I finished all the quests in the Fort Locke area, with Commander Tann saved and such. I know I am supposed to head west to the next area now as I played once in the past without issue. I even saw the area pop up earlier in the game before I initially went to Fort Locke.
Now however when it is time to actually move on, going to the map shows me no next location, I can only go to the zones I've already cleared. Any help would be great. I am on the latest patch according to the auto patcher.
I have not tried restarting completely or reinstalling yet.
Can't progress past Fort Locke

hi Pen,
I have no special reason to think this will work, but could you try reloading your current module from Fort Locke? It might knock some sense into things ..
DebugMode 1
RunScript ga_load_mod("1200_Highcliff", "12_wp_fort_return")
DebugMode 0
that's run from the console (with the ~tilde key), while controlling your main character. If the game's running fine so far, i suggest we try to push onward; and if simply reloading your PC in the Fort Locke area does not straighten out the Map, try n let me know your next expected destination (I'm not *that* familiar with the OC) - is it Highcliff? - & we can try something else.

I tried the code, everything seemed to run and do what it was supposed to. Although it did not fix the map it seems.
Yes Highcliff is my next destination as you guessed.
I loaded up an older save and caught back up, but that did not seem to fix it either
Thank your for the help by the way, it is much appreciated.

So, if I'm reading this right, you are inbetween the Fort Locke Bandit Camp (done) and meeting Elanee on the Road to Highcliff??
i discovered a command that might force Highcliff onto the WorldMap:
rs ka_hotspot_show("1217Highcliff")
( 'rs' is short for 'RunScript', you know this stuff, right? ) Though we got a pretty good chance with this, i'm still a bit skeptical of future events, 'cause I haven't been able to actually pinpoint the issue (which i'd like to). neway, try forcing the Hotspot onto the map ..
Specifically, i haven't figured out how the Kalakcha cutscene that introduces Elanee fires (which offiously *has* to be done on the Road to Highcliff). so I'm hoping that simply clicking to Highcliff itself will initiate that

That is correct, I know the next part is supposed to be me heading to Highcliff with the cutscene. I remember it from the first time I played who knows how many months ago on an older machine.
The command you had me try worked, it brought up Highcliff on the map. However as you probably thought, it skipped the cutscene and getting Elanee altogether. I just started in Highcliff with the cutscene of the boat being taken down by the lizardmen. The one group of bandits or so in town even made fun of the "4" of us despite there being only 3, so that is probably an issue.
I remember upon leaving one of the exits in Fort Locke I got the little scene where she watched me leave, but I did this way early while I was still doing the quests. Maybe that somehow screwed it up from using that exit early?
I have some time tomorrow, should I just try restarting my game altogether?
Also, once again, thank you for the help!

hey yer welcome, I'm learning a lot of stuff about .. a lot of stuff
I'm going to describe two ways of doing this, the first goes through the WorldMap (suggested), the second goes straight for the gold.
1.
rs ka_hotspot_show("1217Highcliff") (as above)
rs ga_global_int("bPlayedEncounterOnThisClick", "0")
rs ga_global_int("bReadyForElanee", "1")
then try the Map.
2.
rs ga_global_int("bReadyForElanee", "2")
rs ga_load_mod("1200_Highcliff", "wp_OL_to_1216")
this should load the Kalakcha scene w/ Elanee

WOOT! Thanks kevL! This seems to have worked just fine! I used the first method and everything has progressed as I remember it now. Hopefully no more snares down the line now
So happy I don't have to start over now.
Once again, thanks for taking the time to figure it out for me!

Hi kevL, I have the same problem, but whenever I try running the scripts, I get a message "virtual machine reports unscuccesful execution..."
Mine is the platinum steam edition; I have just shifted my steam folder to another hard drive (wonder if that caused the problem, since I've never encountered it in previous playthroughs)
Please help!

hello heuro,
the first thing that springs to mind, is that rs is also runscript is also RunScript - and the variation you'd have to use successfully depends on the NwN2 package installed. ( but off the top of me head that should say "invalid command" rather than "unsuccessful" )
So, try those variations & make sure you have your mainPC selected and targetted (for safety). If the commands still don't run, make sure all the quotation marks, commas, capitals etc. are in place proper like .. don't confuse 'oh' with 'zero'
Lastly, it might well have something to do with moving the Steam folder around; not sure how you did that or what it might entail, but personally it's hard to trust anything other than where the game was initially installed to. For example, it (the game) might have lost track of paths to the Campaign or Override folders ( where the scripts are actually located )
tinker around some with it until ya get a successful execution,

Hey it worked! The console insists on "RunScript" in full.
Thanks a million kevL!

I'm having a similar problem, but with the Ship Sabotage quest in Highcliff. I went with Slann, then saved his lizard folk buddies, and told them I needed a minute. They promptly disappeared leaving me with no way to get to the lizard folk lair, any suggestions?
