I loved her voice. Very mysterious and sexy.

I agree...it's the best part about her, IMO.

She just sounds like she's congested or something. I guess I just have strange ears.

Leliana can bring Cassandra home for dinner and my Warden would approve.

Sadly, no one's warden is dead. Thanks to a bioware fail where you can't import your dead warden and Have an Orlesian Warden Commander. If you import your wardens data, he never died to begin with.

Meh I choose to see it as "To save you the effort of going through the game again, you can import your Warden as if he did the DR. He's still dead. This is just if you want to see what happens if you wanted him to live."

I don't want the Warden back, because I am very uninterested in the direction this seems to be going, with Cassandra going on hero worship quest, to find two individuals who I am not sure how they can help her (even if the Warden could have died), instead of doing her job.

So let's start from scratch with a new PC that doesn't reek of superhero bs.

Actually that was not Bioware's fail, it was requested by forum mates who wanted to import their warden even if he/she did the US. Bioware was listening to fanbase feedback on that one. Bioware allowed the fanbase to handwave the US. I would have prefered and did use the Orlesian Warden Commander.

Wouldn't be much of a story if you could tell in advance how things work out. ;)

Hawke can make one side listen to him. Don't ask me how though, as he didn't do a whole lot.

The Warden commands a great deal of respect from Ferelden. Plus he's a great warrior, so maybe they're looking for him to lead some forces?

i honnestly have no idea what the warden could even do. Face another blight? It takes the darkspawn hundereds of years to find an archedemon and our wardens dont live that long. the ONLY reason that would make sense for our warden to come back was to make them go on their calling and i wanted that final dlc for DAO to completely finish the wardens story.

im hoping for DLC to finish Hawke's story and then for DA3 we get someone new.

Personally, I'm sick and tired of all these game series with endless sequels that are all the same. One of the great things about Dragon Age is that the series seems to be connected more by the setting than by characters. I hope to see a new character in a new location in the future. The Warden's story is finished. I've had enough epic Darkspawn-fighting jedi/chosen ones. I'd like to see the next game move even further away from the world-changing, epic event type story, towards an even more personal story than DA2. Why does fantasy, and fantasy games in particular, always have to be so pompous and SUPER-EPIC!!!!1111000 ?

So yeah, new character in the next game, hopefully.

I don't want a new PC. We already have Hawke and The Warden.

Why do we need another hero? Wouldn't that only lead to more superhero bs?

Exactly.

Superhero bs? Um, that's the point no? One PC is the Hero of Fereldan, Champion of Redcliff, Warden-Commander of Fereldan, and (in some playthroughs) King or Queen. The other PC is Champion of Kirkwall and (in some playthroughs) Viscountess of Kirkwall (or idealistic champion of mages/templars). I'm hard pressed to think of ANY recent RPG where your character isn't the hero (or at least anti-hero) of the tale. Besides I'm not playing this game to be a "companion" . I want to make my mark on the world I'm in. A lot of gamers do.

Add another PC? You're just going to get more "superhero bs". I have no problems with adding the ability to import a save from an Orlesian-origin PC, assuming your Warden is dead. Not having this functionality is a big black eye IMHO, but adding another PC? No thanks, there it just too much story to tell.

I want the Warden back, Hawke back, and the storyline plot holes filled.

Me too! I love my wardens and Hawke.. BUT bioware is not bringing the warden back and DA3 will have a new hero/champion/run a way bride ( add more) as main character. The best thing is not to get attached to any character in a game that is about a World and nOT a character. Yes I learned my lesson with the warden.:(

Link to where they announced this? DA 3 is very much in development. To my knowledge we have no idea who we'll be playing as yet. I find it really hard to believe they'd just abandon the warden storyline, especially since they did make the effort to put in little bits of the original companions into DA 2 and make allusions to the Warden.

what would be the point of bringing back a character and forcing people to play a character that can potentially be dead? Then they will have to make his character a low level again, and it would be boring to play a character that is already the champion of something, the to be fair bringing back the character would be good for a laugh because he would have a voice and it would be funny to watch the amount of fan hate it would be hilarious to see people complain about it.

We have no idea who we will be playing in DA3 but DA is about the world, David Gaider explains it a little here.

Thanks. This was exactly what I thought.

DAO was about the Warden. DA2 is about Hawke. What DA3 is about, or if there even will be a DA3, remains to be seen. All we have said about DA is that it's about the evolution of Thedas-- not about any single protaganist-- and we've never said otherwise.

Truth is exactly what I said, we don't know who we're going to play in DA 3. I think abandoning Warden or Hawke as the focus in DA 3 is a mistake, but *shrug* it's their game. They've left so many loose ends in their storylines that adding in yet another protagonist and introducing even more questions sounds pretty damn silly. In the Fallout series you also don't play as the same person throughout each game, and it works for that game because main points in the story do get resolved...but in the DA universe this hasn't been the case. I can only hope that whoever is the protagonist starts wrapping a few things up instead of poking more holes.

Potentially dead (or literally dead) start a new character. Boring to play a character that's
already champion of something? I disagree, that's what story and dialog is for...to make the characters (no matter who they are) interesting.

As far as complaining, fan hate, and voice acting hate, you're are going to get that regardless. The game could be a 10/10 on the scale and someone is always going to rage about something.
