I've played through the gam a few times and I'm about to have another go. I have the PS3 version which has the comic and I've even wacthed through cutscenes of the first game online so i could make the right choices i wanted to. I'm still having trouble with one choice though. When you are about to make the final assualt on Soverign, what is the good or paragon choice? save the council? or attack with the alliance? i always thought it was council but now I'm thinking maybe they wern't the right people to be running things and the new council lead by a human would have a bit more equality but like i said I'm not sure. Your thoughts?
Council or Alliance?

The full paragon choice is to save the Destiny Ascension/ Council. The neutral choice is to tell the Alliance to save their guns to fight Sovereign. The full renegade choice is to "let them[the Council] burn"

Save them. They are just playing with you in Mass2, they have some kind of plan or at least agenda for Mass3. Or then they really are plot hole -level stupid. Anyways, if I remember correctly the human council isn't any better. Leaving them die is also a pretty cheap move.

yea thats what i thought. My last game i killed them off cause like i said i wacthed the cut scenes online and the council was really a dick to shepard in the first game and i thought that a new council was the right choice for everything but then i thought leaving them out to just die was a very dick move you know. But I also didn't like the fact that even if you do save them they still deny the reapers and really don't give shepard any credit just cause he's doing what cerbarus is wanting for a little. I wanted to see if the new council was a bit more acceptive of shepard and his motives but they wouldn't even talk to him because he sacrificed the first council, which i thought was a little childish

I usually saved them for sovereign as I believed that taking out something that could kill all sentient life was more important than risking the galaxy trying to save the council.
Then I realised that an all human council will cause problems and the D.A correctly equipped may be able to take down a reaper solo.

The way I look at it, I was saving the DA, not the Council. That ship might come in handy in ME3.

Pretty much what I've been advocating. Besides, we're probably going to need the ships because at roughly 21:30 in this video it's mentioned pretty much the whole Alliance fleet was wiped out trying to defend Earth, Though I'd like to hope that just means the ships that were stationed around Earth and not all the ships stationed at Arctutus or other System Alliance ships that were deployed or on patrol elsewhere. It's be kind of sad if it was only the Normandy left.
