I just installed DA2 and after the customize player screen the mini map and map page are all screwed up.

Here are some pictures:

After about 5-10 minutes of playing that spread across the whole screen.

I've tried playing at different resolution and turned down the graphics but it's still there.

I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it, but that didn't work.

My drivers are up to date and there are no mods.

I'm using a Radeon x1950 that is probably around 3-4 years old.


It runs all of my other games with no problems including Mass Effect 1, ME2, DA:O,
Fallout 3, Oblivion, and even DA2 looks good except for that problem.

Can anyone help?

There's no need to be rude. The OP clearly has gone to the appropriate effort in providing as much information as possible.

@OP: It's possible that your graphics card is overheating. Is it overclocked at all? Try setting it to factory defaults and manually setting your fan to a higher speed in the Catalyst Control Panel.

I suspect that the problem cured itself by now.  A day ago, you offered just a smidgen of the needed information.

The pinned posts are up there to help you, otherwise they wouldn't be there.  I was surprised you didn't answer.  I wasn't surprised that someone else might interrupt to play at a WAG without paying any attention to what I was sayng to you, either.
