I have a doubt. Maybe I skip some quest or killings I don't know...the thing is I finish the game with a party of lvl 7 or 8.
Its that ok?? I did something wrong or this is really really short compared with Baldur's Gate 2.

Thanks

No level 8 sounds about right (L10 for a thief)... tales of the sword coast is optional.

If you have it installed as part of your BG1 setup then TUTU will just copy the extra areas across... note that killing your baul-half-bro effectively ends your BG1 game so plan for it.

You can do Totsc in almost any order but I would go north to Ulgoth's Beard first i.e. follow the plot then do the tower and finish at the island (VERY Hard & effectivly a one way trip).

Tales Of The Sword coast doesn't happen after the main BG1 game, you can optionally jump into the three major quest nodes as you please (although you can't go to werewolf island until you've closed down the iron mines).

Head to Ulgoth's Beard to get started on it all. Be aware that these quests are substantially more difficult than most of the rest of the game. Particularly Durlag's Tower. If you don't have a thief with 100 in lockpicks and especially disarming traps, don't even bother to try.

I'm about to finish BG1 with an Elven mage. If I import this character in BG2, can I still pick the sorcerer kit for this one or am I stuck with mage class?

If you have the vanilla BG 1 (e.g. not using the BG 2 engine) then yes when you import him into BG 2 then BG 2 will give you option to kit your mage.

But it doesn't let you switch from wizard to sorcerer, does it? The wizard "kits" in BG2 are the schools, but sorcerer was a separate class IIRC?

Whatever. Wizard is clearly the better class anyway. :-)

Ah I see what you are saying. I don't really know then, because my mages never make it to BG 2, they always die and since I play no-reload...

You won't get the option of changing to sorceror within the game, but could do it using Shadowkeeper if you were particularly keen.  It might though be easier to just roll up a new character as a sorceror (with the same stats) in BG2.

Sorcerer mechanics are so different that it is not a wizard kit.

You can get tutu or BGT and run a sorcerer from Candlekeep at level 1, and import that into BG2.

Level 7 or 8 when you finsih BG1 is OK, it is more than OK. :) It sound about right - as others have mentioned as well. Compared to BG2, especially with Throne of Bhaal, BG1 is relatively short.
