I still don't get how people get attached to a character who never talks ...
Oh please, ... don't get down on THIS low level of argumentation.
But, ... you know I like our pets. Our cat and our dog. I like them even more than most humans. Both do not speak. Take this.

I'm more concerned about having a voiced protagonist, dialogue wheel and three options/personality types to choose from again. Now that would be dire, unless the dialogue wheel somehow gets a major rework.
If expanding on Dragon Age 2's success/features/'innovations' translates into more elements taken away piece by piece from what contributed to Origins' quality, I will not support future titles for this franchise, and I will not, nor do I see a reason to, to wish BioWare commercial success with this 'new shit', irony of EA's marketing chimps of using this song to promote the franchise with sex/blood/violence ( as seen in the trailers ) aside.

Then again, that's, like, you know, my opinion, man.
Either way, I hope I don't have to see Hawke ever again. Unless he's done well next time.
And for those who have killed off their Warden...:
The Orlesian Warden is still there.
Problem?

I want DAO2 - complete with multiple weapon options, crafting, and other non-battle skills. My Wardens still have a lot of unfinished work to do, and really hate leaving it undone.
If your Warden is dead, create a new one. If your Warden went through the Eluvian, bring 'em back or create a new one. And let the HoF continue in relationship with her LI.
Voiced/unvoiced - do not care.
It's probably too much to ask for, as I'm sure the DA development team is already pursuing some other path. Sigh.

Actually, I narrate when I read. I don't imagine a voice at all. So, for me, no one has a 'voice' in a book.
Besides, games aren't books. It's like watching a movie and getting a script in your hand to read the lines of a particular character while everyone else talks.

I'd prefer to have the Warden back over hawke. Hawke is one of the worst characters I have ever played, and the male VO isn't that good either. The female VO was a bit better and less annoying.
I truly hope this is the end of hawke. Let them finish his/her story in DLC's. If hawke is back in DA3, then thats a definite no purchase for me, and DA is dead for me.
@Serpieri Nei
Yeah, a lot of people don't read books anymore, feels like this generation of kids are becoming dumber.
My good friend, Totally right.
i MISS my warden. That s the real hero. Hawke is a just a normal guy.
I really hope dragon age 3, you can choose to be a elf, human, dwarf etc. This is rpg!
They don t give a crap about the fans on this game, dragon ag2, because they knew this game would sell. Now let s wait for dragon age 3.
A big no for bioware so far.

There are plenty of Western RPG games out there that don't let you choose a race DAII isn't the only one. There are plenty of RPGs that don't let you carry your character from game to game. People seem to act shocked about this it's just weird. What do you mean a lot of people don't read books anymore? Harry Potter have been huge sellers so has Twilight, game of thrones. Millions of people are still reading books.

1. Import save-file
2. Open character generator to reshape your Warden, choose voice.
3. Open character generator to reshape Hawke, choose voice.
4. Open character generator to create new character, choose voice.
5. Start game.

I doubt the Warden comes back. I don't have much interest in seeing him again as a character and as a PC unless they go all ME2 and depower him it would have all the interest of ToB's broken difficulty.
I suspect finding out what happened to Morrigan will matter - given the return of the Eluvian in DA2- but because of the dead/not dead, entered the mirror/not in the mirror with the Warden the acknowledgement will just be the slightly different dialogs of "Morrigan entered the mirror and went X" versus "Morrigan and the HoF entered the mirror and went X".

It’s simple: bring back the Origins in DA:3.
1. Import save-file
2. Open character generator to reshape your Warden, choose voice.
3. Open character generator to reshape Hawke, choose voice.
4. Open character generator to create new character, choose voice.
5. Start game.
It would be much more fun to be able to create an all knew character instead of playing older characters. Besides the warden has to many variables which would take away from crafting a good story for the third game. I would rather they not try and work in all the different ways the the first game can end for the warden it would be silly

It’s always a matter of taste. If you don’t want to continue your journey that’s fine. Hence giving the fans the possibility to do so would be great.
BTW, it looks like the next game is set in Orlais, there are not so much variables to take into account. Being the Hero of Ferelden doesn’t mean much in Val Royeaux.

And the world of Dragon Age is massive, Origins was about the blight, and stopping it. DA 2 is about the mage vs templars war, and i'm pretty sure DA3 will be about dealing with it. Hawke started this war, he needs to finish it. I personally hope they bring back Hawke, as i found her very enjoyable.
Now Bioware clearly stated that Dragon Age is not a trilogy, unlike Mass Effect. There will be more Dragon Age after DA3. And they don't all have to be about the Warden.

Surely being the Hero of Ferelden would mean a lot in Val Royeaux, especially if playing a Human Noble or Mage, since you'd be a Ferelden native. For a start there would be a lot of nobility that would treat you like rubbish for your heritage and title and try to downplay your achievements, which might be interesting to see happening to someone who isn't an elf for a change. Then there could be others, perhaps lower class people, who might go for a bit of hero worship. It could mean a lot depending on how they write if if you could play as the Warden.

Since DA2 was announced we knew it was a HUMAN character, you didn't read about it?
Templars did the same with morrigan fighting in denerim, mage tower and redcliff, The templars ignored her been an apostate, witch of the wilds and most likely a blood-mage walking around with 2 fugitives wardens-king slayers, and this wardens were been hunted by Loghain who is/was a Hero for 90% part of the game .. isn't that wierd? Or did you miss the hole origens story?
I like hawke yes the game has few things that bothers me but is not as terrible as you make it seems.

Games don't have to be like movies either. In fact I always felt modern games were a bit of all three; games, movies, and book. I prefer to lean a little more towards the book side for exposition, dialogues, lore, etc. I'm not the biggest fan of cinematic tendency in games.

Morrigan being a mage only came up if you (the player/the Warden) mentioned it. Otherwise, not a word. On the same page, you could use blood magic under their very noses without them reacting. I know, I've done it. That was fun.
