I just made a list for all of Shale's talents, if you have the DLC. I wanted to change around the focus of Shale's starting abilities. I couldn't find any commands on the Wiki or on Google (other than 4033, to unlock the list), so I had to give my main character Shale's talents to figure 'em out in the xml.
Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to get my character to actually use them. He'd start a stance animation and then stop. The same happened when I tested with Liliana and Wynne (except Wynne wouldn't even show the talents in her spell section. But I'm guessing because Shale's a warrior, so only Warrior/Rogue would see them.) So unless someone else figures out a way (and I hope so) , only Shale can use Shale's abilities.
To get my main character to get 'em I had to use the "runscript addtalent 4033" to enable Shale mode. This is only here in case someone wants to try to get it to work with the other characters.
Anyway, here are the talent lists numbers. I hope I didn't typo somewhere
ex. to give Shale Stone Aura; Click on Shale, hit "~" and type: "runscript addtalent 300400"
300100 Pulverising Blows
300101 Slam
300102 Quake
300103 Killing Blow
300200 Stone Heart
300201 Bellow
300202 Stone Roar
300203 Regenerating Burst
300300 Rock Mastery
300301 Hurl Rock
300302 Earthen Grasp
300303 Rock Barrage
300400 Stone Aura
300401 Inner Reserves
300402 Renewed Assault
300403 Supernatural Resiliance
Enjoy!

Keeping in mind it's very easy to corrupt a game using these commands, they were meant for developer debugging purposes.
Just an FYI.

My question is this, how do I make the console visible? I can open it, but anything I type in, is invisible to me.

just type what you have to type... you really don't have to see what you have typed do you? I mean that there are letters on your keyboard, aren't there?

Also keep in mind that your game stats will not upload to the site (except for achievements) if you have console enabled.

There are no console commands for game functions. They are all scripts. The only thing the console does is the command "runscript" then you put the script string after it. So there are no commands for doing anything other than what you script for yourself. If you have the toolset, you can view all the scrips, and there are scripts functions for increasing attributes but you have to write it yourself and you have to export the "module" that you wrote it in as there are no defualt scripts for increasing your attribute base. It's a bit convoluted but it's easy to pull off once you have the basics down and feel comfortable in C++. Otherwise there's no command for it.
The best thing to do is to look for the script zz_supercrit and modify it. That script gives you 1000 hp, 1000 stamina/mana and 50 str and 50 dex. Modify the script to grants whatever values you want, changing the PROPERTIES_SOMETHING_OR_OTHER to whatever you want, even deleting some of the lines like health and stamina. Stave the script as my_script and export it as a module.

Don't think so but the next best thing would be to use the debug console codes, or more specifically the Lothering one. Teleports you back to Lothering, although I'm a bit iffy on this one. Use with caution like someone else said.

I was browsing through the commands over at http://dragonage.wikia.com, mostly because this topic caught my attention.
Anyway, I noticed near the bottom of that wikia page, it says something about appearance change, and then corresponding [values] that = different character models. What I didn't see was a 'runscript' code to be able to utilize those options. Does anyone know what the runscript command is for changing your characters appearance?

Hey, I've recently tried to use the money runscript, and it seems to me if you go much over 1000000 (100 gold) at a time then it messes up. Try reloading and adding 100 gold a few times instead of typing in some huge number.

Assuming you have a PC, there's a way to sort of 'hack' rogue skills onto your warrior character. Open the console and enter 'runscript addtalent 4020'. Hit enter 1 or 2 times until you can move around again, and look at your character sheet. You should see the Rogue icon below the warrior one, as though it were a specialization. Now open the console again and enter 'runscript addtalent 21', and hit enter a few times again. Now go to your talents page and you should notice the entire rogue tree is unlocked, with the talent 'Combat Movement' ready to go. You'll also have sneak attacks and be able to detect traps.
