I've been looking around the forum, and I've seen a lot of threads about the ME3 options for romancing. Most of the ones are of course about either the availablity of new romances and the dillema of love triangles.

Has anyone else thought about the different, if any, consequences of if you try to cheat in ME3 even if you haven't before? In ME2, if trying to romance two characters, if memory serves me right, you will basically be prompted to end the prior relationship before starting the new one. What if we try that in ME3? If I romanced Ashley in ME1, stayed loyal in ME2, what happens if I start finding Tali pretty sexy? Will I just be prompted to end it with Ashley completely, or will a similar (hopefully not exactly the same) cutscene play which will hopefully involve a catfight as if I cheated in ME2?

To make it more complicated, what happens if I romanced Ashley, cheated on her with Miranda, and then go all out on Tali in ME3?

They will probably just keep things basically the same as if you cheated in ME2, but the cutscene just happening a lot later. Although I think a love "square" would be pretty funny if it were allowed to happen.

Any thoughts?

It will probably be just another conversation, tbh. It might get a little heated since it's with a more 'established' relationship, but I doubt it will be the confrontation you'll get between an active ME1/ME2 romance.

I'd be surprised if the confrontation between ME1/ME2 romances is that major.

im pretty sure i banged dr. chakwas after we boozed it up in the med bay. i wonder if thatll tie into my relationship with liara. liara did used to chill in the room across from chawas, maybe thats why, but shes kindof a GILF, right? that accent too. meh, strikes and gutters i guess.

I got this impression after choosing the last toast option with my  SentShep a few weeks ago.

First off, if you didn't romance Tali in ME2 then there is no chance in ME3. She moves on (strangely enough). Same with all the ME2 romances besides Liara.

On the topic of how the romances work - once you commit to one (usually a conversation mid-game), then all other romances turn off and you cannot enter another.

There is some odd dialogue that appears if you romances someone else, then swapped for ME3. Nothing serious though.

Joker dumped me, so I spaced his nearly (If I can avoid it) fembot girlfriend. It felt great. And went back to Kaidan.

But, now you mention it. I did switched Garrus for Traynor. I just think he is better of with Tali. I can´t romance my bro.
